This is my first polish by Whim. I don’t know a lot about the brand, apart from the fact that their polishes are 5 free (free of DBP, Toluene, Formaldehyde, Camphor and Formaldehyde Resin) and I believe it is sold exclusively at Ulta (US).
Midnight Wink is a glitter polish; blue and bronze glitter set in a navy jelly base. When I saw this polish for the first time I thought of mermaids.
I was worried that the base was too shear for this polish to be used alone, so I used 1 coat of Ciate Power Dressing, followed by 2 coats of Midnight Wink. I love the look. I must admit that on the 2nd day I had several small chips on my nails, but bearing in mind I used different polish as a base, I am not sure Whim. was to blame. Also I find glitter polishes are a nightmare to remove, but again it applies to all glitter polishes and not just this one. I would advise you use scrubbing tub with bristles to remove this polish, as it makes it much easier.
Whim. bottles come with a removable cap to make it easier to grip, but the square outer cap has the non-slip feel to it too, so if you don’t find the shape too awkward you can use it as it is.
I liked this polish very much and wouldn’t hesitate to repurchase it.
