A professor had on a similar color. I inquired about it only to find out hers was Revlon from many years back. So it was discontinued. I went and found the closest color available. I love this. It’s turquoise with a pearl finish. Super pretty

I think this is a very pretty color and could fit very well in to a spring or summery vibe when there is a top coat on it to make it shiny. However I do not prefer it’s matte finish or its psuedo one – it doesn’t fit the color at all and makes it look rather plasticated.
Another ding to this particular polish is it’s formula, at first it was very smooth and streakless in application. But now after storing it in my cabinet (out of the sun) it become rather goopy and thick making it difficult to apply.
Also the brush is rather dinky which is a disappointment – I was hoping for a broader brush to evenly apply this product. Oh well.
The color is still cute.

got this as a christmas gift from my sister, its a Beautiful colour, but I really dont like the formula.I don’t think ill have to repurchase because i wont use it enough to finish the bottle.

Pretty turquiose-y blue, very flattering! 2-3 coats for bottle colour. Definitely use a topcoat!

ALL NEON’S DRY MATTE – if they aren’t they aren’t a neon. I don’t understand why this bothers people – you should ALWAYS be wearing a top-coat anyway which makes TBT SUPER glossy and a lovely turquoise colour with a bit of shimmer. Application took 3 coats for me – bang on average. Great product

First of all, I have to say that I don’t understand why a lot of reviewers are either surprised or unhappy that this polish dries matte.
**All neons dry matte!!**
With that being said, this really is a great addition to my nail polish collection! China Glaze is always my go-to brand for unique colors and Towel Boy Toy did not let me down!
I’m a huge fan of China Glaze neons, (non poolside collection ‘Purple Panic’ is my ALL TIME FAVE!) and will continue to be. It’s hard to find a vibrant blue that doesn’t look like something you’ve seen a million times, let alone a ‘neon’ blue. Absolutely love it!
Some may be unhappy with the number of coats that are needed – usually 3, but I’m used to that with most polishes so it doesn’t really bother me. I’ve received many compliments for this polish the past couple of month. I think I’m going to take the advice of another reviewer and resurface this shade come winter time. (bright blue against winter white…gorgeous!)

This is a beautiful colour, without a doubt. It’s a lovely turquoise, with nice shimmer – when you put a top coat on! I was surprised with the formula. It took 3-4 coats (I honestly don’t remember) to show up like the bottle colour and it was definitely matte which I was not expecting. I might need to buy a super glossy top coat because even Seche Vite leaves it slightly duller than my other polishes. I knocked a lippie off for that and the application issues. It is a beautiful colour though, and I would repurchase.

i love this blue! its so bright and perfect! sadly it went missing, so i got another one 🙂 it is a bit on the thin side needs 3+ coats to be completely opaque (over a white polish only need 2)

Towel Boy Toy is one of the two (along with Sun Worshiper) that I own from the Pool Side collection. Originally I wanted each one from their collection, but they all looked so bright upon seeing them in real life. Towel Boy Toy really stood out to me, so that was the first I bought from its collection. I also bought Caribbean Blue at the same, so from comparing those two, Towel Boy Toy lost. I compared it by swatching one nail, & TBT was a bit streaky at one coat. After a few months, I’m currently wearing the polish & I really do like it now! I would not buy this color again because I think the bottle I have can last me a pretty long time.

Unlike the other shades in the Poolside Collection, this polish isn’t so neon and has a nice, slight shimmer to it. I love love love this color! It applies like a dream and only takes a few coats for the color to look true to the bottle. I noticed it dried matte, but after a while of wear it became shinier so there was no need for a clear coat over top. I have mixed feelings about China Glaze, but I definitely like this one and it is probably my favourite because of how nicely it applies, dries and finishes. It also gets a lot of compliments!
