I have used this powder over the years. Its not an outstanding powder. But does the job if I was going for a casual make up look and didn’t want to use my other high end powders. I currently have one in my make up box now where I use time to time. Have to use it throughout the day and retouch your face. Does have the cakey/powder feel

I like to set my foundation with a light powder, and I was looking for an alternative to the Covergirl Clean for sensitive skin. I have tried this multiple times since buying it and it just isn’t a good all-over-the-face setting powder. It makes my face look powdery and cakey, and it’s a bit too opaque. However, I gave it 4 lipsticks because as a mattifying powder for the area around my nose, it’s really great. It works perfectly and can be reapplied throughout the day to this oilier area in order to prevent shiny face! It’s more of a ‘keep in your bag for touch-ups’ than an ‘all over face’ powder, but it does a good job of mattifying!

I LOVE LVOE LOVE LOVE LVOE OLOOOVOVVVEEE THIS STUFF!!! I can’t even spell it’s so good. I cannot seem to find a powder to set better than this one. It’s wonderful!!

I got this while traveling to set the new CG whipped Fdn I was trying (pretty good stuff) and I’m really impressed with it. I find it very similar to my Clinique Almost powder fdn in coverage and staying powder but this feel a little bit lighter. If you just need something to set or smooth out your moisturizer or light fdn this would work well. Be aware if you layer it really heavy it will appear chalky until some skin oils can blend it out. I’ve gone from HE Jane Iredale to this and I’m honestly surprised I like it as much as I do. Every now and then CG comes out with a quality product that works well for me. The coverage is sheer and minimizes my pores. It doesn’t make my skin itch like BE and so far has lasted 6+ hours in the sun and minor sweating of summer with minimal wearing off. (I have pretty balanced skin so I don’t ever have an excess of face oil) For summer I’m wearing lighter coverage so an Olay Total Effects CC Cream (oh look another repackaged TM!) and this powder is perfect.
If you need a cheap powder for touch ups or setting I’d definitely give this a try. Most of the time you can find CG on sale somewhere too.

This is my go to face/setting powder. Hit the pan every time and use it every day. Used to use MAC Blotting Powder but felt it was too drying and looked too much like powder on my face. Tried MakeupFover HD powder and it was just too messy and left a white cast on my face. Bought this on a whim after reading some reviews (and having a coupon) and love it!
PROS:
– Great natural look
– Sets makeup very well – especially undereye concealer
– Great for normal to slightly oily skin
– If you are lucky enough to be a color match blends into your skin amazingly and leaves no powdery look
CONS (Why only gets 4 lippies)
– Not the longest lasting oil control – I usually need to use a blotting paper or reapply around 3pm
– Not the greatest amount in the pan – I go through these rather quickly
– Hate the sponge that comes with the product

i heard somewhere that this was a dupe for MAC MSFN (which breaks me out horribly). I gave it a go and sadly I don’t think they’re comparable. This isn’t a bad product, but it’s not great either. It’s very powdery and gets all over the place when you put your brush in the compact.
The finish is very cakey, even when applied with a large fluffy brush.
I’ve repurposed this product and use it on my eyes as a highlight/blender shade rather than an all-over face powder.

This isn’t the best product to wear as a foundation, yet it it wonderful when you apply it over your liquid foundation.
It gives a nice hold and makes your makeup look very smooth.
I rate it a 3 for an overall foundation.
Yet a 4 or 5 as a powder to use over your liquid foundation.

Just purchased this. I usually use loose powders but sometimes we need to do touch ups and pressed is the most practical. I wanted something that was close to my skin tone. I am NC45 and I picked up Translucent Tawny. Pleasantly surprised. It blends into my skin very well. I have combo skin and it helped my skin look matte without looking dried out. I have combo skin, and usually get some shine on my nose and forehead. I am not a fan of the scent of this powder nor the packaging. I don’t really like the applicator and the powder touching when not in use. I prefer the mirror and applicator in a separate compartment than the powder (i.e. Fit Me Pressed Powder). But so far so good. I think I will repurchase.

I have EXTREMELY oily skin, and quite a bit of acne, large pores and a lot of scarring. I’m constantly on the look-out for pressed powders that will help minimise the shiny look that I always get when I wear makeup. I’ve only tried this COVERGIRL TRUblend Pressed Powder a few times, but so far I really like it. I have found that it makes me appear less shiny. I’m also very fair skinned, so found that the light shade suited me perfectly. It’s not too sheer, and definitely not full coverage. I typically prefer powders that are full coverage because I need something that it going to completely cover my acne, but I was pleasantly surprised by the coverage of this Covergirl powder. I have bought myself a back-up of this powder, for when I run out of the one I am currently using.
This product costs $18.95 in Australia, however I purchased it on sale for $11.37.
I would recommend this to anyone who has oily skin.
Pros
– helped minimise the appearance of my oily skin (mattifying)
– doesn’t feel heavy on the skin
– decent coverage (NOT full coverage, NOT extremely sheer either)
Cons
– don’t like the compact that it comes in, especially the mirror which is way too small
– don’t like the sponge that comes with it (but this isn’t a major issue)
– a little too overpriced for what it is (especially in Australia, as cosmetics here are usually expensive)

I found this powder to be just horrible, it reminded me more of a powder foundation than just your average setting powder. It’s extremely thick, looks powdery and fake on the skin, even with just a very light dusting. Normally I would blame it on my mature/normal/dry skin but I have other powders that work beautifully.

use this over a long-last foundation. Just a btw.
Pros- simple, very soft powder yet isn’t messy or all over the place. controls greasies.
Cons- you can easily overpowder in my opinion. don’t even get me started on that puff it comes with. it will make you look so fake. I suggest a LIGHT fluffy brush otherwise you’ll look cakey.
Once you know how to work with it, it’s like PERFECT, HG and amazing.:) I love that it’s transculescent but doesn’t make you look ashy or anything.

I like to have a natural look to my makeup as far as foundation and powder. I tried the tru blend foundation in shade 2 and it’s a perfect match for me, so I figured I’d give this a try for days I don’t want any shimmer in my powder. Goal achieved. This powder matches my tone perfectly, and keeps my oil at bay. It’s very smooth in consistency and delivers a natural look. It’s got sheer to medium coverage I’d say, but doesn’t look fake or cakes on, or orangey at all, which is usually my problem with powder. I had a little issue with the applicator, as it is leather like on the back so it has sort of sharp edges, and I’m scared to get close to my eyes with it. So I bought a four pack of elf powder puffs and it’s a perfect fit in the compact so I’m now happy with this product, and I will likely repurchase because it is great for delivering the smooth natural finish I want and the shade (translucent light) is the best match for my skin color of any powder I’ve used.

This is a great powder, on it’s own or over the Advanced Radiance liquid foundation. This has light coverage, and a very silky matte finish, that makes skin look really smooth. The shades run lighter than they appear, I am an NC25 and am using “Translucent Light” but could probably use the next shade darker. I appreciate that the compact is slim, but I don’t like how cheap it looks because of the sticker lid coverin. The ingredient lists for both the Trublend and the Advanced Radiance powders are the same, so I love that one too. This is a very nice, reasonably priced powder, that can double to set my makeup or as a powder foundation. I would def. recommend!

This is one of my favorite pressed powders, because it has enough coverage that I can use it as a powder foundation. The finish is very smooth and skinlike, and this doesn’t oxidize on my oily skin like others powders do. I usually use a soft brush to apply this, and because I detest the included puff which is too thin, stiff, and has sharp edges , so I replace it with CG’s regular/soft puffs for on the go touch-ups. This comes in some good fair shades…usually I am the lightest shade, but in this I wear Translucent Light. I love the compact, which isn’t overly bulky or an annoying split pan. I don’t wear foundation, so I like a powder that can take away shine and also give me a bit of coverage, which this does.

Im NC37 and I use Honey. Great match. I use this to set my foundation but only use a little bit. If I use too much then I spray some fix over it otherwise it would look to matte and powdery. When I wear this on its own I tend to use a bit more and it looks like I’m wearing nothing! It definitely keeps my face matte and evens out my skin tone. I don’t have many blemishes or redness on my face but enough to notice. It works really well I must admit. I really like this powder!

I hate this powder it makes my face look flakey! it also cakes very easily . This powder is not for my combination skin! I also dont like it when my face looks matte. A matte finish looks fake and not purdy!

I am a makeup junkie. I normally buy high end powders because I thought they were more finely milled. Well, this powder performs extremely well for the money, I may never go back to higher end!
The only thing I would suggest is it is best for those with combo or oily skin. I am combo and I get good results when I have moisturized first. I would not recommend this for drier skins unless you use a very emollient moisturizer first. The packaging is not very protective, drop it and you’ve lost it. Overall, a great find. I like the fact that it’s mineral and not loose but pressed so it’s a lot neater and easier to transport and touch up on the go. Bought two different colours, a great match for my skin tone, easy application. Impressed. Thank you Cover Girl!
Edit: The amount of product in the packaging is minimal. I barely used it and have already reached the bottom. Minus one lippy.
Edit 2: Thought I’d try something else but couldn’t resist the price of this and the terrific match to my skin tone. I use it to touch up and rid my face of shine. Bought it on sale this time. Does not break me out, which is a bonus. Like the silver colour of the packaging although wish it was a bit more protective.
