I purchased this concealer in the shade Light 02, and it covers beautifully! The little compact is only about 1 1/2 inches square, but has a mirror inside and plenty of product. I use only my fingertip to apply this under my eyes, and it blends surprisingly well, with a slight powdery feeling. It lasted until I removed my makeup at night without having to touch it up. Highly recommend!

***Lumiere closed the beginning of 2014. Small indie with great mineral makeup and brushes.

This is probably the best indie mineral foundation I’ve tried (and I think I’ve probably tried them all). It gives me the coverage and lasting power when I need a little bit more opacity.
I haven’t found that the Flawless Face is too much lighter than the Veena Velvet or Cashmere formulas.

I just want to start off by saying I’m a huge fan of Lumiere, in general and LOVE their Veena Velvet MMU. However, I wanted to try the Flawless Finish to see if it would have better coverage for my acne prone, scarred skin so I ordered a sample kit. This foundation is god awful! To me, it really doesn’t cover that much better, if any better at all than Veena Velvet does and the FF looks like a complete mask. It feels warm and heavy on my skin, even if I try to apply a tiny bit (which offers no coverage that way). To build up coverage, it looks so heavy, doesn’t apply evenly, and just exacerbates oily skin to no avail. Granted, it does say it’s best suited for “normal to dry” skin types, so I can’t complain too much about the fact that it doesn’t do anything to balance out oily skin, but wow. I was oily in like 5 minutes flat with this stuff on! Normally, it takes about 4 hours for oil breakthrough.
Cannot recommend this product. Also, the shades are A LOT lighter than the Veena Velvet. I’m ghost pale, MAC NC 15, so I use Fair Warm in VV and the Fair Warm in FF makes me look dead. The Fair Neutral in FF literally looks like halloween makeup on me. It was terrifying. I can’t even buy drug store makeup because there isn’t a shade pale enough for my skin tone and somehow Lumiere’s FF comes in shades TOO light for me! That’s almost unheard of, lol. Idk who’s buying those shades.
I’m glad this stuff works for some people, but I really feel that Lumiere can do better than this.

I used Flawless Face in Medium Deep Golden. It was a little bit too yellow but otherwise a good match once blended. I also tried the Beige foundation colour, but it looked gray on my skin. The coverage was great and I was really happy with how it looked, BUT I came home 4 hours later and my face was REALLY OILY. I’ve never been that oily ever. I am going to try the Cashmere formula next, in Medium Deep Warm.

This foundation gives more coverage than the Luminesse or Cashmere, I’m still looking for a matching shade.

UPDATE 10/28/11: I’ve been using the veena velvet finish of this brand lately as my retin-a usage has helped my skin tone a lot and I don’t need as much coverage. Still usualy have this on hand though, it’s great.
I’ve been using this brand for over five years now. I originally found it under the name “must have minerals” on ebay. After my first jar I was hooked. Light golden or light medium golden is perfect for my usually pale, yellow-under-toned skin. I’ve ordered samples in various shades as x-mas gifts in the past and gotten several of my friends and family hooked on this too. It is very buildable, is a natural sunblock, is actually GOOD for skin, and it looks great, better than any liquid foundation I’ve ever used. I don’t know what I would do if they ever went out of business.

PROS:
This mmu gives me the best finish of all that I have tried (Bare Minerals, Sephora and a few no names). It does have a creamy-like texture to it and it really does even out the surface of my skin, giving a flawless type look. I don;t know what my MAC skin tone is, but have found that Medium Warm Beige seems to be the best match and is what I have on in the pic that I posted for this review.
CONS:
I hate loose powders because it can be sooo messy!

I ordered many colors in an attempt to find the correct color. I’m not sure that I was ever successful at this because this foundation appears very powdery and dull on my complexion. I wanted to love it like many have but it wasn’t to be. I also found that it caused little bumps after 5 days or more of constant wear. It did this consistently.

After switching from liquid to powder foundation I found Lumiere.. I have been using their Flawless Finish powder for over a year now. For the better part of the year the powder really was great, no breakouts and actually made my skin look better.
In the past 4-5 months it has been leaving my skin red and itchy…I break out like I did before switching to powder. I am not sure if the formula has been tweaked or what (I noticed the price dropped considerably and packaging changed to cheap vials not the nice containers used previously), but this WAS my fav foundation for a while and now its garbage.
I am currently looking for something new :/ I would look elsewhere if you’re looking for an alternative to liquid.

This mineral foundation formula made my face break out with red and itching patches. So of course, i hate it 🙁
