Pink-a-Boo is a beautiful icy cool pink polish from the core line. I don’t know when it was originally released or if it was previously part of a collection, but I do know that this is the third summer I’ve worn this one, so I’ve had this bottle for around 3 years and it’s still a good little polish. I love the fun name and it appropriately describes the polish as the microshimmers in this aren’t apparent and they peep out from time to time and create such a pretty illusion. This polish has a cool icy look making it perfect for summer wear. It almost looks frosty but not in a dated seventies way. I am not much of a pink polish wearer, but with it being June and the traditional wedding month, I saw a few videos where they did their top ten pale pink polishes, and they looked so cool and crisp and summery that I had to join in and that’s when this polish came out of my dusty drawer of pink polishes. The formula on this is decent for an Essie pale crème and it goes on pretty smoothly and doesn’t streak, pool, run, drip, or flood your cuticles. I don’t like the tiny thin brush though. It’s so small and narrow and it doesn’t really fan out to spread the polish and overall it just feels cheap and substandard for a $9 polish. It’s like going out for fine dining and they give you plasticware to eat with. It gets the job done, but doesn’t enhance the experience one bit. This is a bit sheer and I had to use 3 coats to get the desired opacity. I could still see a faint nail line even at 3 coats. Two coats of this actually gave a nice finish and I probably could have worn it as such but there was still too much VNL for my satisfaction at that. To anyone else this is going to look like a plain pink polish and standard office approved normal pink, but look at it closely and you’ll see the flashes of blue/magenta in this and it’s so pretty. It’s a very subtle look but it’s fun and I love polishes that aren’t what they really appear to be once you examine them closer. This one is a fun surprise since it is so subdued and it’s like you have a secret. Well, you do, a magic sparkle on your nails that only you or someone really close is going to see. This would be a good one for year ’round wear, but the frosty cool look also makes it feel perfect for summer for me. I am loving this one much more than I expected to. It really has that something special that makes it more than a run of the mill plain pink. I don’t usually recommend a polish that takes 3 coats and has a crappy brush, but this one has that something special. Yes, please!

Pink A Boo is a pale pink sheer with shimmer.Its a beautiful color that looks great on my pale skin.With three coats you can still see tips of nails.It goes on great with no streaking.I like this color very much,it makes my hands look lovely.

This color looks really good on its a pale pink with some light blue or purple undertones really pretty alone, layered or as a coat over a pinker polish the shimmer makes your nails have a nice shine on them – I like these color lipsticks as well so I was sure I would like this as well. I do a very short UV gel and have one coat of this over it looks very natural but adds alittle pink and shine!

Pink-A-Boo needs quite a few layers in order to build up a pink colour. One layer is nice enough, but is more sparkle than pink. I also found it a bit streaky and doesn’t dry particularly evenly. Love! Gorgeous sheer baby pink with pink and blue shimmers. Looks great with just one coat but I like that it can be layered or worn over other polishes. A bit streaky but dried very quickly. I didn’t use a top or base coat, have had it on for 3 days, and have no chips. Very nice.

This polish is so pretty- its a pretty pale pink with an interesting blue shimmer through it. In the bottle the colour looks milkly, but when applied it is very sheer. The formula is pretty runny – I haven’t attempted using it myself, instead taking it to the salon. The formula also is quite streaky – it took three coats to get an even colour. It is not totally opaque and you can still just see my nailwhite. I really love it though – its a little something different, and the shimmer just adds some interest. Love it

Gorgeous pale, cool pink with multi-color shimmer in the bottle; unfortunately, it doesn’t translate well onto the nail. I usually have good luck with Essie sheers — Mademoiselle, Sugar Daddy, BFF, and Allure are wonderful — but I swear this one took a leaf out of Ballet Slippers’ book. Very streaky and quite disappointing.

Gorgeous pale pink shade with subtle hints of shimmery glitter. I applied one white nail polish coat and two pink a boo coats. A nice shade for brides. It’s like a more pigmented version of OPI Sweetheart.

Sheer, cool toned pink with pink and blue microglitter – it does the iridescent thing. I haven’t tried it on its own and I don’t think I will as it is very sheer and I’m not that patient. Looks great layered over a white or pale pink opaque shade (2 coats of OPI’s original version of It’s Sheer Luck with one coat of this on top – gorgeous). Shimmer without being OTT. I love it.
