Got this in shade #PO-10. As a powder foundation, it’s far too dark. For whatever reason, a lot of Shiseido’s various brands have powders than run a few shades darker than the corresponding cream and liquid foundations. It’s quite difficult to lighten properly – loading the enclosed sponge with white or very fair powder before swiping the product helps a little but it still looks too dark on my pale skin.
As a contour powder though, it’s fantastic – it’s densely pigmented and spreads & blends easily. It appears like natural shading, isn’t too red or too orange, and has impressive staying power. The case is sturdy with a sizeable mirror inside, great for on-the-go make-up retouching. It’s just a shame there isn’t a lighter shade, as this is supposed to be a 2-way foundation that can be applied with a dry sponge for a more natural look, or wet for higher coverage like a cream foundation. I can’t really comment on these as it really is too dark for an everyday foundation on me, as I only use it as a shading powder. But at least in that sense I get good use out of it.
