I use the pressed foundation in Duchess. It is so natural looking on, guys could wear it. It makes me look younger, so I really like it and it also stays on for the day.

Why aren’t there more reviews of this foundation??? Well, I think it may have something to do with the fact that I’m pretty sure it’s not widely available (I know it is sold within Australia and New Zealand… not sure where else). But its quality made me assume that more people must have reviewed this already!
Anyway. I’m not a fan of powder foundations. My skin is quite acne-prone, which means I have lots of hyperpigmentation marks, and I’m also prone to dry skin – especially in winter. Liquid foundations just tend to be more moisturising and provide more coverage in comparison.
But I’ve finally managed to find a way to use this to yield great results! I apply a really good concealer under my eyes and on my hyperpigmentation marks BEFORE applying the foundation (something you’re supposed to do when using powder foundation anyway). Then I use the free brush that comes with the foundation to swirl this on my face. Gives a great natural-looking matte finish. And what’s more is the final coverage looks pretty much the same as if I had used liquid foundation! This thing lasts pretty much the whole day and has a less likely chance of sliding or rubbing off after a hot, sticky day.
The only thing I’d be careful with this foundation is selecting your shade. BUY ONE SHADE LIGHTER THAN YOUR NORMAL SHADE, PLEASE. I originally bought the shade Doris (medium shade with rosy undertones) because that was the shade that looked most similar to all the foundations I use. Nope. Too dark. And the reason why is because this mineral foundation is multi-purpose – if you layer it on your skin, it doubles as a bronzer i.e. the foundation gets darker with layered application. So, I got my sister to buy me the lighter shade Minx (medium shade with yellow undertones) so I can swap Doris with her (she is slightly darker than me anyway, so it would work). And Minx is perfect for me.
Powder foundation is a little tricky to use if you’re not used to using it. But if you want to try it because you want long-lasting makeup that has a very natural matte look, I would try this and start off using Thin Lizzy. Now, I wish more makeup brands did quality powder foundations like this one so I can buy more!!
Only things I don’t like about this is the price (it’s $40AUD each) and the free brush that comes with the foundation doesn’t wash off completely. I don’t know why. It’s either the materials of the brush or the foundation’s formulation. Just buy the thing when it’s on sale (if you’re in Australia – Priceline 40% cosmetics sale) and maybe use a different foundation brush instead. Not a huge con for me.

I used this product for two years while I had really bad acne and it wasn’t the best. Sure it came in my colour (enchanted rose), which is usually quite hard to do but it didn’t last long. Within hours my face was shiny and felt really heavy. Applying more was never a good idea as it would make it look even worse in terms of cakiness.
On the plus side it was super easy to use and remove. I guess it would work well for those lucky people with neither dry or oily skin. It also stays on alright while swimming.

(I use this in shade Enchanted Rose in the pressed powder)
I really love this foundation. I have fair skin, so the shade Enchanted Rose is perfect for me. Its very lightweight and I love how even it makes my skin tone. I prefer to use this foundation in summer because when its really hot, if you sweat, it doesn’t rub off and stays matte. I definitely recommend this product. It’s great.

This is by far my favourite foundation powder. This is very easy and quick to use. You don’t really need much, and actually a little goes a long way. My skin colour actually is olive, but the lighter versions of the powders (Duchess & Oriental Doll) really suits my skin tone and made a rather nice and natural finish. Both colours are great when used alone, or at times I would mix them together to create a less and blended tone.
What I really love about this is that this product does not dry my face out, nor does it break it out either. On really hot summer days, it does not go cakey or fade. But again, it’s the really natural looking finish that I love, unlike some other products I’ve used that gave me ghastly whitening or powdered look. I am totally converted to this mineral foundation powder now.

This new loose (note this is the Loose one i am talking about not the compact as i have not used that one) mineral foundation is AWESOME! It is especially good if you touch up your problem areas with the thin lizzy concealer first. Put this over the top and wala! Perfection! I have dry skin and this still is awesome! Stays on pretty good and easy to touch up without getting cakey.
You can just dust it on lightly for a very minimal coverage – which is perfect for a summers day. Or you can build it up for quite a full coverage foundation. It is so easy to apply – i literally just chuck it on and it always looks good! So quick too so great if you are in a hurry, or also great and easy if you are not a pro at putting on foundation – like me 🙂
I got the MINX shade which is perfect for my (NC30 MAC, 2w2 Rattan estee lauder) skin
You wont regret buying this – must have in your makeup bag!!! It comes with the brush too
