   Was hoping to use this as a powder foundation, as the lady at the counter said it was buildable and could be used for that purpose. Formula feels good on the skin- nice and light weight, but not a lot a coverage (which is fair, as it’s marketed as a pressed powder). The shade I picked is slightly too dark, but should be fine for the summer season. I have dry skin and this doesn’t accentuate my skin texture. I also don’t mind adding back and lost ‘glow’ with highlight from this products mattifying properties. Overall it’s and a good powder foundation for really natural days

   It sets my makeup sooo well, even too well that my complexion looks pretty matte for quiet a long time. This powder is definitely for oily skin or anyone who loves a polished matte look. As for me, I only use it on my oily face days. I would opt it out ftom my routine in winter when My skin is dryer and I want to look dewy. This powder is great for a night out look as it makes my makeup last for a long time.

   My skin is dry and I can get away with just a teeny bit of loose powder (or sometimes even without it) to set my foundation. However, my taste for luminous/dewy makeup + hot humid weather makes everything want to shine more than I would like. That said, I searched for the perfect pressed powder for touch ups on the go, but I couldn’t find anything that didn’t cake up or feel drying. Until MUA members recommended Becca’s FPP. This is a really finely mild powder with a sublime formula, which makes it as cakey-free as a pressed powder can get. Also it’s really lightweight.
   It doesn’t provide coverage to me – but I wasn’t expecting any, so… Just FYI.
   Also, after thinking and going back and forth between Eggshell and Bisque, I finally got Bisque which was supposed to be slightly pink. I didn’t find it pink at all. Actually it suits my neutral skin tone nicely. I got it because Eggshell looked a little bit lighter and I was scared of white casts on photos. Not saying it would give me the geisha effect, but I wanted to be on the safe side, lol. Enough blabbing.
   Now I think I could have picked up anyone out of the two. It’s so fine and “translucent” that wouldn’t make a big difference on my neutral porcelain skin tone.
   The packaging is amazing and feels nice on the hand. I like the Becca “shield” on top of the compact and LOVE the nylon pouch. I put the powder puff in it, so it doesn’t stay in contact with the powder when we close the compact.
   Overall an amazing powder and I would repurchase again and again.

   I think that having this product is rather like owning a fine racehorse, beautiful, sleek, admiring glances from all around, but a bit of a devil to handle correctly!

   Forgive my flight of fantasy but this really is a thoroughbred of powders.

   I am not a fan of powders, pressed, loose, mineral you name it, I’ve tried it, they just seem to sit on my face and highlight my pores and make my nose look even more strawberry like than normal – for yes I have a tendancy to the redness as well as the blackheads and the open pores.
   And I am careful in my application – I roll and press carefully with a puff and brush of the excess with a big fluffy brush, or I apply sheerly with a brush – the former gives me the strawberry nose and the latter the same but wet look.

   The Becca powder is different, as others have said, the texture is sublime, it is fine and creamy, and dare I say it moisturising? Most of all for me is the application, if I swirl tap buff as per a mineral powder with a decent dense kabuki, this lasts and lasts and I have smooth cool clear skin which just looks like skin. I apply this over whichever TM/foundation/concealer I am using and I’m done. Expensive but worth every penny, and as a PPP I am delighted that I am spoilt for choice in colours.

   Having had my HG, prescriptives magic powder discontinued with the sad demise of prescriptives – it gave a soft glow and set make-up without ever drying the skin, I tried this Becca powder in Eggshell. I’ve ivory skin and I like the fact this is v slightly paler and doesn’t darken on each application through the day.

   I bought the pressed rather than loose as the sales girl said the powder tended to spill everywhere and was no good for taking out and about. I’ve found this powder does what it says on the tin, it sets make-up, it doesn’t cake or look too dry and makes my make-up last. It’s not a replacement for magic powder, it is very matt, and in comparison ‘dead’ looking on the skin as all matt products are, but it will do, they say it’s the best, until someone comes out with another ‘magic’ powder. It My regret is it wont make dull skin, or dry skin look any brighter as ‘magic’ did, not having tried other powders, I can’t say if it’s better or worse, but I doubt I’ll invest in any others and risk making costly mistakes for the moment, when summer comes, I may well try to find a powder that’s more glowy, RIP magic powder by presciptives, you’re missed.
   Edit: Time has passed and though I like this Becca powder, it is heavy compared to Eshiko Ultra HD, my new HG, which is undetectable on the skin.

   I bought this last week to add to my kit and I absolutely love it! It is highly pigmented, ultra smooth, applies evenly with a beautiful realistic looking shine/glow to the face. It doesn’t flake…I recommend this as a highlighter for fair complexions/ cool skin undertone and evening makeups! Beautiful…(better than my Bobbi Brown shimmer brick!)

   By far this is the best pressed powder I’ve used! The texture is really fine, love that. Also, my face gets really oily and is shining by noon…after touch ups with this powder, my face doesn’t get as shiny even 3-4 hours later. Also love the packaging…great product!!

   I love how lightweight this feels, unlike most of the other pressed powders in the market today. It takes away the shine on my face without making me look like a clown, and it doesn’t clog my pores. I love it!

   I’d first like to mention that this scores a 7/10 (or high hazard) on cosmeticdatabase.com ‘s toxicity rating, because it contains parabens, silica, mineral oil, fragrance, methyldibromo glutaronitrile, PEG-150 and several others. I feel this is important to note because I don’t believe that cosmetic companies should be poisoning their consumers with restricted and dangerous ingredients. There are many healthier ingredients that can be used in place of all of these, and I become especially irritated when a high end company charges a lot of money for a product that can help cause any number of health problems. Sorry, getting off the soap box now; it’s just something I feel passionately about 😉
   Anyway, besides that, this powder is actually pretty good. Very finely milled, never chalky and comes in a cute compact. The powder itself cracked pretty quickly and the mineral oil is bad for breakout-prone skin, but it goes on very natural and seems to help keep oil under control. Perhaps if Becca signed the Compact for Safe Cosmetics I’d buy from them again, but as is? No chance.

    i’m new to the Becca line and I took this back to the shop after i found it had ALREADY SMASHED when I got home from purchasing, was NOT impressed at all considering it was £33 which is the most i’ve ever spent on a powder. it also wasnt particulary good at keeping away oilies. i’m curious about the loose version now after reading better reviews….anyway thankfully the MA’s were really nice when i returned it, they suggested a swap for a new one initally but i dont wanna risk the same thing happening again so i declined. i was anticipating a bit of coldness from them they were actually really helpful and recommended other products; i ended up with a sample of the matifying primer which i may just end up buying because it seems rather amazing!anything that can take shine off my nose deserves look at even though its kpricey £30 for a 50ml bottle. but if it does the job i spose i wont mind. the packaging of this was lovely tho, it looks designer and it might aswel look the part considering it costs a bomb
