I have 10 of these. The bright pastel colour ones (pistachio ice cream, bold blue, posy) tend to streak and look patchy after 3 coats. Fever red (dark colour) looks even worse. As you need at least 3 coats the pastel ones end up looking much too bright for my liking. I won’t be buying pale coloured MUA polish again.
However the bright (cherry blossom, bright coral) and mid coloured ones (frozen yoghurt, amaretto crush, steel blue) look good after 2 or 3 coats.
Bright coral has to be my favourite, it has a sort creaminess to it even though it’s super bright (pink). Frozen yoghurt has a similar sort of quality to it, but it’s lavender coloured.
I bought the clear one to use as a base coat and it makes any brand polish used over the top look bumpy. They chip really easily. The white plastic lids have also started to yellow. They also tend to go gloopy REALLY quickly and they will need A LOT of thinner to make them usable again. For 60p more you can get essence nail polish and they are so much better.

I was hesitant at how long nail polish that costs 1 would last, but with a base & top coat is lasted without chips for 5 days. Result!
The bottle is about t half the size of my Essie & Barry M nail polishes, but I don’t have a problem with this as I never get to the bottom of a bottle of nail polish without it all ending up gloopy (even with using seche vite restore) – old nail polish is always more tricky to manage & paint my nails.
Only downside is the polish gives less coverage than more expensive brands & so I had to use 3 coats – but the colour I used was fairly pale and I have a few dark ridges on my nails, which didn’t help.
All in all, I think its excellent value for money and the range of colours within MUA are excellent

I have Pistachio Ice Cream which is an obvious dupe for Essie’s Mint Apple. The colour is nice, and the lasting power is ok, particularly if you use a good top coat, but it streaks like crazy! I find it almost impossible to apply it evenly! However, for £1, it’s still a pretty good deal.

I brought 3 of these since they were on a 3 for 2 offer and they only cost £1 so I though I will give them a go. I have the ones that come in a packaging that is similar to Essie although smaller.
They are a nuisance to apply. The brush is super small so it’s easier to make it look uneven and it takes much longer to apply. You will definitely need at least 2 coats, especially with the lighter colours and a top coat is a must for these otherwise they will not stay on for long. The staying power is quite good but I only ever wear nail polish for a few days.
One of the colours I’ve got is ‘Natural Days’ and I love it! I would recommend these if you are on a budget and don’t mind spending a bit of time on your nails. I won’t repurchase these because the small brush annoys me and having tried Essie that comes with a wide brush, I am able to apply Essie much quicker and more smoothly. 🙂

Being the snob I was, I looked down upon the price of MUA cosmetics before even trying out. Now I’ve been using their nail varnish and quakes and can’t stop saying wonderful things about them. Especially the nail quakes in all different colors, they end up looking super frosty if I just put it alone. Good top coat is required thought. It would last you a great long time.
Started switching to MUA ever since ELF got all popular and discontinued many of their essential products slowly, and starting to increase their prices. MUA’s price is still humble compared to that. And I find their eyeshadows to be a lot more superior than ELF’s.
Got 5 nail polishes for free last week due to an offer – 45000 facebook likes (that was opened for public).

I bought this make up academy nail polish in shade no 3. This is a dark purple colour. It was only £1! So very cheap. However, it was not good at all. I had to put 3 coats on and even at that it chipped right away. It is cheap and the packaging is quite good but the product was very runny and thin. Not a good product at all.
