I turned to Dreamworld after I didn’t really have any luck finding a shade in Meow Cosmetics. I was able to find a shade that matched me perfectly (Amenti, depth 3, Cloud formula). The packaging is a nice rotating sifter and the price is reasonable for the amount of product.
Despite this being a wonderful foundation, I took off a lippie because (to me) this foundation is high maintenance. Two important things to note are that I have oily skin and that the foundation is largely made out of kaolin clay – great for your skin and makes the product very creamy – however, this makes it more finicky to apply. It can apply cakey, patchy, and streaky if treated like other mineral foundations. With Meow, you can just dab it on with a kabuki and be done. Dreamworld foundation turns into a cream-like texture on contact with skin. If you try to buff it in with a dense buffing brush, it melts and will not blend. I’ve found that the best way to apply this is over powder primer (not a tacky liquid) and with a wispy brush (I use Real Techniques stippling) to gently build up the coverage.
The wear time is good but like with most powder foundations, it is not transfer resistant. With patience, this foundation can look beautiful. I do not know if this is the same case as with the other formulas available.
