Go Ginza is a beautiful lilac that’s great all year world. Application takes 2-3 coats which I expect from most polishes now. The colour is lovely and quality is nice.

Go Ginza by Essie is the quintessential pastel lilac that you need in your spring and summer wardrobe. I’ve been looking for a shade like this and Go Ginza seems to be a perfect choice for me. Formula is standard Essie cream, very easy to apply and opaque in 2-3 coats. The problem with this polish is that there seems to be an inconsistency with the color, when I was in the drugstore, there was 2 or 3 colors all labeled with the same name, one was slightly pink, other was more lavender. You would have to choose your version of Go Ginza when you shop for it.

Go Ginza is one of my favourite Essie polishes. It is a gorgeous shade of lilac with a pink undertone, which makes it very flattering on my NC15 skin. It has a creme finish and an excellent formula for such a light colour – two coats to fill opacity. It dries quickly and to a shiny finish. It applied easily, no streaks or bald patches. It also has fantastic wear time, lasting around 5 days paired with base coat and top coat before suffering from minimal tipwear. It lasts even longer as a pedi – and is actually very flattering on the feet, particularly if they have a bit of a tan. I always get a lot of compliments on this colour, and I think it would be flattering on most skin tones. This is such a beautiful shade to pull out in the Spring – every purple lover needs this one!

Just as I was about to throw in the towel on Essie pastels (and Essie, given how hit and miss their formulas are), I found Go Ginza on sale, and, feeling foolish given so many previous tragedies with Essie and especially Essie pastels, picked it up — it was such a pretty shade…
…what shade that is seems to depend on ???, though, as there are a lot of photos of this shade where the colour is clearly different. (There’s that great Essie quality control again! ????) Essie calls it a pink. It is definitely not pink in my bottle or on my nails, but a very pretty spring/summery lilac.
Much to my surprise, application was fairly fuss free. The first coat looked like hell, but it self-levelled and looked great after only two coats.
I used a base coat, and Essie’s “Gel Setter” on top, and let considerable time elapse between coats, and was careful to wrap the tips. It’s been about three days and I can only find one chip on an index finger, and I can only find it by really looking hard. This, in my book, is a win for a pastel. I haven’t been doing anything to onerous with my hands, but I haven’t been fussy about trying to protect the polish, either.
Recommended if you like the version of this sold in your store — I would not have bought one of the more pinkish bottles, but the pale lilac looks quite nice on short fingernails with pale/cool skin.

Essie Go Ginza is one fantastic nail polish! The color is beautiful, a pastel purple. The pigmentation is incredible: You will only need two coats tops to achieve even coverage. The longevity is amazing: It was a good five days before I noticed it slightly fading at the tips.
Essie really is the best brand of nail polishes on the market and worth the price.

I didn’t love this quite as much as I thought I would based on the other reviews. It’s a cool pale greyish lilac that just didn’t look super with my coloring (cool, pale). I also needed 3 coats to achieve opacity which was annoying. It’s not terrible though and it is “fresh,” different, and a nice Summertime color. To me it is more “white” than in the photo above the reviews here which shows it as more “lilac” than it looks on my toes (even after 3 coats). Would probably look far better on someone with a tan or different coloring than me. It IS different and interesting though and I do like the change from colors I’ve bored of over the years (such as Mint Candy Apple). I’m going to try Essie Lapiz Of Luxury next and hope it is more of a 5 lippie product for me and a regular staple which I’d hoped this would be. UPDATE: This has grown on me but I’m still not as obsessed as other reviewers here.

A beautiful pink/lilac shade that’s perfect for spring, plus the formula isn’t watery or running.
I’ve learned that Essie formulas can be hit and miss so I usually buy them on sale because I’d rather not pay full price if the formula is mediocre.
Go Ginza would flatter most skin tones and it would look great when I have more colour in the summer.

I’am not fan over lilac lavender polish but love this one. A pale lilac cream with a white grey undertone. Perfect for spring. Applied for me like a dream… 2 coats and done! I like to put a silver glitter on each ring finger and whoa… It is stunning. Looks like Easter. I would buy this again if I ran out!!!!! Love love love!!!

One of my favorite pedicure colors, Go Ginza is an opaque greyed-out lilac creme. It has just enough grey to make it a nice coordinating color no matter what sandals you’re wearing, and enough light purple to keep it mod, not zombie. Plus it covers well: I had an ugly bruise on my toenail and two coats completely masked it.
