From the 2014 collection, but I had not used it until very recently! This is not a true red, such as Big Apple Red, An Affair in Red Square, etc. It’s a very strong orange red, never felt the need to use it.
I finally tried it, it’s a beautiful strong shade. The opacity is excellent, the coverage is great. 2 coats with a top coat of Seche Vite give the manicure a very glossy finish.
I’ll be using this quite often. It’s a winner!

This is from the 2014 Mustang collection. I admit, my long love affair with Mustangs is part of what attracted me to the collection. I picked this up hoping it would be close to the gorgeous warm red of a classic-era Mustang. To my disappointment, it isn’t.
Application is nice, very smooth. Opacity in two coats, as I would expect from an OPI creme. In the bottle it looks a bit more orange than it looks on my nails, but still leans more to orange than to red. Nice, but no better or worse than any of the other orange-red polishes I have in my collection. I do love reds, oranges, and in-betweens, but this is pretty unremarkable. It’s not really what I was hoping for, and although it’s a good quality polish with a nice colour, it’s otherwise pretty ordinary.
Still, good formula and nice enough colour, so if you don’t have a lot of red-orange polishes and you’re looking for a decent one, you might like this very much. If you have red oranges already, though, I think you can give this a miss and you won’t miss much.
DUPE ALERT: For some unknown reason (greed and laziness, I’m thinking?), OPI has renamed and repackaged this polish as OPI A Touch of Vamp in the 2015 Halloween pack, “Let’s Get Wicked”. (In fact, all the polishes in that set are repackaged/renamed existing polishes, but that’s another discussion.)

Race Red is the perfect red for me. I rarely wear red and it’s because it’s such a strong shade and it clashes with my skintone and looks harsh and terrible on me. But not this red! This is a gorgeous tomato red/cayenne pepper creme. It’s very warm and leans orange and is extremely flattering on my fair-med skin color. This is brand new and limited edition from the OPI Mustang 50th anniversary collection. As a Ford Mustang lover and fanatic and polish lover and fanatic/addict/hoarder, I had to have this collection. I really didn’t expect to like this polish I only bought it because it is LE and Mustang. This formula is fantastic and this stuff glides right on and is mostly opaque in 2 easy coats. I still had faint visible nail line so I added a second coat, but I might have been able to get by with only one. This goes on evenly and without streaking, dragging, flooding, running, or pooling. I love the formula on this. The brush is standard and very flexible so it applies the polish very well. But oh, the color! This is so pretty on. This from a non-red polish lover. I simply love this one and I intend to go back and purchase a couple more bottles for back up as once this is gone, it’s gone for good. I did pick up the rest of the collection and will try to review them as I use them. Not that this is important to the function of the polish, but it is visually appealing too with the galloping Mustang emblem printed on the cap. Squee!!! I am so excited, not only because this is Mustang, and I have been waiting for weeks for this release, but now more so because I love this pretty red polish! I was so excited I had to take a pic and then pop on here to do a quick review and share my excitement! Love love love this Race Red polish.
