My favourite navy polish by far. I like the fact that it doesn’t look black even in poor lighting. I find Barry M brushes easy to work with. 2 coats give perfect coverage. Lasting power is good enough for me, as I change my nail colour frequently. I will most definitely repurchase Navy.

This is such a beautiful navy blue. It has shimmer but not too much. It does not look black either with 2 coats which a lot of dark polishes do. Smooth application. Looks sophisticated. Barry M polishes are very good value and give the more high end brands a run for their money. However, a lot of the shades seem to be aimed at teenagers or clubbers, not a lot of subtlety going on. There aren’t many shades I would wear but another recommend is Dusky Mauve, a dupe for a well known Chanel shade.

sooooooo good. Nice formula and pretty color!! Love it!!

I really love this colour. It’s a true deep navy with a shimmery “frost-like” finish. The formula is easy to work with and takes two coats to achieve full opacity. I’ve been impressed with Barry M nail polishes and highly recommend them!

Navy is a really lovely deep blue, with a fabulous blue shimmer. It applied very easily, and needed two coats (but was almost good to go in just one). My only gripe is that it peeled off pretty quickly.

i had to get my thoughts on this out there!
‘Navy’ is a really special colour. i’ve seen it sold but wasn’t really interested by it as it just seemed like a shimmery navy blue, nothing unusual or hard to find.
until i heard a lot of good things about it online. i wondered what the hype was, so just picked one up one day. when i tried and wore this, i could see what made this so unique.
firstly, this to me isn’t a straight-up navy shade, but a blue-black with navy duo-chrome. the reason i say this, is because the shimmers are SO dense and finely compacted into the colour, that it doesn’t look like shimmer or glitter. it just looks beautiful.
i own a lot of barry m nail paints, including almost all their basic shimmery ones, and i have not laid eyes on anything like this from barry m!
would buy again and again.
give it a go!

This one smells like Bouchero….except I like it much better the. BOUCHERON…..This is for the woman who is girly and still natural and fun. My favorite young pretty teacher used to wear this and it has.that classy elegant approachable vibe. I kind of smell cover girl makeup underneath this scent. Just clean and natural and “pretty”…….This one is beautiful. I have gotten a hold of some terrible old expired bottles of this. I found a good bottle.tonight.for.$1.99 with a lotion at a closeout store.and I went.for it.and am glad I decided to try again. I think I’m going.to go buy gift.set….perfect for.women who don’t want to smell too young.

I love Navy. The next time I visit the U.S. I’ll buy it. For me, Navy brings me right back to 1993 and lots of great teenage memories.

I had originally reviewed this one and gave a poor rating. My mind has been changed! I saw this in an after-Christmas sale at Sprawlmart- 2 bottles of cologne spray for less than ten dollars! Couldn’t pass that one up. I brought it home and dutifully sprayed my sweater. At first it smelled like the original Vaseline Lotion from the 80’s (anyone remember that? It came in a light green bottle). I don’t mean that in a bad way, either. My beloved Gramp used that stuff all of the time… As the scent blended, it became soft, spicy and most of all, powdery. I also got hints of cinnamon.I can’t stop sniffing. I can’t comment on the Cover Girl version as the one I have is made by Dana Classic Fragrances. It’s very long-lasting and oh-so-soft. It’s freezing outside today and it’s the perfect accompaniment to snuggling and having a hot cup of cocoa.
Notes per the Dana Classic Fragrances website:
“A refreshing classic citrus floral blend of rose, jasmine and orange flower with a hints of sweet spice of coriander and cinnamon.”
Enjoy!

Always a reason why some scents stick around and that’s because they just smell good and Dana’s Navy just does. It has staying power, a little spritz goes a long way, it’s inexpensive, and its scent will remind you of a musky, patchouli, amber with a hint of vanilla essence in the background. I compare it to the daytime version of Tabu, or the good girl version of Tabu if there is such a creature. Navy is just a nice scent that isn’t overbearing. Top notes are green and peach; middle notes are orange blossom, jasmine, ylang-ylang, and rose; base notes are amber, musk, vanilla, coriander and cinnamon. After the drydown, the muskiness definitely stays with the musk and vanilla and a slight scent of cinnamon. It’s a very wholesome type of scent. The scent has staying power to last all day, which is wonderful for an inexpensive product. If you enjoy an oriental perfume, try Navy. You just might be surprised. It packs a lot in its scent that keeps circling around the base notes in a pleasant surprise all day long. It bears repeating that Navy is not so much a watered-down version of Tabu, but it is a less sultry version of it. If Tabu is your night perfume, then Navy would be the one you’d reach for during the day.
An old favorite that I’ll just keep handy for when I want to feel good about myself.

I’m a girlie girl that loves her cosmetics and smelling great on a shoestring. This is why I sample all drug store offerings. On my skin Navy (now by Dana) smells exactly like Boucheron in a side by side comparison except that Navy smells a touch nicer…. for $3! It’s long-lasting, dirt cheap and easy to find. It don’t care for the ugly bottle, but the overall value of the product makes up for it. Will always repurchase.

Its a shame that I can’t find it here in Australia, this was the first ever perfume my dad got for me on a business trip to US, I remember I was 13 and I was a bit scared to wear it to school cuz none of other kids ever wear perfumes to school, but I did get compliments and I was so happy. It’s been so many years but I think I still remember the unique scent the feel of warmth and love.

Brings me right back to 1991. Listening to Nirvana in my Xboyfriends mustang… I wouldn’t wear this now. I Have a soft spot in my heart for it though. Sweet and Spicy..

Believe it or not this is the exactly same color as sinful colors endless blue except it thinner but really they are the same colors. i just find this out as i brought the sinful color one today and when i got home and was about to paint my nails i looked up at my nail polish stash and just realized it lol

This is one of the prettiest blue polishes I’ve ever used. It isn’t a boring navy blue polish. It’s actually an electric looking bright, almost purple blue polish. It’s really amazing. It tends to be on the thick side so there may be a need to thin out the formula.
My nails tend to be brittle. The only polish brands that do not dry out my nails are Zoya, Chanel, and the Creme Julep formulas. Unfortunately, L.A. Colors does dry my nails out. I’ve counteract this dryness by soaking my nails in a warm oil mixture and massaging shea butter into my cuticles each day. This has helped. I just thought I’d mention it to those who suffer from dry nails.
To get the manicure to last longer, I apply my Barielle Ultra Speed Dry Manicure Extender over two coats, THEN IMMEDIATELY apply my Colorstay Sealant (the clear one you put over the color….it works really good with regular polishes too). This method gives me about 7 days of good, minimal chipping wear. It dries to a nice hard finish…almost appearing like gel nails. BUT this method does take a while to dry.

This was my first “grown up” fragrance and I loved it. I hadn’t owned or worn it in many many years. I recently was in Wal-mart and decided to get nostalgic. So I pick up a bottle and gave it a sniff. Took me right back to the Christmas I first got it and memories of jr.high. It’s a warm powdery spicy scent that smells just like I remember. Yes..i will continue to repurchase.

Notes from Fragrantica: greens, peach, orange blossom, jasmine, ylang-ylang, rose, amber, musk, vanilla
let me preface the review by saying that i smelled it when it first came out in a magazine strip and thought it smelled amazing. At the time(i was in high school) i already fallen in love with my HG, Samsara and i thought this scent was definately in the same category. I never purchased it until the other day when i kept seeing it at Walmart for bargain price of $7(two little bottles of cologne). I figured if i didn’t like it, seven bucks is not a big deal
at first smell(in the bottle), i wasn’t impressed-smelled a bit old and dated to me. I decided to give it a go on my wrist and ahh…there we go, the scent that brought me back to 1991. Warm vanilla ambery goodness. I really don’t get anything “powdery” like lot of reviewers claim. I generally dislike powdery frags and there is no powder there. I don’t get peach and greens at all-jasmine with ylang-ylang predominate, with amber on the drydown. Very warm rich sweet scent. If you like fruity or fresh light frags, this is definately not for you-but if you appreciate richer orientals, you will love this, just like i did. Tiny spritz on my wrist lasted for at least 5-6 hours and we are talking eau de cologne here, not even edt. That’s some lasting power, amazing! I miss the times when the fragrances actually lasted as opposed to modern scents that you have to layer to make it last.
This is sexy, rich scent, perfect for night out or cold weather. Alas, i live in the tropics but i still intend to wear it, just use a light hand. Will definately repurchase!

Great classic sweet as candy scent. It dries down to a nice adult scent. It reminds me of my mother, she always had a bottle of this in the 80’s maybe early 90’s
