This is another product I would give a big fat 0 stars to Bc it was my first ever pressed powder purchase as a very oily faced teenager! & I didn’t know any better back than Bc the fragrance in this was totally intrusive & really irritated my skin but I kept on using it now really knowing any better ! & then I finally realized that this garbage was bad Bc it had that obnoxious noxzema smell! So I switched to their fragrance free sensitive pressed powder and in fact that when I ultimately switched my entire skincare products to Clinique Bc it was fragrance free & my skin wasn’t so red & aggravated my perfume in my products!

I love the scent of this, so retro and nostalgic.
The formula is sheer but gives just enough coverage. It cuts the redness and shine on my nose from my frequent allergies and evens out my skin tone overall.
I don’t like the puff that comes with it. Picks up too much powder and makes me look dry. I replace it with a sponge for smoother application.
I’m also SO glad Covergirl is certified cruelty free so I can buy them again!

I’ve been using this off and on since I was about 12-13 years old and I’ve always went back to it, never found another powder that worked as well or was light enough for my ultra pale skin! For reference I use MUFE Mat Velvet in the lightest shade for foundation, so the light shade in this is a good match. No orange or pink tone to worry about building up after all day. It’s sheer and works great, inexpensive. I also always love the smell of this! I just wish they would go back to the old packaging because it closes better and the hinge didn’t break as easy.

This was a love at first sight. Ever since i started getting super oily skin (at around junior high) I HAD to use something to absorb the oil so that I won’t get those pesky blackhead all over my face. And also to help with the shine too, but I care way more about my actual skin than how oily my skin look.. I just want the oil to be not clogging my skin. So I bought mine at Walmart(as always^.^) and I loved loved loved it!!! I used it for approximately three years.. so that’s quite some time…BUT unfortunately I had read about how talc is really bad for your lungs and i figured that all this time I’ve been using it I’ve been inhaling it in. You may say that you’re positively that you never got it in through your nose.. but weirdly for me I started to have breathing problem especially at night when I was trying to sleep and it was hard to breath. I had to breath really hard and that just annoys me because if I’m focusing on my breathing how can I sleep and I figured it gotta be the powder (honestly every morning when I put it on I KNOW fro a fact it’s been going in through my nose. ANYWAYS wayyy off topic, I stopped using it, but I’m going to say if you have no problem with that than by all means feel free to try this powder I tell you, you will not be sorry you bought it.

This is one of my all time favorite products. It always delivers a nice matte finish and I love the smell.

I use this in Ivory and Soft Honey for my basic contouring, when I’m looking for a look that’s more subtle than cream foundation. Does the trick and doesn’t sit too heavy on the skin.

I get oily and have used the oil control version of this a long time ago and I felt like it didn’t really do anything to control it. I still used it cuz I like the sweet smell n it still helped cover decently, but after a while I hit pan n the powder started to crumble. I used other powders after that and just recently decided to give it another go but I got the normal skin instead. Honestly I like this a lot better than the oil control one n I feel it lasts longer in keeping my face fresh, which is strange. I threw out the little pad it came with cuz I think that’s part of what causes the compact to break plus I didn’t wanna contaminate it like I usually do so I use a brush to apply it. Pretty decent powder. I like it better than the neutrogena acne powder.

One of those scents that I will always be fond of. Smells so fresh and innocent. I love spraying this on my hair. Perfect for just lazing around the house or those running errands-only day. I agree with those who said that the initial spray can be a bit strange and overpowering, but once it settles, it becomes lovely and comforting (to me, at least).
EDIT: I’m not sure what has happened, but I cannot stand this scent on me anymore. 🙁

This perfume smells exactly like clean laundry. I am obsessed with smelling this on lazy days when I am not in the mood for a high maintenance routine. It makes me feel fresh and clean. I would not wear this out or to work, but around the house it really lifts my mood.

I am a fan of a couple of the Clean fragrances, but not this one. I am a migraine sufferer, so it will never be possible for me to be an expert on fragrances. However, to me, this one smells like a combination of baby powder and lemons. It doesn’t induce a migraine, but it doesn’t really smell particularly good.

Smells like Dove soap with a hint of sugar. Does indeed smell “Clean”. Great for just hopping out of the shower and getting on the move. It’s not something I’d wear on a date with the hubby, but something I’d toss on when I’m in a rush. Would I buy it again after it runs out? No, but it’s nice to have around and will be rarely worn so it should last a good while.

The first time I smelled this was in 2004, and InStyle had one of those perfume ads with the sniff-strip. I was lying in my mom’s room and flipping through it, and bam! This scent hits me and I’ve never been able to get over it.
Fast forward 10 years now and it’s still my all-time favourite. I’ve got about 8 empties sitting at home, and still going strong on the love. Maybe it’s how it reacts to my skin, but the initial spray is (agreed) overpowering and Lysol-like. But given 10 minutes, it morphs into this light, delicious, lemony-fresh soap smell. I have endless compliments everytime I wear it. I’ve had creepy experiences of random strangers sniffing at me. And best of all…Ive become associated with the scent. My friends will be walking in a mall, suddenly catch a whiff of Clean, and think that I’m there too.
So the catch22 here is that while I’m completely in love with it, and love being unique in this scent, it concerns me that so few others love it like this! I’m constantly stricken with the worry that they’re going to stop making it!!! I hope they never do – this is my signature scent, and it’s been 10 years of love for it.
My one gripe is the packaging – whenever I travel with it, and I do often, I lose about a 10th of the perfume to cabin pressure or something. Ugh. They never updated the packaging! My only remedy is to wrap a beloved scarf around the bottle, so at least the leakage does something useful!
**EDIT** And if anyone who tried it, and hated it, and wants to get rid of it…talk to me, I have no problems picking up a spare bottle 🙂 But word of warning to everyone too.. I once made the mistake of getting Clean from those perfumeria or perfume mania outlet places…NOT THE SAME. They changed the formula there! Pure Sephora or Holt Renfrew buy for me

Holy crap, I am so sorry I ever bought this. It was so expensive for what it is. $70 bucks for a crappy fragrance that was not special. At first I thought I would love it, its clean smelling and not going to overwhelm. It smells like something fake. Hard to describe but its not a “clean” smell to me. It smells a lot like one of those chemical soaps from the restrooms. I don’t think that is something to aspire to.
I have tons of fragrances and have tried tons in the last 25 years and this is a total dud. WAY overpriced and chemically. Unless you wanna smell like you walked out of the department store restrooms then go for it.

This stuff smells like ramune. Love the smell, doesn’t take a lot for it to last all day.

Great inexpensive oil free powder!
I’m one of those people that unless something is really spectacular or you can’t find the color anywhere else, I don’t like to by my makeup other than drug or big box stores. I can’t justify spending that kind of money and I like to get a lot of things when I shop, not just one item that I feel guilty about spending so much money. Well, this powder compact proves that you don’t need to spend a lot to get a lot.
The fact that it is oil free is what drew me to the product and I know that Cover Girl has been known for good cosmetics for the skin for decades.
The only problem when shopping at a drug store is that you can’t test it, so picking a color can be tricky, but I held the compact up to my cheek in front of a mirror at the store and did the best I could. I settled on #525 Buff Beige which has a nice warm tone (most powders make me look like a ghost because even though I have a slight olive complexion I am very pale.) It is a light color but doesn’t make me look washed out.
I wear it all over my face in the summer because I tend to get very shiny all over then and it doesn’t look pastey or cakey, just matte. When the weather is cooler I use it to set the concealer I use under my eyes and on my eyelids before shadow and it helps the staying power a lot.
Very happy with it. if you can manage to pick out a color for yourself at the store I think you can’t find a better oil free powder (and I’ve been through A LOT of them over the years.) The compact is nice and sturdy. Great buy!

Cover girl powders are my go to for setting powders. This was my first makeup as a teenager. I keep going back to it. But no coverage, just great with setting. The compact is also easy to break

I’m quite impartial towards this powder.
In a way, I’m pleased with this powder because it’s not one of those products that visibly cakes on your face, yet I’m disappointed with the fact that it hardly puts any powder on my face. This is a very sheer powder; in a way, it’s TOO pressed, because it’s very difficult to get any product on a soft, fluffy powder brush. The little powder puff or whatever it’s called that comes with it is useless and doesn’t succeed in picking up much product. This makes it hard to distribute any onto the skin, so it’s hard to tell how well it works!! However, if you’re looking for something that will look very natural and not even noticeable, then you may want to check out this product. Basically, it’s very sheer and light coverage. Personally, I liked the way it looked on my skin; whatever product actually made it on there, that is.
The color matched me very well; I’m extremely pleased about that. I’m very pale, and the lightest shade matched my current skin tone perfectly. I don’t really know the shade range, but I don’t think it’s very broad for this powder.
In terms of staying power, I actually think that it did well. Maybe that’s because there really isn’t much product in the first place, but I think that it did pretty well. Its shine controlling abilities are decent, in my opinion. Not perfect, but a lot better than some powders that I’ve tried.
I bought this on sale when my local Shaws was closing, so I got it for a very cheap price- about $3, I think, so I can’t complain there! I think that it’s pretty inexpensive, though, about $6, so it’s affordable. The compact in which it comes in is pretty nice; the Normal skin one comes in a brown and clear compact with a large mirror. You get a decent amount of powder for the price, too; especially since it has a long shelf life. I’m not too big on the smell; the fragrance is extremely parfumated and fake. It doesn’t bother me, but it’s not really my preference. Overall, I might purchase this again.

I love this fragrance. Bought last month, it is pricey for me and for an everyday perfume. I wanted something mild for work. This is critrus does not last long though.

I got a sample of this from Sephora, and it’s okay. I don’t smell anything like wet dog or any other sort of unpleasantness. It smells – clean. Soapy with little hints of a very light musk, a delicate floral, and a bit of citronella, but mostly it smells like bubbles. When I put it on, it smelled as though I had spilled a bottle of bubble solution on my skin. If that very clean, very soapy smell is what you’re looking for, look no farther. But for me, this is definitely a try before you buy – the scent is incredibly simple and, even to lovers of clean smells, may be underwhelming.

I don’t understand all the bad reviews here. Yes, this smells a little lemony at first but it quickly settles into such a fresh, clean, beautiful, feminine scent. I love it!! It just smells like sunshine to me and not too much like soap as others have stated. I wear this during any season, whenever the mood strikes (which is often). Probably best for day wear because it’s not necessarily a “sexy evening out” kind of scent, but great for everyday use.
