Romper Room has the same vibe as Fiji which I usually buy. This time I decided to go for Romper Room as they looked very similar in the display. Romper Room leans more on the pinker side and Fiji leans more white, I like Romper Room better because it gives a softer less harsh look. Romper Room also has a thinner consistency that makes it easier to apply. Very pretty color for manicure’s and pedicure’s it gives a clean and polished look to hands and feet. Would buy again!

It’s a nice color on my pale skin and easy to control with total coverage in 2 coats. Similar to Muchi Muchi color, a bit more pink and more opaque, plus not as watery. Like this one better, even though it is with the old skinny brushes, it’s still easy to apply and control. Nice anytime, any season, appropriate pretty work color.

Romper Room is what I wanted Fiji to be. It’s a great opaque (in two coats) pinky white that brightens up your nails. It looks clean, minimalistic and modern. I highly recommend 🙂 I would say my bottle looks much whiter than the photos posted here though.

Romper Room is a gorgeous shade of milky baby pink. It looks very flattering on my NC15 skin but I believe it would suit many different skin tones. It is a very delicate and feminine colour, and it is appropriate to wear to work, suitable for brides and wearable for any other conservative occasion. It has an ok formula, it’s a little thin and the first couple of coats applied a little streakily but once I reached the third coat, it was fully opaque with no streaks. I found it to be reasonably self-levelling, but I would definitely recommend using a light hand and very thin coats. Three coats should be enough, you may be able to do it in two coats depending on your application. The polish lasted about 5 days on me when paired with base and top coat, which I find standard for Essie polishes. I really enjoyed wearing this colour and would recommend it to anyone searching for a pretty baby pink.

I’m surprised Romper Room barely has any reviews here. It’s such a lovely color.
Beloved Essie Fiji did not work on my very fair skintone. It clashed, looked tacky, and dare I say, wasn’t “baby pink” enough. I needed something even lighter.
So here comes Romper Room.
Opaque, easier to apply, and the softest and lightest off white baby pink I’ve seen so far. This is what I think Essie Ballet Slippers would look like if it were completely opaque. So as a precaution, this could look like another ‘barely’ white polish, so if you’re looking for a true, obvious pink, this polish may not be it.
Looking at the photo swatches online, I would say the photos that show a lighter Romper Room without any lavender hues were the true swatches. Some photos make Romper Room look like pale lilac, which it isn’t at all.
If you prefer OPI, OPI’s Hello Kitty Collection Let’s Be Friends is VERY similar in shade, difference is barely noticeable. I was surprised at how similar, but they’re both lovely pale pinks.

I love this color!!! Much better than Fiji IMO. I agree that Fiji is sold in so many different shades…. Not sure what is up with that but Romper Room for sure applies better than Fiji which I have two and they are 2 different colors.. Weird. Anyway RR is my favorite pale white pink!!! Love love love it!!!!! Iam going to buy a back up!!!!!!!

I cant help but wonder if Romper Room is the new Fiji especially since there seems to be a little bit of confusion over the various shades of Fiji available in different countries & from year to year.
Anyway, since Fiji is no longer available at my local drogerie, I decided to purchase Romper Room as an alternative & so far Im really loving it.
Its slightly pinkier than Fiji which is not so much of a problem for me HOWEVER the formula is MUCH MUCH better than Fiji IMO. It streaks much less than Fiji & once dried seems smoother (for lack of a better word).
Overall, I really like Romper Room & Im glad Ive tried it.
Would highly recommend!!!
