Beautiful creamy bright peachy colour, perfect for spring and summer. Unfortunately the application is bit streaky.

Stones n Roses is from Essie Resort Collection 2015. It’s a light coral, cream polish.
If you like to wear colours, but nothing too bright, this polish fits the bill perfectly. It’s subtle, but pretty.
The formula is not the best, but not too bad. I used 2 coats, which would have given me perfect coverage, was it not for my ridges. Next time I will be applying 3 thin coats. Even so, there is nothing that would stop me buying this polish again.

I personally did not like this color or formula.
Maybe my bottle had been sitting at the store for awhile, but the first layer went on streaky, the second layer went on goopy, and I had to do a third layer just to try to get an even finish.
Secondly, the color dries different than what is shown on the bottle. I wanted a soft peach-pink, and this ended up looking like a neon coral on my nails. I did get a compliment at work, but it wasn’t what I was looking for when I purchased and I probably will return since the formula made it difficult to work with.

HOLY GRAIL color. One of Essie’s most beautiful.
I hope this stays in the line. So many of the shades seem to be limited edition. Essie Cute As a Button has been my go-to coral for three years and seems to be a regular, easy to find. For a good rose, I was fond of Your Hut or Mine, which must have been a limited edition color. Stones N Roses is their prettiest pink to date, a bit rose, a bit coral, a bit peach, a well-balanced shade that is not too loud, but reminiscent of bright Spring blooms.
I like the texture, opaque with a lot of pigment rather than the bridal sheers. Stones N Roses goes on easily and two coats really lock in the color. I was fond of Essie Love Every Minute but it’s not thick enough (not really sheer but a bit too thin). Because of the balance of tones in Stones N Roses, it is extremely wearable. I took my own bottle in to the manicurist because they didn’t have this color and she loved it, too. She ordered a bottle for the shop.
Stones N Roses looks right with everything. It’s the perfect balance of pink, peach, and coral. It’s delicate, it’s Spring-y, it’s warm, it’s blushing. Goes on creamy and doesn’t even need a top coat for shine. I just top it off to protect it from chipping. Gorgeous.

Saw the reviews on this and thought it’s a great color and much cheaper than its near-dupes like Butter London Trout Pout. It’s exactly as I thought it would be, a midway between true peach and rose pink, fairly opaque cream polish.
I love it with a high shine top coat (currently using Orly Glosser). My mani lasted nearly 20 days, with cooking and typing nearly every day. I did get a couple of chips (due to working with my hands and also I think due to my sloppy application on a couple of nails); I had next to no tip wear, however. The color looked right on my hands, the right balance of warm and cool tints (I am NW15 by MAC’s reckoning; Porcelain by Laura Mercier’s).
The application was pretty good. I sometimes get a little impatient applying opaque creams (I’m much better with jellies and sheers), so I won’t ding it on this score. I will say it was slightly more tricky for me to apply than my Essie sheer color Made to Honor or my Chanel sheer, Frisson.
I clicked I’d buy again (I almost never rebuy a polish). I can see buying this color or a close cousin from Essie in the future.

This polish is from the 2015 resort collection. It caught my eye right off the bat because:
1. it looked like almost a salmon colored pink, which i don’t have.. and..
2. i loved the name because i’m a huge Rolling Stones fan! 😉
When i finally found it at Ulta, i was super quick to snatch it up! I couldn’t WAIT to get it on my nails, and this polish did not disappoint!
First off, i’ll say i have no dupes in my collection. It kinda reminded me of Tart Deco, but this one is much more pink toned and slightly more muted.
Resort Fling is much more orange toned and the formula is quite a bit more sheer.
Stones n Roses is a perfect spring color- a very orange leaning light pink with a bit of a punch, but nothing like a neon or a neon pastel. the formula is just a hair on the runny side, but it is nicely opaque in two coats.. maybe 3 on certain fingers.
It levels very well for a lighter color and the wear time was excellent on me!
bottom line: this polish will go down as one of my all-time favorites EVER!!!
There is something very unique about the color. It looks good on pale skin and i’m sure it will look even better with a tan. it is feminine and fun/punchy at the same time.
I think it screams ‘spring’ and will wear well throughout summer because of the warmth behind it. This is one of those colors i could take off and put right back on.
