This is a very, very effective mattifying powder. It’s slightly pink and tan in the pan, so it’s not entirely translucent. I wear this on my unbelievably pale, oily, forty-something rosacean skin that has enlarged pores and it looks pretty good.
I first tried this just by itself–it’s too orange and too actually translucent to work as a powder foundation by itself. However, if you have trouble with allergies and mica and gluten and kaolin, this is a really good powder. My hyper-allergic eyes aren’t bothered by it, at all. It has no gluten ingredients
I wear this over a much paler foundation primer combination, Ulta Double Duty in Classic Porcelain. Just using this as a touch-up powder on my t-zone my face looks matte and very close to the pale color of my original foundation. This is a very good touch up powder, when just used as a touch up powder. It doesn’t cake, crease or flake, and it won’t cause breakouts.
