I bought this based on online reviews and it’s pretty decent. I got the lightest shade, 110…the shade selection seems to be very limited, but this shade works fine for my light to medium skin tone. I see it as a setting powder, and it has a matte finish that stays put. My skin is normal, not oily or dry, so I’m not sure how it might work on those skin types.
It comes with a little foam pad, but I’ve been applying with a fluffy brush. I haven’t noticed any “age defying” going on when I use this, but it requires little to no touch ups, and doesn’t settle into lines or look patchy as the day goes on. My skin looks smooth and even. A nice, affordable, matte finish setting powder. Yeah, I’d buy again.

I was also pleasantly surprised by this drugstore gem! It was on sale @ SDM a while back and I decided to buy it – Wow! Did not expect the powder to work as well as it did! Leaves a great finish and doesn’t cake , doesn’t dry and doesn’t cause irritation. Removed one lippie due to the packaging- the compact itself is great but the mirror is so tiny and awkward…Will repurchase once I find this powder again…Cover Girl: PLEASE DO NOT DISCONTINUE! Great powder that beats most high end anti-aging powders for MUCH less$$.

I recently have found myself buying CG products 2-days straight now.I have strayed away in recent years, because of discontinued products, color match,etc..I’m really glad that I picked this powder up.Slightly hesitant, but found myself walking back to the aisle & picked this.Wow! I was really impressed when I tried this @ home.Great job CG,A+ !!

My skin has gotten dryer of late, and I have been slathering it in oils and creams to make it feel comfortable. As a result, it looks shiny, and my usual radiant foundations are just adding to it. I still dislike the idea of matte foundations, so I have decided a light powder is the way to go for now. I am also feeling lazy, and powders just feel easier. I saw this in a Tati video, and figured it was cheap so why not. This was sooo worth it for me. It somehow feels kind of moisturizing but does not leave my skin looking shiny, just kind of satiny. I use this with an IT cosmetics powder brush, the sponge it comes with is kind of useless. It adds radiance but without looking sparkly or shimmery. It stays on all day too and feels really comfortable on my skin. I have tried other powders, and they all end up looking…..powdery for lack of a better word. This looks like good natural skin on me. And I love the price. I would definitely repurchase. Only reason I don’t give it 5 lippies is the lack of color choices. They are all very light, and this line is worth expanding to meet more customers color selection needs.

OK so…I never wear foundation, I am a concealer and powder girl. I’m hardly ever loyal to one brand of powder and normally try a new one every month. This powder is this months experiment. I expect a lot from my powders, since I don’t wear foundation, I have combo skin, and I work in a humid environment, get sweaty throughout the day, and never touch up my makeup mid day. I’m also always rushed in the morning so I need it to look good just with a few quick swipes of a brush. Yes yes and yes.
I have a problem with certain powders drying me out and making my skin feel tight-this powder feels silky smooth and not drying at all. I have a shiny t-zone and this mattifies that….by the end of a long day I might FEEL shiny, sweaty, oily-but when I check my face in the mirror, this powder hasn’t budged, still looks fresh. I apply this with a kabuki, never tried the puff, it feels really silky, leaves a kind of satin finish, it has mica in it for that soft focus glow-but its not sparkly, it’s more of a setting powder than a powder foundation but it kind of blurs imperfections and evens out skin tone without adding much coverage. I bought this in Ivory, it is quite light but it works for me.
On to the ridiculous parts…firstly, this cost me about $15 CDN. For a drug store powder that’s pretty steep, most cost me about $10 at most. Secondly…only three shades were available??? I was lucky that the lightest shade worked for me. The MOST ridiculous part isn’t really an issue I just find it absurd…on the packaging it says “Inspired by Olay”. Like….what the hell does that even mean??? It doesn’t exactly claim to contain any Olay ingredients, but if you were just glancing at the package you would assume that it did-which kind of seems like a trick of sorts doesn’t it?
In any case, its a damn good powder that gives a kind of airbrushed look, its not chalky or dying and does not emphasize fine lines, dry patches or pores-at least in my experience. It helped keep my concealer in place, even on my chin which tends to get oily. It kept my forehead from being shiny which is a near impossible task, and it keeps me covered for a full work day. It’s a winner

I am a concealer-and-pressed-powder gal on my usual workdays when I don’t want to fuss with a liquid or cream foundation, so whatever powder I use needs to be kind of heavy duty to even out my complexion.
This powder doesn’t give a ton of coverage (not an issue, because powders in general don’t), but it does mattify WITHOUT giving a chalky cast to my skin, and controls t-zone oil for hours. Over liquid foundation (I paired it with Revlon Colorstay for oily/combo skin), it gives an absolutely flawless, almost airbrushed finish. My other powder fave from the drugstore, Rimmel Stay Matte, is a bit more of a true matte powder; this is more along the lines of a satiny finish.
This IS a bit pricier than what we’ve grown accustomed to with drugstore powders, but I believe it’s a quality product so I’m not going to belabor the point. I don’t necessarily have sensitive skin but I’ll also note this did not break me out or bring out any texture issues, for those of you who are trying to avoid that. This powder is definitely worth a shot if you are roaming the aisles for a new face powder that isn’t going to do nothing, but isn’t going to super-mattify either.

I’m NW25 with dry skin.
I bought this in 2 different shades. I bought 115 for a skintone match and 105 for lightly setting concealer under my eyes. I’d say that 115 is more cool with a peachy undertone and 105 is warmer with a more neutral yellow undertone.
The compact seems very sturdy. I don’t carry it around with me though, so I don’t know exactly how it would hold up from day to day. It does seem sturdy enough imo.
This is a very soft, hydrating, skin-melding powder. It’s so soft in the compact, that my soft, fluffy powder brush has left tiny divots on the surface of the powder. It goes on so well, sets my foundation, takes down any shine, and looks so very natural on my skin. It has a semi glow to it that’s just beautiful and radiant. It’s hard to over-apply this powder. It doesn’t give me a dry feeling after I apply it, and it doesn’t dry my skin out throughtout the day either! It just melds in so well with my dry skin and foundation, adds just a bit of extra coverage, and has the most beautiful finish. It is somewhat similar to MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural, but I don’t think that it’s a true dupe.
I didn’t notice any overwhelming fragrance, and it didn’t irritate my skin in any way.
I do love this and highly recommend it, especially for dry skin. I will repurchase.

I love this powder. I’m a powder woman, rather than liquid. I use this alone and it’s replaced my Estee Lauder Lucidity powder. I find this is far more becoming. It does have lucidity so if you like a matte powder this is NOT for you. I will place this right up with Dior and Becca powders. I’ve tried them side-by-side and this is far more sheer and ‘melt’s in to your skin. Yes, the color selection is limited and for winter I’ve used 115 and summer 120 but at $ 7 anyone can afford a summer color and winter color. Love it! Always a true joy to find a high end product at a d/s price/location ****

I do not understand the good reviews for this powder…this is not a very good powder at all. The formula is chunky and chalky looking and accentuates every pore and dry area on my face if used alone. The color selection is completely lacking and this offers no coverage. This takes away shine for setting foundation alright but I have to be very careful when applying or it can make my foundation cake up..
I also noticed that covergirl severely cheapened their packaging for this product.while raising the cost? Why is this thing $9 (at walmart..). It used to have a big mirror inside but now it has a clear lid with a tiny round mirror inside and a cheap sticker slapped ontop of the lid. Wtf covergirl!
Ill continue to use this but will not buy again, I will update if anything changes..

Gorgeous pressed powder! I bought this because I was finding my fav powder Estee Lauder Lucidity to be way too expensive. This is a great alternative. It’s got quite a lot of coverage for a pressed powder I can get away with using just this with a moisturizer underneath although I find it does look a touch powdery on the skin at first. It looks amazing overtop of my BB cream, I love that the finish is dewy but not shiny and doesn’t make my skin look oily at all. Just a fresh beautiful look. Would repurchase.
