Im an NC42 and purchased this in Stromboli. i love the yellow tone and it looks beautiful over my foundation (its too sheer to use alone for me)….UNTIL THE AFTERNOON. it melts off my face SO fast. i do have oily skin and need to blot with whatever makeup i use…but not like this! it turns into a huge oily mess. i want to love it as when i initially apply it it is perfect, but even when i use a mattifying primer the same thing happens. Also-it cracked and makeup went everywhere. so so fragile! i didnt even have it in my handbag! i just leave it in my cupboard and make sure im super careful as i heard other reviewers say the same thing. Oh well. Will definitely not repurchase. theres better makeup out there.

I’m NC25-30 and both Barcelona and Stromboli suit my colouring although I slightly prefer Stromboli as it is more yellow/olive. This powder doesn’t cake and gives an invisible finish but it does not mattify my slightly oily t-zone in the slightest.

This oxidizes on me. I use the color Tahoe and in the morning it is beautiful. By lunchtime I look like a melon head. My face is orange and looks dry. It is still sitting in my makeup case and I’m trying to decide what to do with it. I haven’t had a foundation oxidize on me in YEARS so I guess I’ll go back to my Smashbox.

My latest HG. I bought this as a setting powder to use with my Truematch foundation and I love it.
Edit 05/23/2015, I think that this has been discontinued, but I don’t reach for it. It doesn’t look nice on the skin, and it doesn’t apply properly- no matter which brush I use. It ends up looking splochy, and isn’t mattifying at all.

I don’t know what all the complaints are about on here, I can’t feel this powder and it’s making me look flawless what’s to complain about ! It’s my perfect shade (Siberia ) nothing is ever white enought for me and this is perfect, anyways it’s all about the brush you use, I use the sephora classic multitasker brush and buff and buff and buff some more until I have my desires coverage! If u want longer wear get a liquid foundation

Finally I have found a replacement for Mac MSF!!! This is a great powder to set my liquid foundation. Works beautifully with Nars Sheer Glow. I wear barcelona in sheer glow, however I opted for the shade Punjab in the powder. It would be my recommendation to always go lighter with a powder. They look beautiful together! Not chalky or cakey at all, just melts into the foundation. Adds a little coverage. So happy!

Nars powder foundation is very expensive. It’s a light coverage foundation (buildable). This foundation is like second skin. AMAZING. The foundation is not heavy, you can’t feel it on your skin. Great undertones not yellow or red. I use it with “Two Face” priming powder and my skin looks like velvet. Smooth Smooth Smooth!
Because it’s light coverage and i apply meduim coverage it doesn’t last long. Every 2 1/2 months i’m spending $50 for more.

I might have found my HG foundation at this point. So light I can barely feel it on my skin. Keeps my extremely oily skin under control when I wear it alone. I noticed when I wear it over my It Cosmetics CC cream, I have to blot a little more, but I stil don’t seem to get too oily. Hasn’t irritated my skin. In fact, I had a horrible rash from an allergic reaction to something, and this powder not only covered it beautifully, but it has gotten better since using this makeup. I will definitely caution anyone purchasing online to see if there is a place to get a color match first, because the colors look much different than in the compact. I am very fair and bamboo is a perfect color match.

I was so disappointed by this product after reading all the rave reviews, I bought this in Shell, with is super pale with a yellow undertone. I tried it dry, wet, with primer, without primer, it is inconsistent, chalky looking, clings to dry skin and cannot be built up, and other dry products do not cling to it, for example, when I when to apply my bronzer and blush over it they just slid on it and wouldn’t apply properly.
I did try it over foundation lightly to build up the coverage of the foundation and it was ok, but it started to separate on the skin and my natural shine came through by the end of the day and looked a little cakey.

I was on a mission for the perfect mattifying, natural looking powder foundation. My combination-oily, acne-prone skin is the worst it’s ever been, but this powder seems to be reversing that!
I have given a complete 1-month trial to each of the “equivalent” (I.e.: mattifying, natural-looking) powders from Lancome, Shiseido, Clinique, Chanel, and MAC. None of them compare whatsoever to this goddess-birthing powder foundation. Chantecaille got it RIGHT.
The coverage is amazing- it covers the most obscene blemishes and discoloration without revealing itself. It literally looks like I’m not wearing makeup. It makes my skin look like my 5 year old niece’s skin. Baby soft, supple, full of light & life.
The vitamins and other healing ingredients in this makeup make my skin happy and healthy. My T-zone and chin are usually oil slicks by noon, but not when I wear this. I can last a complete 8 hour workday without having to re-apply; and even when I do oil up a bit in the evening, it doesn’t look bad! Just naturally dewy, in a non-obvious way. Even at 5pm, it still looks like I’m not wearing makeup- but that I have naturally beautiful skin (which, keep in mind, is really not the case!)
This powder is perfect to wear alone, as well as over liquid foundation. It makes me look like I walked out of a magazine- airbrushed yet natural.
I will never repurchase another powder foundation again!
*HOLY GRAIL* FOUND!

Really good quality face powder, lightweight, it does what it says: it leaves your skin beautiful, silky looking 🙂 Im not so keen on the packaging as i cant tap it on the lid and swap my brush in it , i have to use a different lid for that. Unfortunately the shade im using (shadow – which is the darkest available) is not dark enough (my skin is medium with yellow undertone) so i have to subtly apply a bronzer on top. What i like about this powder is that, even after i use my moisturizer and sun protection cream, it leaves my skin fresh looking , non greasy (unfortunately that was the case with so many powder foundations i have tried before). Totally in love!

I have very oily skin and so far this is the only foundation that doesn’t melt off my skin the first hour. It is very light weight, it doesn’t feel like I have anything on. I use cashew and it is a great match. This is the first foundation that hasn’t given me breakouts and seems to keep pimples away.

My HG powder foundation!! I’d use it everyday except it’s kinda expensive 😛 but it’s sooo nice! The powder itself is very fine, very silky, nice color match for me (shell), never chalky and doesn’t dry out my skin at all! (unlike MAC and Lancome’s powder foundation, totally dries me out). It does not make flaky skin look bad and it stays fresh through out the day. Really worth the $$$!
artisticGnu4
This is my favorite powder foundation. I have it in Peach, which looks as though it is too dark in the pan, but matches my skin really well. It has a very smooth look to it, and is not at all heavy. I like this much better than MAC StudioFix which tends to look dry and cakey/powdery on me.

PRICES ARE IN NEW ZEALAND DOLLARS.
My review is for the $3.50 powder that is in the black compact with a rose patterned on it. It comes attached to pink and black cardboard when you buy it. This review does not reflect the other powders Daiso sell with different packaging .
This is a 3.75 out of 5 if you view it as a full coverage natural-finish powder foundation, and already own setting spray, mattifying powder, and blush/bronzer. If you do not have those things then this will probably be a 1/5 for you because full coverage powder foundations look cakey and bad when used alone, and are often mistaken for being good at oil control when they aren’t.
If you read my other reviews you’ll see I’m harsh towards cheap products because I hate hate hate reviews that mark up cheap crap just because it’s cheap, because that results in people wasting money on poor quality products that are deceptively marked higher than better quality products. I love a good bargain and saving money but that just results in money being thrown away. This product is very good in terms of coverage, not just “good for the price”. But yeah, it really does depend on how you use it with other products. This will probs be a total disappointment to many.
My HG powder is the $63 Tarte Airbushed Powder Foundation in Light Sand which is full coverage and extremely yellow (I’m Chinese and have a very yellow neck/body but a neutral face, so I go for very yellow foundations to hide the mismatching tone or it never suits). The Daiso in the shade Eccru is just as full coverage, but not as warm (although it is still fairly yellow and will match most NC15 – NC20). It also doesn’t have as smooth a finish as the Tarte does – I had no issues going outside without using setting spray with the Tarte because it was such a great finely milled powder that didn’t look flat.
The Daiso comes with a small sponge that can be stored in the container and it’s okay. I apply with my Zoeva buffing brush and the powder is thick enough to drag the bristles a bit out of place, which is worrying. It also has that really strong powdery smell that cheap foundation powders have.
It does have some glitter particles in it, which are quite big. Thankfully there’s not many of them. I only end up with one or two per application. This powder photographs BEAUTIFULLY if you’re using a front facing camera in artificial lighting. I imagine it’ll look far less pleasant in natural light with a proper camera, but I can just use a different foundation for that. I have legit never ever loved the look of my skin as much in a photo as I have using this powder, it’s so healthy and radiant looking.
I’m the kind of person that doesn’t always use blush/bronzer with medium coverage foundations because I quite like the “flat” one tone look and I have high cheekbones anyway, but this powder is so full coverage that you absolutely need it. It does a phenomenal job of covering skin redness. You could use it as a concealer.
This powder is basically a less shimmery, full coverage version of Revlon Photoready powder foundations. I really didn’t like the Revlon because it was very overpriced ($40) and caked up in shimmery patches despite having poor coverage.
I have not had any issues with this settling into lines and pores, which is usually an issue I face with most liquid foundations.
I hate buying products that are mediocre, no matter how cheap they are but I will repurchase this because the coverage is nuts and I can make the product work for me because a) screw Tarte for charging $63 for a damn powder that only lasts three months and b) I already own all the things that can make this work. This won’t be my daily driver but I will use it for non-special occasions, when I’m not as tan, or if I’m planning on taking photos in artificial lighting.
I recommend this (in the shade Eccru) ONLY to people who:
Want full coverage
Already own setting spray, blush/bronzer and setting powder
Are in between NC15 and NC20
Have realistic expectations of what full coverage powders look like
Take photos in indoor lighting

I wish I didn’t love this stuff cuz it’s hella expensive. First, the coverage is out of this world beautiful if you can find the right shade. I’ve had people ask me if a professional did my make up when I wear this. It’s that gosh darn beautiful. Mind you I have very large pores and acne scarred skin — and it covers absolutely EVERYTHING!!! It’s FLAWLESS!! The only thing is first, the price – $34.00 (I think, I’m pretty sure, unless it’s gone up) – and that’s for 10 grams!!! ) 0.35 oz. That isn’t very much product. : ( You might as well go ahead and get Lancome’s Duo Finish — which I’m pretty sure has more and is one of the most beautiful powder foundations I’ve ever worn – — But, I digress !!! MUFE’s Duo Mat is beautiful, however the packaging does not allow for you to get all of the product out – so you loose what too little product you do get. (I’m really talking myself out of this now)– but it wears beautifully . It seems to keep oil at bay for awhile and sits so nicely on the skin. It goes on really quick – and your out the door (depending on how detailed you are with your eyes..) I was obsessed with it a few years ago – but since have moved on to liquid foundation since due to the ability to alter with adding luminosity and hue. I love mixing. Give this a try if you normal to combo skin —- I really think you’ll like it — but definitely go in store and get color matched!!! It’s almost impossible to get it correct otherwise. Have fun!!!

good coverage and looks good when you put it on. Looks really good in photoshoots when you can touch up with loose powder. I will keep it for my kit but will not use it for myself.
It’s too harsh if you are running around on a regular day day. clogged my pores horribly after wearing it for a full day, makes all your makeup melt off your face, and too thick for touchups.

I love Make Up Forever’s Mat Velvet liquid foundation, but for summer I like to use a powder foundation, so I gave this one a try.
I’ve used MAC Studio Fix many times and have been satisfied, but I prefer this powder foundation by MUFE. The sponge applicator helps give full coverage, and the application is smooth and even. I require very minimal touch up during the day – I do not find the coverage cakey or chalky at all. About halfway through the day, I just freshen the coverage by sweeping a powder brush over the hot spots (forehead, nose, chin). I do not need to use additional product.
This is pricey at $34, but I find that it’s worth it.
For color comparison – my MAC color is NC20, and I used the lightest ivory MUFE has.
madOtter2
It had an ok coverage but my skin gets oily after a few hours and it looks cakey when you retouch with it. it also feels kinda heavy during the day. and the biggest part that I hate is that it caused me to break out.
fondFerret3
I normally use BE loose powder foundation. But I wanted something that would travel better, and not be so messy. I have been using the MUFE on and off for about a year and a half, and I am very happy with it. I recently purchased the MAC kabuki brush to apply this powder, and I am even happier with it now. For touch-ups, I use the sponge in the compact. It covers my rosacea just as well as the BE, and has not caused any breakouts. For comparison, I am MAC NC25, and use the MUFE 101 powder.

I bought this powder last week at Sephora because I needed a powder for touch ups during the day ( my skin can get quite oily). So far I have no complaints. It’s a semi thick consistancy though, with a fuller coverage, so I don’t know how using this as a foundation on its own would work. I like the packaging too, there is a separate compartment for the sponge and it comes in a round black compact that fits in any makeup bag pretty easily. EDIT- I had to return this yesterday because it was just too thick for touch ups. I think it’s the fact that it’s too dry of a consistancy. I exchanged it for the MUFE pressed powder. $40 is just too expensive for a compact.

at first, this powder foundation gave me excellent coverage and my skin looked absolutely flawless! then about 3-4 hours later i caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror and was horrified to find that it looked like i had aged 5 years! my pores look HUGE and my skin looked dull and patchy but not oily. so i quickly reapplied and again my skin looked great! but yet again a couple hours lately my skin looked horrible =T needless to say i’ll be sticking wit chanel or shu for powder foundation.
gleefulAntelope3
Colour matched well (Fiji), medium coverage, but can look natural.
Even with silicone primer, it slid off my face after a couple hours

I loved this product. I have a yellow undertone and it was so hard for me to find a foundation powder that would stay on all day, and not dry out my skin. It was a perfect match to my skin tone, and I didn’t even have to re apply it because a lot of the other Foundation Powders I have bought would scrap off and dry my skin. This one doesn’t! The price is high but it is worth it because you get a lot of it and I just absolutely loved it. It was definitely worth the money!
grumpyStork2
so this product retails at sephora for 45$ a little pricey but definitely worth it! It hasn’t broke me out and it keeps my skin looking fresh and matte! touch ups during the day are required with this product but that’s no biggy. def a must have 🙂
lovesickBaboon4
I have this product in Petal and really like it. It applies without looking cakey or dry (and my skin is normal to dry). The only drawback is not everyone can find a good color match.
excitedMeerkat4
I got this in Cashew online. Great compact, very smooth. Decent coverage. But I don’t think any of their colors are meant for actual human beings.
grumpyMackerel5
I am absolutely in love! I won this on ebay for on $20 which included shipping. This is the very first powder foundation which matches my skin perfectly! I have an extremely complicated skintone(a mix of yellow, olive, and tan.) Most other powder foundations are either to orange, pink, brown or too peach but this one is perfect! Almost everytime I wear this someone compliments me on my beautiful skin! I am in between mac C35/C40 HHH. and I use the shade cashew. Try this if you want an exceptionally smooth, glowing and beautiful skin.
