To start with, I generally don’t care for red nail polish on me…it’s just not a color I gravitate towards because I feel it’s too “harsh” for my skintone. However, I saw Cherry on Top at Kohl’s and decided to try it. It’s part of the Summer 2018 Soda pop Shop collection.
It’s gorgeous. It’s a cool-toned bright red (I guess you’d call it a cherry red) and I think it’s the most flattering red I’ve ever tried. I do have a summer tan; maybe that helps, but anyways I love it.
The formula was excellent; I had so streaking or dragging when I applied it and it could have easily been a one-coater. According to other reviews it does stain (I haven’t removed it yet) so you have to be careful with removal. I also LOVE Essie’s new, wider brush. It makes application a breeze.
I would most definitely purchase it again.
