After reading the other reviews I decided to wait a bit before doing my review to see whether Sarah chipped on me right away as so many others reported. I am happy to say that I am moving toward day two without any difficulties including chipping.
I have showered, done some light dishes w/gloves on and did some shopping with no chipping or cracking of the polish. As such I have given Sarah 5 lippies.
Sarah is a beautiful Ruby red color loaded with red and pink shimmer depending on the lighting. It reminds me a lot of ChG Ruby Pumps. I would say that this is more of a blue undertone color than an orange or yellow as it looks quite nice with my pale pinkish colored skin. However, Sarah would probably be suitable for many different skin tones.
As with 99% of the Zoya polishes I have used, the formula is superb. It applied smoothly and evenly. The texture was great without being too thick or too thin. One coat was almost opquae but you really need to coats to avoid VNL.
I used WnW Mega Last base coat and SH Insta-Dri top coat. Both work perfectly with Zoya polishes as I have used them many times with this brand. I mentioned this only because I know that some have reported that not all top coats work with Zoya.
This come packaged in the standard nail polish bottle with the standard brush. Not unique but it definitely works well.
Zoya runs about $10 per bottle and IMO it is well worth the cost, but fortunately I was able to purchase Sarah on FB at a fraction of the cost. I would repurchase this polish should the situation ever arise that I ran out or lost the bottle.
I will update in a couple of days as to the wear.
UPDATE: I got normal wear from this polish. No major problems with chipping.

I love painting my nails and I was excited to try Zoya since I knew it was a good brand. Sarah was the first polish I have ever bought of the Zoya variety, and I really hope the other colors are not as terrible as this one.
The color itself is really nice. The shimmery red is on point, and I loved it. It looks even better on with a nice top coat to bring out the shimmer.
The problem is, within a couple hours my nails have chips in them. After doing nothing aggressive with my hands. I’ve given the color multiple chances too because I like it, but there is nothing I can do to keep this color from chipping. Not a small chip or wear either. Like by the next day my nails are destroyed.
Maybe it’s the sparkle that makes the consistency weak or something, I don’t know. All I know is that while I may try Zoya again, there is no way I will by Sarah ever again. I probably won’t dabble in the glitters either. I would expect bad quality from a cheap department store polish, but I have some cheap/average priced nail polishes that are way better than Sarah. For around $8 at Ulta, I was expecting something really good. Do not bother with this! The price is not consistency with the quality by any means.

What a beautiful colour! 5-free, so healthier than some other polish brands. I have no issues with application or wear. The consistency is pretty normal, I had no bubble or other issues, and wear is average or just under average for me. Two coats are needed, with three on a few for photography purposes to ensure a perfect application. The moment I first started applying it, I was moved by it’s beauty. It has lovely shimmers and a pink deep undertone. It’s a flattering red for cool-neutral skin-tones. On my first application I regretted it was going to be only an accent nail, but that was quickly remedied with a later all-Sarah mani. Removal isn’t nearly as bad as some reds – it was very easy to do clean-up as the polish to be removed was mainly glitter, not bleeding red pigment. This can be worn with or without topcoat; though I choose to use it for improved wear and a little more sparkle.

This nail polish is a beautiful subtly sparkly warm ruby red (with a bit of a duo chrome?) that’s perfect for the Christmas time. It goes on smoothly in two coats and I like to add a glittery gold accent nail to pair with this.
Unfortunately the polish doesn’t last very long on the nails even with a top coat. I think it chipped on me the next day. 🙁
I will not be repurchasing this item…but I am hoping to find a dupe since I do love the color and finish.

Ok, I admit it I mainly bought this nail polish because it was my own name! Luckily the bonus is that the color and formula is really nice! It’s a nice metallic red that has some pink tones to it. It goes on really well and in two coats it is completely opaque.
The color reminds me a lot of China Glaze’s Ruby Pumps. The only con would have to be that it is hard to take off since it has shimmer. Overall it is definitely worth a try if you’re into reds!

I have a very personal reason for liking the name of this polish, not to mention that my favorite color is red. It is absolutely beautiful, shimmery with micro glitter, a beautiful deep real red. LOVE. 😉 I bought two bottles and I am glad of it. The formula is great and the polish applies evenly and is perfect with 2 coats. Just gorgeous. Wearing it on my toes right now. Lovely for any time of year, especially if red toes are your thing.

This is a beautiful red polish. It appears to be a brighter red in the jar but translates to a deeper, almost retro red on the nails. It’s a very versatile color that can be worn on all occasions. The microsparkles are AMAZING in the jar but don’t really show up once applied. there’s still a shimmer but not as intense as one would think.
I was very disappointed to see how watery the formula is. It’s quite runny and tricky to paint on. It’s opaque in two coats and the drying time is good.
Here’s the thing; it started PEELING in less than 24 hours. I didn’t do ANYTHING. It just doesn’t adhere to nails. I woke up and noticed the polish on my thumb starting to peel off. It only worsened from there. With normal daily hand use and…walking around, more of my nails started to simply peel away.
I’d expect this kind of worthlessness from a drugstore polish, not from something I paid $8 for. It labels itself as “professional,” must be a joke.
I paint my nails on a regular basis and don’t have problems with polishes sticking to me. Not all of them are winners but this is just pathetic.
Unless you only plan to wear this for an hour or two, DO NOT BUY. You’d have better luck with OPI, CG and Orly.

Finding a sheer, “you but better” lip color has always been a huge challenge for me. My natural pigment is dark pink enough that it messes with most lip color and glosses, but not dark enough that it looks good or has enough contrast with my olive skin by itself. The combination of my lip color with product usually isn’t good. Clinique black honey is one of the few sheer colors that looks good on me. And I wasn’t so comfortable with a non-natural ingredient lip gloss for daily use. But I think I’ve found my new HG in Jane Iredale Sarah. It’s bronzy-pink, when blended with my own color, is perfect! I mean, really perfect. I have the plumping version lip color in the slim tube. Too soon to tell if there’s any plumping happening, but I don’t really care, because I use Mychelle lip plumping treatment in piña colada which is my HG for that. I’m really happy Jane Iredale was able to formulate such a high quality, natural ingredient product. I hope they never discontinue it!!

UPDATE: I ended up finding a better lippie for me, one that skewed a bit more pink. The orangey undertones on this were getting to be a bit too much for me. That said though, my friend who is an NC20, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE’S THIS lippie. It is the first one she has actually finished a tube up in forever. So if you are an NC, try this!
ORIGINAL POST: Uh…yeah…actually ditto to what MollieRT said…she nailed it exactly. I am NW20 black/brown hair, brown eyes and this shade works. It is great for fall.

I was surprised that this metallic bronzy pink color would look so nice with my cool very fair skin with pink undertones. The lasting power was great (only had to reapply twice in 8 hours) and the minty taste was a nice addition. My sensitive lips didn’t feel dry or irritated at all (a lot of lipsticks and balms make the corners of my mouth sore). I’ll definately experiment with Jane Iredale’s other shades (my mother uses Clara but it doesn’t show up at all on my very deeply pigmented lips)…
