Hide & Go Chic is a dusty blue, cream polish.
The formula is pretty good. It is highly pigmented, so you will get perfect opacity in 2 thin coats. But the formula is a little thin, making it easy to flood cuticles if you are not careful. I was worried that it would stain my nail, but it didn’t.
Essie polishes have 2 different brush sizes (I think I have read somewhere that thinner brushes are produced in the US and wider one in Europe, but it could be other way around). My bottle has a thin brush, but I prefer their wider brushes, as I have wide nail beds.
I think this polish is nice enough, I just don’t like it on me. I wouldn’t discourage anyone getting it if that’s the colour you are looking for. OPI has their version of this colour in Suzi Says Feng Shui.

When the collection came out, i purchased the nudes, the pink and the green and thought the blues looked boring and something that i wouldn’t like. Then they ended up on clearance and the ocd person within me decided that at that price i may as well round out the collection. But Hide and Go Chic sat in my drawer unused in 2014 and 2015 because i had other ‘prettier’ colours to use. Boy was I wrong. This is beautiful.
Its a gorgeous dusty blue teal, it is perfect for those early spring days when winter is still hanging on. Its a beautiful muted blue/teal and I need to wear this more often.
Not only is the colour gorgeous, but the formula is great. Mine came with the lovely thick brush that the newer Essies (ie the non US essies) so it does the nails in three clean sweeps, and the formula was lovely, opaque in two coats, this beautiful creamy consistency. A lot of love for this polish.

This such a beautiful, unique colour. I’ve been looking for the perfect mid to dark teal/turquoise for ages and this was on sale at £2! I would happily pay full price for another bottle when I run out, even though the £7.99 RRP is more than I would usually want to pay for a nail polish. As with other Essie polishes it’s long lasting and looks amazing after 3 thin coats.

This is a azure blue and very gorgeous. The formula is typical Essie and this particular polish is almost a one-coater. Two coats is best and looks completely opaque.
The color is intense and reminds me of a summer sky with no clouds. Its very vibrant and I do not see any other polishes that are dupes. Some are close, but this is definitely different. Very much a summer color and reminds me of beaches, islands, and ocean.
Again, I have over 200 hundred polishes from almost every brand, and in particular blues, and I haven’t had anything that looks quiet like this. I haven’t been able to dupe it. It’s pretty unique.
