Zoya’s Rea is a sparkly foil medium pinked-purple-mauve polish. The finish is a very metallic foil but does not show brush strokes. (The finish is exactly the same as Zoya’s Tess.) What you see in the bottle is exactly the color that ends up on your nails. I was able to get total opacity and bottle color in two coats. Drying time was very quick at about 4 minutes between coats and rock hard with Seche Vite in 20 minutes. Because of the foil finish, without a topcoat it does dry a little bit dull. The only downside to this color (and the reason that I won’t be buying it again), is that it has, on me, a slightly greyed-taupe effect around the edges that is visible only in certain lighting and at certain angles. It took me a while to figure out why it looked that way, but after checking Zoya’s website, they describe this color as a “silvery-taupe-kissed mauve-purple.” So that explains it – very slight taupe undertones. After reading their description and stepping out into sunlight, at certain angles you can see the taupe undertones. Overall, I like the basic color, but the taupiness around the edges tends to give my cuticles that “lobster hand” effect. Therefore, I might wear this again occasionally but wouldn’t buy another.

LOVE! I borrowed this off my sister, but don’t think she will be getting this bottle of polish back soon!! ‘Rea’ is a plum metallic shade with a foil finish. Only two coats is needed to get the EXACT same colour seen in the bottle and it dries quickly without any streaking or bubbles. I use a top coat over it because the foil finish polishes tend to chip more easily. 🙂

Slightly lighter than the stock color, but it does go on true to the color in the bottle. For as much shimmer as this has I was surprised you don’t see brush-strokes with it. nice pinky-purple flash to it too. it applies and wears very well even without a base coat (or top coat for that matter). I was undecided about this one at first, but after wearing it a few times I’ve grown to really like it.
