I have such mixed feelings on Wintermint. I really want to love it. It’s a dupe of Deborah Lippmann’s Mermaid’s Dream *and* it smells like mint (which is my favorite scent). So when I found this for super cheap at Big Lots it was calling my name.
The mint isn’t too intense (but then I like my mint borderline eye tearing intense-your milage may vary) and lasts approximately a day after painting. I applied it in three thin coats, and I didn’t have trouble distributing the glitter. So actual application isn’t a problem.
However, the dry time is abysmal even with quick dry top coat. I should not be smudging my nails two hours after painting them no matter what top coat I’m using. They also chipped quickly. I’ve worn this with and without peel off base coat and the ones without peel off still chipped in less than a day.
It seems that Revlon polish is a mixed bag with me. Some shades are absolutely streaky and don’t dry properly, or like this one want to chip immediately on me. Others, including the other Parfumeries I’ve tried, performed just fine. I really wish this was in the latter category.

Colour: I love this, so shiny and sparkly and a lovely summer green. Very pretty. Very green. Light and Bright. But so pretty and metallic and sparkly.
Formula: opaque in 3 coats, but it was relatively easy to work with, gave me nice thin layers, a bit of vnl on the second coat so I did the third and it dried nicely. The smell – I love the smell – peppermint. could still smell it on me the day after I polished.
Removal: I just soaked some cotton balls in acetone, sat them on my fingernails for a few minutes and it wiped straight off, for a glitter it was relatively easy to remove.
The bottle: love the parfumerie bottles. So cute. I must admit, I pick these up when they are on clearance simply because I love the bottles.

This is a lovely polish, a cool minty green with silver flecks. And yes it absolutely smells like mint! It’s glittery enough that taking it off is a pain, but pretty enough to be worth the trouble. If you can catch it on sale, I definitely recommend picking it up (and skip Spun Sugar! ugh.)

I gotta hand it to Revlon – their scented polishes are true to their name! Wintermint has a cool peppermint scent that lasted about two days on my nails (with two coats). As someone who loves perfumes and nail polish, the Parfumerie range is a godsend! The colour is lovely. It’s a pale, metallic green with tiny blue glitter specks. I’ve heard that you can wear a topcoat with these polishes without it compromising the scent, but I wore mine without, and the polish itself lasted about 5 days on my nails before chipping. So overall, the quality’s pretty good!
The packaging is my favourite thing ever! Everything from the label to the rounded cap. I just love the way it looks. So cute but also so elegant!
The only negative thing I have to say concerns the Parfumerie range in general, not just Wintermint. I’ve gotten a headache a couple of times after applying the polishes. This is only because of the chosen scent (peppermint in this case) mixing with the normal scent of nail polish. This can be quite off-putting as, for me, it was quite strong. So if you’re sensitive to strong smells, this could be a problem if you’re not in a well-ventilated area. However, once your nails dry and you’ve washed your hands, all you’re left with is the cool peppermint scent! Like I said, I think Revlon really outdid themselves with the scents as they definitely do smell like the things they’re supposed to smell like.

I was really excited to try this nail polish! I chose wintermint because I haven’t seen a color like this one anywhere. To my surprise I actually like the rounded handle on the bottle. When the nail polish starts to dry you can smell the mint. (I love mint scented anything) This polish is opaque in 3 coats and lasts 5-6 days on my nails.

Lovely mermaid/pastel green with glistening flakes, absolutely cool! The scent lasts for about a day and I am not bothered. Will buy it again for sure.

Pretty enough polish, but it doesn’t dry. Seche Vite won’t even harden this polish. I’ve never had a polish like this that just wouldn’t dry and harden even hours after Seche Vite was applied.
The other thing I didn’t like about this product was the gimmicky “scent”. First, it doesn’t seem like a wise thing to do to provide incentives for people to sniff nail polish. Gasoline and many other hazardous chemicals are odorless but are manually given an offensive odor on purpose so to alarm others that these are potentially hazardous products. I’m sure it would be just as easy to make these hazardous products smell like breath mints and roses, but why run the risk of encouraging people to huff gas. Same here, why encourage people to huff nail polish.
Second, this mint smell is very strong, you don’t have to have your fingers right under your nose to feel like you’ve been huffing a tin of Altoids for hours.
I ended up removing this polish the same day. It never dried and I got sick of the scent. Too bad, because it was pretty.

One of my favorite green polishes. This really does smell and look like winter mint. It’s a pale green with blue micro glitter. It’s hard to describe but it reminds me of blue mints? Gorgeous color and I have had so many compliments on the color. The woman in Ulta asked what polish it was and was surprised when I said Revlon. She grabbed a bottle herself.
Formula is amazing, easy to apply, no streaks, and opaque in one coat. Smells like mints for about 2 days. I didn’t get it for the scent but its nice. Use the Colorstay base and top coat and you will look like you have minty gel nails!

I love these scented polishes. This one I really like plus it has a nice sublte minty scent that you can smell even after a topcoat is applied. My only complaint is its grainy texture. Be prepared to apply several coats of topcoat to get a shiny appearance.

It seems like there are hardly any original colors to be found anymore, as the polish companies all dupe each other. This one is unique though: a frosty pale green with turquoise glitter. It’s a little grainier than I expected but I like the look. It’s a two-coater but dried fast. It really does smell like mint, but it’s subtle. Personally I don’t get this scented polish fad. If anything, it’d be nice to use a polish that smelled good BEFORE it dried, because I don’t go around sniffing my fingers throughout the day. Isn’t that just creepy? If you saw someone smelling their fingers, you’d probably not be thinking, “Oh, that chick probably used one of those cool new scented-polishes!” but “Ew, what did she scratch?” Am I right? Well, that’s what I would think. I got this at Target for $1.99 after stacking coupons. I do not like the square bottle; it’s hard to hold, and the round knob is also awkward for me. I don’t have man-hands but still… Oh, and this is a .4 oz bottle not .5.
