been using this product for 5 years, one of the rarest face powder as only 50 pcs is produced daily since they said its hard to make, there is only 1 shop in Japan to sells this and the rest are via official website of eshiko. Its really my holy grail powder, it lasts for about a year for me even with everyday use as you only need very tiny amount of this powder to create a good effect, your skin glows and you will really look radiant applying this powder.
the only downside i can see is the maker’s limitation in producing and shipping this one, this powder is very hard to find and they dont sell in amazon, only from their website. thats why i hoard this powder, i always have 2 or 3 per order.

I noticed the reviews here are extreme.. either perfect or zero so I supposed that this powder works for certain skin types?
well first, my face is oily and this product works wonder by controlling oil for the entire day. I also noticed a severe decrease in breakouts and blemishes after I started using this product. This is indeed the best translucent powder I have tried as its very compatible with my skin type.
What I don’t like is its a bit expensive and can be ordered only online, but its worth it I don’t think I will find any other powder that suits me like Eshiko does.
I did some testing with my boyfriend who has an extremely dry skin, you should put moisturizer first before applying eshiko or you can apply eshiko and then mist-spray with evian or other sprayable moisturizer – the effect is MAGIC!

price is a bit higher than usual and packaging was very plain and normal, however, upon using it seems this is the best powder I tried so far, so good that i immediately purchased 2 to have an advance stock. The powder makes my face less oily that I need not touch up my makeup all day. Makeup actually looks better as time goes by for some unknown reason, perhaps powder is completely settled on the skin.
im not sure if this will work for people with dry skin though, no idea but its worth a try. however, if your skin is very oily or oily, this is the best. another downside, arrival takes about 2 weeks so you really have to wait for that time.

Finally received this in the mail and it was in a clear lined brown envelope inside a plastic envelope. no bubble wrap, nothing to protect it and it was crushed beyond any chance of salvaging even a little of it. White powder was everywhere and my mail carrier about flipped out. They’re telling me they’ve NEVER EVER had a package broken and that I broke it. I AM FURIOUS!!! If my carrier wasn’t a local and knew me, I’d bet money police would have been called since this stuff is like smoke dust! The mail carriers comment was “I hope this isn’t anthrax!” DEAR Lord! I will NEVER do business with ESHIKO again. I’m still trying to get my money back and have to get a letter from my carrier stating it was busted when I received it.
this has really topped off an already irritating incident.

this powder has no category of its own, the nearest will be smashbox translucent powder and mufe hd powder… but its still different. specially in texture, this one is like smokey, with very small particles and it really makes a smoke when you use it which i really dont like… so a little will be better dont use too much.
the powder is good, its one of a kind and have no powder nearly as good as eshiko… but there is a big problem, its expensive and you cannot buy it anywhere! period…
if you are new to eshiko and havent use it yet, i suggest settle down with ordinary powder you get from drug store because once you use this, you will like it and its frustrating because nobody is selling this except a few online store.
package is pretty similar to smashbox, this one is just large and heavier.. price is fine since this powder will last for 6 months atleast or even a year if you dont use it too much.
I would buy it again IF i have a chance to find one, else i have to wait 15 to 20 days and order this from Japan and the waiting period is insane im not use to it.

this powder is quite unique in terms of oil control and its ability to make your skin looks finer, smoother and the pores smaller. This is the best when it comes to translucent powder, better than all translucent powder I tried..
downside is supply ability, you cannot buy this anywhere and only few stores carry it. The powder flies all over since its smoke-like so I have to use this carefully.
what i do was to get a smaller container and put small amount of powder there to avoid bringing the larger, original container.
overall, this powder is great.. will not cause flashback and perfect for all skin type and tone. I suggest buying 2 or 3 to ensure you always have it, stores are always out of stock on this powder its pretty rare.

This powder is great, almost similar to MUFE HD powder but it has a better effect when it comes to skin tone, color and complexion. Also it does not give white flashback on camera and no matter how much you put it on your face it does not give a whitish finish so its a true translucent powder.
PROS
– Great effect specially on pictures and camera.
– does not give white flashback on camera.
– best powder to set your makeup. You dont need to use this frequently since it lasts so long.
– good for oily skin, you wont notice oil for 8 hours.
– good also if you use it in the gym, perspiration makes this powder look even amazing i dont why.
– oil also make this powder looks good… i also dont know why, its gives you that dewey-porcelain look like korean/japanese celebrities.
-make pores invisible
CONS
-expensive
-typical japanese presentation, ugly packaging
-powder flies away easily… they are so small some will fly away when you open it
-requires good brush to get the best effect
-difficult customer support, they are native japanese they use template/translated english to answer your query… very hard to understand.
-ships 2 to 3 weeks.. no US distributor, will come from Japan.

Just wanted to say I’m with the people who also got ignored and banned from the Eshiko FB. I sent the item back to them at my own expense of course, and they refused to reply me. The phone number on their website also does not work. I still have not gotten my money back. If they didn’t want to refund people, that’s their call, but it’s bad business to advertise the 100 day money back guarantee so blatantly and not keep to your word.

*** There are many negative reviews on here and I believe this is due to the price not being worth it for a minimal effect on already good skin and also bad customer service experiences, HOWEVER if you like ME have a difficult skin type and have never found a decent powder before this will absolutely be worth it for you. In terms of cost and service, well I did not get mine from Eshiko’s site, I got mine from gurumakeupemporium.com for £22.95 (I live in the UK so delivery costs were average, but they do ship worldwide).
I have very dry (often flaky)/ very oily combination skin. This powder is by far the least clingy I have ever tried (and I’ve tried a lot), it does not highlight dry areas and yet does not leave skin looking dull. The oil control literally lasts all day long if applied with a velour puff, and with a dusting via a brush the oil control lasts 6 hours (the longest oil control I’ve been able to get out of other powders with a velour puff). A little goes a long way, diffusing my large pores and on bare skin giving the blurring coverage of a tinted moisturizer.
I have very fair skin and this leaves no tint but I believe this could lighten dark skin if used as much as needed on oily areas for long lasting results, so mixing it with a small amount of powder of your own shade or with a yellow powder would counteract this potential effect.
Overall pro’s:
-Great price when bought from gurumakeupemporium.com
-All day oil control if used with a velour puff
-6 hour oil control if used with a brush
-Matte but not flat!
-If you have not yet found a powder that works well on your difficult skin this will wow you
-Does not dry out my dry areas
-Hardly ever highlights flakyness, the least clingy powder ever
-Truly translucent
-Blurs pores
-Used alone it gives a coverage effect on a level with tinted moisturizers
-Very difficult to accidentally ‘over powder’ and if you somehow manage to its easily brushed off to remove the ghost look
-Does not break me out
-No irritants/ perfumes
-Looks ace in photographs, no flashback craziness at all
Overall con’s:
-Pot it comes with is too small to house a velour puff of any size (I decanted my powder into an old pot that is big enough to house a large velour puff).
-You get 10g less than most powders for the same price, but the last 20g powder i owned I couldn’t even finish, so this will last for ages.
-Deep skin shades that are oily, and therefore need a good layer of powder, may need to mix with a bit of yellow powder or a shade matching their own to prevent ashyness

Am amazed this hasn’t had thousands of rave reviews:
HD powder is HG: This HD face powder is far better than any other. and does everything and more than one could want from an HD face powder. My skin is almost transformed into that clear, soft skin of ten years ago, really. Makeup is usually ageing to the look of skin texture, this is the reverse.
Best for: setting powder, removing shine but keeping skin looking soft, young and real. Adding a radiance to the skin. People with acne as this powder sucks up oils. People with dry skin, it is non drying and does not feel one whit dry on the skin.
My skin: dead pale, very dry, some lines, uneven tones, not a pretty sight.
Powder is Translucent: it truly is, it is invisible on the skin – really invisible. Men, nuns and school girls could wear this and no-one would have a hint of suspicion. It looks white in the tub, despite this it is really so fine it is colourless on the skin and would suit any skin tone I suspect.
Texture of Powder: Silky, ultra fine, the finest I’ve ever felt or seen and I’ve used the ‘best.’
Coverage: None and yet dark shadows around my eyes and marks and spider veins etc seem diminished, less noticeable with this powder.
Use: smooth over face with brush.
Result: Stunned – my pallid, uneven toned, dead looking skin with the odd spider vein, looks glowing with the luminosity of a pearl – but no shine. Nor does it look dead matt, and I mean that deathly unpleasant matt that I find dusty and decrepit looking, rather it is the matt of youthful skin straight after rinsing and towelling dry. My skin looks even toned and beautiful and unmade up. Lines are not erased but are not made more prominent like nearly all makeup does. Ruddy hell, that’s no small miracle.
Duration between applications? Despite sahara dry skin, my nose still manages to look like an oil slick, but six hours after application I don’t need to retouch. Usually, with Becca etc etc I need to retouch every two hours.
NB: I live in the UK, it’s spring and 15 degrees celsius, so I expect to have to retouch more often when the weather heats up.
Packaging: Dreadful – merely because they put a paper sticker inside the pot to stop the powder being released before sale. However I tried I couldn’t remove this sticker, and in the end managed to tear a tiny bit off one edge so revealing a few holes in the canister holding the powder, which allows me to get plenty out. They really should use a less powerful gum to hold this sticker in place.
Flashback: There are no flashback problems whatsoever when wearing this powder when one is going to be photographed.
Face powders I’ve used before : Becca pressed powder, Laura Mericer HD, Rimmel, YSL, Chanel, Johnsons Cornstarch Baby Powder.
Will I buy again? I’m giving a rave review because I’m amazed and would like others to benefit too. I’d buy a vat of it if I could. But I do think it’s stupidly expensive for the amount one gets, 10mg, or half a plastic tub, but am assured this will last six months, we’ll see, I have doubts and will report back. I would say if you’re hesitating try this powder, if a natural finish of your powder matters to you.
PS: Four years later and I am using another power now because of the expense of this one. I’ve switched to NYX high definition studio powder. This NYX is similar in many ways but a touch more drying and doesn’t provide the long lasting mattification of this powder. However the NYX does work well at very little cost, about £9 in the U.K. Am thinking of reverting to a long lost love, Prescriptives (Liquid) Magic Powder, it really is magical, mattifying, moisturising (I think), cooling and gives a beautiful subtle lustre.
