One of my most unique polishes. Faye has a warm purple-y base that is almost obscured by mass amounts of golden microglitter. Upon close inspection the microglitter seems to have a 50/40/10 ration of bronze/gold/green. The overall effect is a warm sunny rosy purple-y halo with secret shots of green for your nails. I know this sounds complicated, but it’s a complicated color!
This polish applies like a dream, so super smooth and even with the perfect viscosity. First coat is pretty sheer – it actually looks very pretty at one coat if you like sheer, i.e. not streaky or weird-looking. Two makes it solid, but 3 coats is the magic number for me. It dries quickly, wears well, doesn’t easily chip like a lot of metallics, and is actually easy-ish to remove.
I can only wear this in the summer as it’s so warm-toned. It clashes horribly with my cool olive skin in winter, but I do get tan in summer and it looks sooooo pretty and sparkly, especially outdoors.

Initially when I saw this polish I was quite disappointed, because quite frankly when you see it in the bottle it isn’t very pretty. However, once applied this polish is beautiful and unique.
The color is a medium purple base and it is loaded with bronze micro glitter. In the right light you can also see some flashes of green and gold. I don’t think that I have ever seen another polish this color.
As with most of the Zoya polishes I have used this one has a very nice texture. Despite the heavy micro glitter it applies smoothly and evenly. The consistency is also very nice. It is not too thick or too thin.
You need two coats for full coverage. The first coat goes on quite sheer but with the second coat you get full coverage.
This comes in the standard Zoya nail polish bottle with the standard nail polish brush.
I can’t say enough good things about this very unique nail polish. It applied really nicely with little effort on my part it was not streaky or patchy. Zoya is one of my new favorite brands and I would definitely repurchase Faye should I ever use the entire bottle.
I paid $3.75 for this bottle on a promotional special. That was a great deal as the current price is $10 a bottle. Despite the fact that I initially did not like this color in the bottle I am pleasantly surprised at how much I like this one.
I will update in several days regarding the wearability.
UPDATE: I got 6 good days of wear from this polish. Granted I didn’t do a lot of dishes or laundry in those 6 days, but in my book that is still great wear.

I really like this polish, despite that I wouldn’t repurchase. Mostly because it is so unusual that I don’t think I’ll use it up! LOL Anyway, I bought this color with a few other Zoya polishes, and when I saw the bottle, I thought I’d made a mistake! It looked weird and ugly and not something I was going to be happy with–too weird. But this evening I decided to try it–figured I could remove it immediately as I had time to reapply a different color. Wow I’m so pleased that I put it on! It is less purple on me and more golden/copper than what you see in the MUA review picture. It seems to have just a hint of purple but not red and then the gold hits you. Lovely! I love violet and coral together, and this feels like that. I’m thinking a good polish for toes later this summer! Try it–you might be very well surprised!

Faye is a beautiful duochrome warm rose/mauve-pink duochrome packed full of gold shimmer. GREAT formula, perfect 2 coat coverage, fast drying, and it uses micro shimmer so its MUCH easier to remove and doesn’t scratch the nail bed unlike glitter polishes! Similar to OPI Rally Pretty Pink. An elegant choice for nude/soft pink/beige/chocolate colored clothing. I like it because it looks summery, modern and romantic and suits my very pale warm skin.
EDIT: If you are experiencing problems with Zoya excessively bubbling, shrinking, peeling off, chipping, or failing to dry properly, check the top or base coat you’re using!! Reason: Most of the original top/base nail polishes contain the ingredient “C.A.B.”, or Cellulose Acetate Butyrate and are not Big-3 compatible. CAB chemically destroys the new Big-3 polishes like Zoya, breaking them apart. Here are some of the ones to avoid list. Notice most of them state “super fast”. CAB must help with drying time.

There may be others. If you need to speed up drying, some people have reported that quick dry drops do not affect Zoya – as long as the Top/Base coat is compatible then it doesn’t seem to affect it.
I’m not downing either type of T & B coats. Neither is worse or better than each other as long as they’re compatible with what you’re using. The nail industry is evolving with new improvements to offer customers a new “natural” point of difference. Its a shame it clashes with the old technology. Basically one is marketed as “more natural” than the old type but you will have to choose the appropriate top coat to suit.

What a beautiful and unusual polish! Faye in my eyes is a warm rose gold color with a foiled quality. You could get away with 2 coats but I think that 3 is perfect. I am really digging Zoya polishes!

This polish is like a red purpe bases shimmer glitter polish with gold, copper, and mauve. This needs at least 3 coats. This in a unique polish.

My most favorite nail polish color. I totally love the duochrome finish. It’s light purple at the bottom and sprinkled with tons of microfine gold glitter on top. What a unique and stunning combination!!! I had to get 2 (one for backup) and I never usually buy 2 of the same color.

This color is really interesting. Indoors, it is a rosegold shade, heavy on the gold. It looks bronze for the most part, actually. But once sunlight hits it, you can see the purple undertones pop through. MAGIC!

This is my first ZOYA nail polish, as it’s pretty hard to find here where I live in Canada and any retailer/salon that does carry it only have a very limited selection. I’ve seen the swatches online and snatched this one up right away when I saw the display. In the States I know they sell from zoya.com for $8. The local salon I purchased this from (Chatters) charged me $9.03 pre-tax, which I figured was reasonable.
The formula from ZOYA surprised me. Having been only buying varieties of OPI (I’d rather invest in better quality and buying less), I had really high expectations of another brand in the same price range. ZOYA did not disappoint! It was thick enough that it didn’t slide around, and was runny enough that was easy to handle. It went on smooth and evenly without being streaky or patchy. The brush was easy to use and had pretty good control. I also quite like the packaging’s overall appearance.
Now the colour… I love it! I normally don’t like golds very much, but I love purples. I actually like the combination of lavenders with golds when it comes to make up. Golds look good against my warm skin tone, and the mauve-violet compliments it well. The foil is super bright and shiny, and I prefer it much better over frosts, metallics, and glitters. It just looks better (no streaks!) and is relatively easy to remove. In dimmer lighting, such as my house where we mostly use incandescent lamps, the nail polish looks mostly copper. You don’t notice the duochrome and if you dislike copper this might be a real bummer for you.
However, outside in daylight and in other situations where there’s cooler/whiter light sources (maybe in an office with fluorescents), the purple really comes out to play! I would say it is more of a warm violet with peachy-pink undertones. The gold duochrome will be much more noticeable and stand out against the lavender. It is surprisingly flattering and wearable. The polish itself isn’t entirely opaque, so 1-2 layers would most likely be appropriate for work. I use 3 layers for full opacity and the colour is unique enough without being too loud.
Overall, I love this polish and I think it’s very wearable, with a great formula and is easy to apply. It wears well and doesn’t chip. With a good base/top coat, it should last a full week. I’ve had it on my toes for more than 2 weeks without a problem. I would definitely try other ZOYA nail polishes after this one.

I’m sort of on the fence about this one. It’s a pretty, neutralish bronze I would say. I see absolutely NO purple or mauve at all, as it seems the actual “color” is drowned in a sea of gold sparkle. The formula and brush are great. I prefer Zoya’s formula over OPI and Essie, as I find it seems pretty consistent as far as not glooping up or being too watery. Faye took a lot longer to dry than Apple but perhaps thats just my imagination. While I think Faye is pretty, I don’t think I will reach for this one that often. The gold in it is borderline tacky and looks a little too warm on me. I haven’t worn Rica yet (that’ll be next), but I fear that one is going to be all goldish too. Not what I had expected. =(
