Nothing special. I had such high hopes for this polish – I was expecting squishy, glossy goodness but instead I got – a dupe of Bubble Bath. I loooove Bubble Bath and thought this would be somehow different – glassier, glossier, more transparent, pinker even?…it’s almost exactly the same. Maybe a tad sheerer, but with 3-4 coats, I don’t see a huge difference. If you have BB, you don’t need this. Wish I’d tried another in the Ballet collection…

You Callin’ Me A Lyre? is from OPI New York City Ballet 2012 Collection. This one is a soft shade collection and it has a total of 6. This color is a soft milky pink with a hint of peach. The formula is creme, jelly-like finish and it’s semi-sheer. I applied 2 coats and can still see my nail bed. I mean, it will only look perfect if you have beautiful smooth nail bed. Mine is a bit bumpy and all the flaws show. Even the top of my nails it look quite yellow as the formula is quite sheer. I think a good three coat should hide the flaws but not on bumpy nails.
Application is very easy and quick to dry. Normally, it’s harder to apply soft shade polish as it shows flaws a lot easier. The color is a good one to go to work or any occasion. Wedding I am not quite sure if the bride doesn’t have perfect nail bed, it will probably show all the flaws. I like the color but don’t think I will reach it often. So, I don’t think I will buy this again.
