This is Not Whine Country is from California Dreaming Collection 2017. It’s a dark pink, crelly polish.
Due to crelly formula it needs an extra coat – I used 3 coats. I found it easy to apply and it wears really well too.
All in all, maybe not the most memorable, but it’s a pretty polish. I enjoyed wearing it. Just be prepared for an extra coat if you don’t like to see visible nail line (VNL).

This Is Not Whine Country is not at all a wine shade. It is more a raspberry red shade, very pretty and flattering on many skintones. It has a great formula. It has a jelly finish – this means that it is not meant to look fully opaque, but will have some visible nail line with a super shiny and ‘squishy’ finish – like jelly. If visible nail line is a peeve for you, you may wish to pick up a creme polish rather than this one. However, I love jellies and this one certainly is a nice one. Two coats is all you need for full depth of the colour, and it applies easily without streaking or bald patches. It dries quickly and the finish is incredibly shiny. It wore well, lasting for around 4 days when paired with base and top coat. It is a nice pop of colour which is still appropriate for a work environment. I love this one, I only have a mini but will definitely be hunting down a full size bottle.

This is definitely a 3-coat polish and then it didn’t really look even on big toes for a pedicure. It’s more blue-red than winey-red to me. The finish is nice and shiny. It could be a cheerful deep-bright color for summer. Noticed that even thought there were 3 coats of polish, it removed and cleaned up well. I bought it as part of a mini-pack and am now ready to move on, so the investment wasn’t huge.

Raspberry (or blue toned berry-red) jelly, or maybe it’s more of a crelly. It’s pretty, but doesn’t have much pop for a summer collection, so if you want something that is kinda squishy, and not too bright, this may be for you. I’ve worn it for a few days now, updated my initial review, because it’s grown on me. I guess I had some expectations of seeing more squishiness and more berry color. It leans more red on me then I’d prefer, especially indoors, but I see the berry tone outdoors.
Here’s the comps of the closest ones I have (under a skylight):
It’s not as dark as Miami Beet; it seems closest to Koala Bear-y, but it’s darker and has a lot more red than Koala Bear-y. If you have ridges or imperfections in your nails, you may still see them with this polish, even with 3 coats. Between all 4, I prefer Koala Bear-y for a berry pop of color.
