Great finishing powder that helps mattify skin and helping makeup to set well into place. I also love that it gives a blurring effect to skin making skin look flawless.
The price is right too! I love that ELF products are so affordable and this is one of my staple makeup products.

I needed a good translucent setting powder and picked this up at the drugstore one day, thinking it would tide me over until I had time and money to spend at Sephora. Well, that trip won’t be happening, because I was BLOWN AWAY by how amazing this powder is.
It glides over the skin seamlessly, setting, smoothing, and perfecting everything in its wake. Definitely HD, it gives my complexion that coveted photoshopped look. Now, it doesn’t completely eradicate oil from my skin, but with my complexion, I believe this is a true impossibility.
As was mentioned in another review, it has the power to lighten and brighten, so if you have foundation that oxidizes, this will help with that!
Unlike most loose powders, it dispenses just the right amount. It dispenses through holes in a plastic covering, so there’s a lot less mess, but the holes aren’t so small that you’re slamming the packaging against your palm trying to get the stuff out (I’ve clearly dealt with both of these qualms). I only wish it was easier to find and that it came in a bigger size, but the price point is excellent, so i’ll be stocking up the next time I see it.
I’ll finish by saying that I have acne-prone skin, but have not experienced the pore-clogging problems others seem to have had. Therefore, if you battle breakouts, I’d still at least give this a try. You may find it was definitely worth it.

E.L.F. HD Powder effect on my face is comparable in longevity to Make Up Forever High Definition Microfinish Powder. Depending on the weather, it delays my oiliness especially around my nose for 4-6 hours and stays put on the rest of my face all day. It doesn’t cause me pimples but I have noticed slightly more whiteheads on my nose. It has less content as with only 8 grams compared to Make Up Forever HD Microfinish Powder’s 8.5g but it is considerably more affordable and sturdier compared to MUF.
I hope this helps!

Edit: If you are irritation or acne-prone, I can’t recommend this. I have pores on my nose that were consistently irritated in a way that made me wonder if the effect was becoming permanent.(I have also had this issue with e.l.f. foundations–the effect seems to be almost bacterial, as if the cosmetics themselves are contaminated, somehow.) If you’re looking for a setting powder that is not irritating, try Physician’s Formula translucent powders instead.
This is a true setting powder. Regardless of the fact that it’s called translucent, it’s somewhat lightening, which is a good thing, if foundations tend to oxidize on you.
This is kind of amazing. It’s an HG powder that doesn’t cake–it just absorbs and lightens whatever foundation you have under it. I’m very allergy-prone, and this is wearable, for me. I’m also 46 and prone to rosacea, and it doesn’t seem to cause a problem. Also, e.l.f. claims no gluten ingredients, if that’s an issue.
Really quite amazing. If you can’t find a good higher-end setting powder, try this one.
