Essie nail polish is truly an acquired taste.
The natural nail colors lean quite sheer but that is precisely why I love it.
Truthfully, my first time with this brand I was shocked that many of their sheer nude polishes required at least 5 coats.
You have to ask yourself, is it worth all the extra effort? The final result satisfied my initial doubts.
The more I wore them, the more I grew to love them for their particular uniqueness even more than any other brands. Why, you ask? These were truly the most natural nail polishes of all and they provided the sort of elegance and delicateness to the fingers unmatched by other brands of polishes. It gives a sheer wash of delicate color that softens the overall presence of your hands wonderfully. This polish has the unique quality of making your hands look extremely pretty and feminine in a soft and delicate manner more so than other polishes which is an overall quality I have not seen quite as intensely or consistently across other brands’ nail polish lines. These natural shades blend right in especially because of the sheerer formula that retain the naturalness of your nails while giving you the beauty of bridal nails on an everyday basis. The bright shades take fewer coats to reach opacity but are just as pretty and elegant. Perfect neutral pink/nude! Makes my nails look fresh from the salon. Has a cooler base. Slightly opaque. Can be built up. Goes on evenly. Dries with a gel like shine. I wear this when I need something understated and classy. If you have longer tips, this can give an American manicure effect. Perfect polish to leave on for a week or two. I love that Essie never stains my nails and never chips.

I have this in the “angora cardi” shade, which is a beautiful deep burgundy mauve. The brush is not great but I love the shade. Covered nicely in 2 coats and I used my favorite Wet n Wild Megalast hard as ice as a top coat. Nice professional look for winter.

This review is for the color and care product. Fail, this is making my nails peel. I have natural nails that I have to trim to keep to an active length. My nails usually do not peel or shred on the side and I type all day, garden, do house work etc. Tip since I bought a glass nail file the condition of my nails has greatly improved. Ulta $10 well spent. I have the pink and purple ones.
This polish, I bought the blue lavender color, two coats, very sheer nice tint and a little bit of luminescence. I really like the color. Wear is not so great, edges wore off on second day, by third day two of my nails were peeling. As I really liked the color I gave it another chance next manicure, Sunday night manicure and this time I used a base coat under. More peeling. This is Wednesday and I will be taking this polish off tonight and replacing with Vanity Fairest or similar. Also if you have any ridges in your nails this will not be enough of a filler product to protect your nails.

They are overprice, but there are pros/cons of this nail polish, once I put on the baseocat, nailpolish, and the topcoat my nails have lasted 7days without touch-up. But I like ballet slipper, sea level and a few others are nice. But nail polish you have to try on to see what colors works and how it goes on. I do like that Essie has the mini size and if you go to HSN you can get the 4ct mini from $12.99 to $18.00 to try.And Macys carry them too. No polish I don’t care how little or how much you spend on them there are pros/cons with all of them. But that being said for me I like Essie and the colors they have.

Don’t waste your money. The colors are pretty. Darker shades are opaque in one-two coats; lighter shades don’t have enough pigment even after three layers. The brush is too skinny and too straight for a seamless application. On my nails, the polish lasted only a day – not something that I experience often. A waste of money and time.

Outrageously, have been waiting on a package I ordered in AUGUST. They’ve blamed the post office when it’s clear it was never sent (I was hospitalized for some time and it fell off my radar). I’ve never been given an apology or explanation…or even an offer of compensation. I honestly can’t even remember the order itself and the complaint ticket has turned into fourteen back and forths with promises it was sent and requests for my address again and again. I am a professional manicurist… hey beautiful packaging… but this stuff is just plain horrible. fresh polish, yet, it’s so thick and hard to apply I’ve had to add polish thinner so it will move…I don’t even know how it is going to wear but from reading the reviews, I’m not counting on it lasting very long… reading reviews I see others are not impressed either… Stop buying this stuff so they take it off the market…Upon trying this on myself as a professional, i would never polish my client’s nails with this polish…

Beautiful packaging, beautiful colours but it lasts about a day on me before chipping. I am gutted because I bought a whole selection of their colours and honestly they are only really good for one night out. I honestly think they do the most lovely selection of colours I’ve seen in a while and they have such a huge variety. Their chunky glass bottles are the prettiest things ever, they aren’t cheap but I buy most polishes when they are on sale and these were no exception – just just don’t last at all. 🙁

Yikes. This stuff is horrible. I’ve tried it a couple times and had to apply three coats and it has a sand paper like texture. I’m not sure what they were going for but the texture and color are horrible. Maybe I got a bad bottle? I’d skip this pricey stuff. Mine is going in the trash and have to redo the nails.

Butter London is the first brand of nail polish with a formula that is long lasting on my nails. It is not cheap for a nail polish but it outlasts OPI polish by a few days and the finish and application have always been premium. A worth it splurge for this reason.

Bought Mauvelous and I am surprised at how long it took to start showing wear. For me, a nail polish taking a week to chip is really good, and this took about a week to start looking not so hot. The brush was easy to use and applied very evenly. It wasn’t goopy or too thin, and it came out really pigmented. I think I did two coats and got good opaque coverage. It did dull with wear, but I actually preferred the color it went down to from the original brighter pink. Overall, happy with this color!

I actually love this nail polish, it goes on smooth and opaque (I have the color Vintage), it dries fast, and it doesn’t do that annoying thing every nail polish seems to do where it smudges if you so much as try to grab something once they feel dry to the touch. However, I don’t know if it’s because of the topcoat (I used the Orly topcoat with it) or the polish, but every time I’ve used it, every bit of polish will peel off in one piece if I move my hand the wrong way. I’ll experiment with it some more with some different topcoats and I’ll definitely finish the bottle because I love the color but I probably wouldn’t repurchase it.

I’m not a fan of nail polish and have only tried few brands. I bought this only because it’s super cheap (less than 2 Euros) and has great variety of colors. However, I was really surprised by the pigmentation and texture. I think it’s better than any other nail polishes I own. Will probably buy it again in different color or for my sister.

I love the Colour & Go polish line. Juicy Love (a poppy orange-red) and Fame Fatal (a bright deep red) are my favorites. If I’m careful and use a good base coat, I can get by with one coat of polish in these two colors.

I honestly feel the staying power is either the same of better than some of the high end products I’ve tried. I got my first one today. I got the color black since i was in need of a new one. Its not bad but it took two coats to get it black, it came out a little watery and grey looking. I do better with a cheaper dollar one. But i never tried any other colors so i’m sure some of those are great. I dont like the little brush, its too wide for my liking. I say give it go.

So I purchased 2 colors: Sky and Mr. Wrong
Sky: looks like perfection in the bottle. However this one is a hot mess to apply, super streaky. Need to have a coat that is neither too thick or too thin for decent application. This one chipped like crazy. No longer use this as my “sky blue” nail color.
Mr. Wrong: first off love the name on this one. It is a purple with fine gold glitter polish. Opaque in 2 coats.. Wear time is average. I like to pair it with a totally gold glitter accent finger.

I never tried the polishes that came with the ring but I have a few of the new ones in the tall roundish bottle. They have some interesting colors but truth be told I just don’t really care for them. The glitters/toppers become goopy very fast and perform as though they don’t have any clear base in them at all. The shimmer colors are sheer and need 3 coats, and don’t have any lasting power at all. No matter what base or top coats I use this polish will start chipping like a mofo very soon. They retail for 4 bucks at Walmart and I don’t think they’re worth the price – 4 bucks might not be the most pricey but in my opinion they are since you can buy 2 dollar polishes that work so much better.

I got this in the color Sweet Tooth, a blueish white enamel with blue sparkles.
It doesn’t show up on the nails, you might get like two sparkles on every nail with every coat. The blueish white enamel looks transparent. Only pro is that it dries relatively fast. If I could give this zero lippies I would!

I find these nail polishes very thick in texture, making it hard to apply a thin coat with decent coverage. I have to apply at least 2 coats to give it a solid colour. The packaging is very cute! The price is alright. Canmake is definitely more popular for their makeup than nail polishes, imo 😛

I have it in 46, it’s a very girly pink – kind of bubble gum like. It’s not normally a color I would go for, but I received it as a gift from very special people, so I will keep using it. Ease of application, the time it takes to dry, and lasting power is all pretty standard.

I bought this shade in #40 Black and I have to say I was very disappointed. I just wanted a plain black color and bought this on a whim. I don’t know if it was just my bottle, but the brush was very frayed and spread out when I bought it. After I tried applying it, the polish was gloopy and hard to work with. My sister tried painting it on her nails and agreed that it was hard to paint. I will not be purchasing this again, and I only use this for small details on my nail art.

I love Canmake’s nail polishes because the colours are just so sweet and girly. I prefer the sheer formula more because they are harder to find and they look very girly indeed.
The formula is very nice, non streaky, the brush is not too bad although it is not the flat kind like opi (which is my favourite). Although this is a drugstore brand, i think their polishes are rather pricey considering each bottle probably contains half of what a full size opi does (could not find the amount of polish each bottle contains on the label)
I loved one of the peachy, coral colours so much that i already got a backup 🙂

I have a few dozens of these from every series.
1. The nail polish series are more sheer.
2. Colorful nail series are full of pop colors, they have a jelly kind of texture to them, and are easy for making layers.
3. Nail glitter are only for making layers. They are super hard to wash off.
4. Gloss fit series have all nude colors, and more thick in texture.
On the whole, they are longlasting and full of different colors! It is easy to use them to make those japanese looking nails.

Honestly, I didn’t expect much from these nail polishes regarding the price but I was really surprised. I would like to take a moment to appreciate the opaqueness like seriously I have the shade Chocolate, which is a very dark brown, and I needed just ONE coat to get the full color. That’s pretty amazing because when I use drugstore nail polishes (which are actually more expensive) I usually need 2 coats at least to get a decent shade. The only con is that I have a feeling they chip quite fast but that might be because I skipped base coat (was in a rush and needed my nails to dry faster). Also, the color is a lot darker than shown on the E.l.f. website, but I didn’t really mind that. Overall I think it’s a really good nail polish for the price and I probably will buy other shades in the future.

I own ELF nail polishes in the colors Chocolate, Dragon Fruit, Smoky Brown and Mauve. I like the consistency of all the polishes, they are opaque with just one coat and the formula is “3-free”.
Now a little about the colors: Chocolate is a little too dark for my liking, almost black, so not very versatile. Dragon Fruit is much more candy pink than coral (which is what I expected) so again, not versatile. Smoky Brown and Mauve are gorgeous, very elegant and suitable every day colors.
My complaints about these polishes are that they dry to a dull color, so a good shiny top coat is a must, they chip pretty easily and the brush quality doesn’t seem to be standard (for me, the applicator brush for Mauve is very uneven and leaves streaks).
For $2 though, it’s fun to try different shades before buying more expensive dupes from other brands.

I have two sets of these from Holiday nail cubes and gift sets. They really are hit or miss, some of the glitter shades and metallics are gorgeous on the nail. There are also creams that look great and have a good formula, but overall the cream finishes can be a pain. They are cheap and affordable with quick drying time but chip easily even with a base and top coat. One color even chipped within 12 hours of wear and I had to remove it after just two days.
If you absolutely must have some of thse, I’d suggest buying a set or just one bottle rather than any extensive collecting. Fairy dust is one of the standouts that is worth buying by itself.

I tried my first E.L.F. polish yesterday afternoon from a four polish kit at TJ Maxx. By this morning most of my nails are already missing polish, some of them severely! I would not purchase again when there are so many other polishes that stay on much longer. The package was also overboard for four polishes, a major waste of plastic. I will not recommend to anyone.

I bought the bam glam package for 3$ which came with the following colors… Blush, Golden Goddess and Cranberry. All I have to say is that the colors are really pretty but the nail polish isn’t very good quality. On the first day that I wore one of the nail polish’s it fell off almost instantly, it does not last very long at all. Also I think the size of the bottles are not worth a dollar each. It also is really hard to get off no matter how much nail polish remove you put on it, rub it it just doesn’t come off! Also the bottles are so small that after using it once you barely have any left. Overall I give a 1/5 and a no to repurchasing.

So I bought this in Party Purple and Metal Madness, but the review is mostly for Party Purple, because I only have put Metal Madness on my toenails so far, and things always last longer on toenails.
This is a surprisingly good $2 nail polish! I have soft nails so colors fall off them pretty easily, but Party Purple lasted a week on my hands (with a topcoat on), through house-cleaning, gardening, and kung fu classes. It took three coats to get the right color and it was a little streaky as I did so, but those three coats made it really pretty and even, and it’s a super-pretty metallic plum-fuchsia. I totally forgot it was my “cheap nail polish experiment” by day 3! I have OPI’s that don’t last this long – AND Party Purple is a metallic, which in my experience is supposed to chip like mad…it is really surprising to me how long it lasts.
I am TOTALLY impressed, ELF. I am excited to try out some other colors on my fingernails so I can see if they’re all this pretty and durable!
PS – ELF is cruelty-free too. 🙂

Crabtree & Evelyn nail polishes are a hidden gem and they usually have specials on their products. I grabbed three polishes including Pistachio which is a yellow-green that does look like the colour of pistachios.
It has a sheen but no flecks of gold or sparkles.
The formula is on the thin side and it requires about three coats to get good coverage but it’s not watery like some of Essie polishes can be.
Lasting power is about the same as the Essie polishes (at least for me) – about 3-4 days before the polish starts fading/chipping.
The colour selection is limited and hopefully they’ll add more choices.

I have this in Petal Pink – beautiful very sheer pink, no shimmer, applies like a dream. Innocent as a little ballerina in her pink tutu. MNOB! Lasts well too! I know, because I rarely wear nail polish, just for special evenings out, and (psst dirty little secret…) let them wear off gradually rather than removing them with nail polish. This one passes the test, staying fresh for over a week and then the shine gradually fades with no chipping.

THIS is by far the best nail polish I’ve ever used. The formula applies so easily and with a top coat, my manicure lasts about a week. My father in-law works at Gift-o-logy/Hannoush and they carry Crabtree & Evelyn products. I received 7 different colors: black cherry, silver, sky blue, eggplant, pomegranate, & gold. All are beautiful, all only need no less than 2 coats. With the black cherry, it’s best to use a black coat underneath to really bring out the color. I’m not sure how much it is on their website or in other stores, but it’s only 6$ at Gift-o-logy/Hannoush. It’s great nail polish! I’m surprised a lot of people haven’t tried it.

I don’t know if it was the specific colour (Lightness of Being) I bought or what but the formula was thick and hard to apply. Also just when you think the polish is dry and you smudge it just the slightest, and because of this thick formula, you’d get a massive cut in the polish.
I guess if you have like an hour of patience it’ll be fine.

BIG mistake. “Tell me this is a cruel joke, MAC!” I say, frustrated and disappointed that yet another MAC nail polish had let me down. The nail color was WEAK, it was a streaky, thin formula, and to top it off, it didn’t even match the lipstick of the same name! If you looked at my lips and my nails, you’d barely be able to tell that they’re supposed to be a matching color combo… I had to literally cake on like 6 coats of the lacquer on my nail to have it look semi-decent… and even then, no. Just no. I have generic, no-name nail polish I purchased for $1 that are better quality than the MAC nail polish.

I find that the quality is no better than OPI or Essie. Its a shame since they do come out with nice shades time to time. They also have a tendency to chip a ton. I will not repurchase.

This is a review for the Sephora by OPI nail polish. I recently picked up the XOX Betsey colour for $4 at my local Marshall’s. The quality is just as good as a regular OPI polish, colour is opaque and applies well, bottle and brush are a good size. As a fan of OPI polishes, I would definitely purchase again!

This is a very lovely colour (turquoise-green duochrome) and the brush is superb. The varnish applies like a dream and is very fast drying. It was almost completely opaque in just one coat.
BUT! In spite of having used both a base and a top coat (‘first base’ base coat and ‘good to go!’ top coat, both by Essie) the varnish started to chip/peel off less than 24 hours after application. When I removed the polish I found that it had – in spite of the use of base coat – tinted all of my nails smurf blue! I have even tried soaking my fingers in nail varnish remover but to little use; my nails are still blue! On top of that this polish (in Denmark) costs just as much per millilitre as NARS nail varnish and a whole lot more than Ciaté and Essie – all of which are of a far better quality.
Too bad Sephora – I really, really liked the colour, the brush and the application, but I am not buying any more of your nail varnishes.

I am a nail polish fanatic and own a TON of polishes from all brands (Zoya, Essie, Opi, Nars, Sally Hansen etc.). So of course when I was in Sephora and saw a set of the “best sellers” packaged together in a cute little box I was all over it! The colors looked great but as soon as I applied the polish I knew I was in trouble. The polish went on very streaky so it took a good three coats to look somewhat decent. On top of that this polish chips like crazy! I can usually go about a week without chipping ( I always do a base and top coat) but this stuff was coming off after two days. To sum it up if you are looking for cute colors to wear for a couple of days this is for you. If you are looking for a more long lasting polish I would try another brand!

I bought one of these polishes which is a sort of bright/medium pink if you like. It’s called Valentine and it’s really nice, but that’s just the colour. The consistency is really gloopy and it takes ages to dry! I was really disappointed! And I wore it for half a day and it already started peeling off!! I was peeling sheets off my nail, like the polish came off whole and didn’t chip!! It was really strange and disappointing. I will defiantly not repurchase any more of these polishes as I already have 3. ( full moon party, gold fever and Valentine.)

I purchased a sephora nail polish from the sephora store, called countdown to the kiss, a deep navy blue with some sparkle. Well, this color looks fantastic on my toenails (i have rockstar acrylics on my fingers) however, do not apply this color to your nail without a clear undercoat. I had forgetten to buy more, so i just applied it directly to my nail. Horrible idea. When i went to takwe off the polish, my nails were literally STAINED blue. no matter how much i soaked in lemon juice or 100% acetone, it never came off. so i had to wear dark colored polishes for a month or 2 until my nails grew out. other than that, the color is great. it resists chips and lasts a while.

As another reviewer noted, there are a lot of Sephora nail polish reviews out there, but I didn’t find any that fit my description exactly. I have a small bottle of pink polish (speed dating/L06)–it’s not an OPI color–that I purchased on a whim. Let me preface this review by saying that I’ve NEVER used a Sephora-brand product that I liked. I don’t understand why a store that sells such great products has such awful in-house products. I like the color of this product–hot pink–but it is one of the worst nail polishes I’ve ever tried. I use it exclusively on my toe nails and it chips off in a matter of days. Usually, my polish lasts for weeks. I love the small size, which is great for travel, but it doesn’t last at all. Definitely would not repurchase.

It was not well worth the price, I bought it as a treat for my 14 year old and myself in a different colour, she dislikes it, and her brush broke and got tangled, the nail polish did not last a while, Im going to the store today and getting her an OPI instead, for myself also. Very dissapointed in this product.

Really impressed with these polishes. Having read all of the reviews on MUA for Lacura polishes, I wanted to try them. So, when Aldi did their make up sale (they don’t generally sell them, but only have them on sale 2-3 times a year, for a week at a time), I bought 2 of each colour, just in case. And they are all good quality and an incredible value for money. Can’t wait to see if they have different colours on their next make up week.

This is Aldi’s own label nail polish.
I had heard a lot of great things about Aldi’s beauty products for many years but was too much of a snob (or shall I say idiot) to buy any.
Anyway, about a month ago after a friend was raving about Aldi beauty products I went in an bought 1 polish for £1.99 for 10ml.
The colour is very pretty a bright feel-good red.
This is the longest lasting nail polish I ever came across!
It lasted 5 days with no chipping at all and hardly any scratching.
I am a nail polish addict and own about 200 polishes lots of Chanels, OPI and Diors but this little beauty from Aldi beats them all.
This Aldi polish is much better quality than any of the premium brands (I have tried them all) .
I went back to Aldi a week later and bought 3 more polishes and they are superb as well.
This goes to show that you cannot judge a product by its price tag.
The Germans definately know what quality is !

I was really impressed with this nail polish – I wasn’t expecting much, them being so cheap and from Aldi lol. I bought one in classic red, which is a classy dark red. I only needed one coat for an opaque colour, which is impressive in itself, as I hardly ever use just one coat. Usually if I wear nail polish to work – especially dark colours, it chips and looks terrible afterwards. This one didn’t though! I’m so excited to find a polish that is great in itself – great colour, chip-resistant – and the added bonus of being such good value for the price. I’m definitely going to pick up a few more the next time I’m in Aldi 🙂
EDIT – the nail polish turned gluggy and too thick to use, after only a couple uses – I guess you get what you pay for.

I bought one of these in shade 405, a wonderful dark seductive red. It’s become a staple of my VAST nail polish collection. It goes on very smooth and dries nicely, 2 coats and it’s perfect, some people could get away with one. the color itself is such a classic and the formula is great. you can’t beat this stuff and I plan on picking more up next time I am at the Aldi!

Colors are 406 Salsa Red, 402 Cherry Red, 405 Classic Red, 104 Rum Raisin, 107 Pure Pearl, 800 Crystal Glow. $1.49 at Aldi. All are made in France except 406 Salsa Red which is made in Germany. They come in a shrink wrapped box. I threw away the plastic and recycled the paperboard box and insert. I guess since it comes from overseas the boxes prevent breakage.
The nail polish seemed fresh and easy to apply and not thick and old like it had been on the shelf a long time. I put on two coats since that makes my manicure last longer but you could get away with one coat even with the Cherry Red if you apply carefully (not esp streaky).
I will followup with how long it lasts.

The Lacura brand nail polishes available at my local ALDI (discount grocery chain in the midwest) for $1.49 each are THE BOMB! I have quite a few nail polishes and usually wear OPI or other “professional” quality polishes but I have to say that the Lacura brand polishes are just as good at a fraction of the price. My favorite so far is the dark, vampy red, I believe the color name is “cherry red”. I think there are only about 5 colors to choose from, and they are all pretty and “safe”, but the quality is outstanding and the price is dirt cheap. If you like reds and office friendly neutrals I would definitely give these a try! They apply well (2 coats to bottle color, no streaks) and are very chip resistant, as good as anything else I’ve worn! They are, however, quite overpackaged in the store. They come in a celophane wrapped box that I could do without. Overall a wonderful product and I will purchase again, especially if new colors become available.

Theese are on top, offering all kinds of shades, sheen, shimmer, matte well whatever you want.
The light ones, like negligee or romantique, are gorgeous, the darker colors have perfect pigmentation so one layer could be enough without leaving streaks.
A little goes a long way so the polish really lasts long time. They have nice shine, so if not absolutely necessary, you could go without top coat. Their Shiney though is a dream, leaving the nails looking WET.
Finish of with the Solar Speed Spray and you are set for the next week or two.

I do love CND. I think their formula has absolutely the best application I’ve ever tried, like buttah. Unfortunately, I do NOT like their Colors and Effects line, at all. Among other reasons the major one is that they’ve used them to slap a HUGE price increase on their products. From their previous mid-level prices they’ve jumped to $9 for Color and $11 for Effects. If I want to spend $20 (plus S&H of course) on one shade, I’ll buy RBL or Lippmann or Illamasqua and still spend less. I’ve bought every thing I want from the much ravaged core line so who knows if I’ll ever purchase again? Only if they add more shades to their core line. And for those of you that think you can’t/wouldn’t like a brown polish…Cuppa Joe. Try it.
My other squawk about CND is that often, my bottles aren’t quite full.

CND is amazing stuff! I love China Glaze very very much & am very true to it until this stuff hit my nails. So now this is equal to my China Glaze. It doesn’t last as long as CG but the colors are awesome, the effects colors you can mix with other colors. I LOVE IT!!!!!

I have this in Clearly Pink and I love it. It’s the perfect french manicure shade for me, a milky pale pink which just washes out the colour of my nail bed a little to give a really polished look. I always use it with a fast drying top coat, because as others have mentioned the drying time is not great. On the other hand that does allow you to get a really smooth finish regardless of skill level. I will definitely be trying other colours in the line.

You gotta admid, CND has one of the most beautiful color selection for their nail polishes. This is the only reason why I keep repuchasing, despite the absurd fact that the polish never dries. Ever. I mean, seriously, a week ago I gave in and bought the serenity shade, which is so beautiful for a natural and groomed look, apllied 2 coats (without a top coat) at 2pm, managed to spoil it a bit during the day and still woke up with sheet marks all over my nails the next morning. I strongly advise to always use a top coat over this nail polish. Super Shiney from CND won’t work, it doesn’t dry as well, it has to be something else, something that actually does the job. No matter what, I’ll still repurchase, I can’t help it because they come up with all these beautiful new colors..

I bought 2 kits consisting of 3 nail polishes in each kit and I’m disappointed with all of the polishes. It takes forever for the polish to dry and even when its dry (waited 2hrs +), it still chips very easily within 10 hrs of applying it.
The colours I have to say, is quite pigmented (deep velvet and rich ruby) and the finish is quite glossy but as it doesnt dry on me, I will not be wasting my money on any more CNDs

I love jordana polishes so much! Ive had some of mine for years and they haven’t dried. Although some seem to be on the sheer side with a couple extra coats its perfectly fine. They also dry pretty quickly and are really inexpensive

They do require about three coats, but who cares. That takes like 30 extra seconds so I’m not bothered at all by that. Jordan’s Grape is so great, its the only NP aside from top coats that I’ve repurchased again and again. It’s a cool, mid toned, berry shade that leans plummy. Its chic, appropriate in most any situation where you can wear polish. So inexpensive, $1.00 here, and yet smooth, non streaky, chip resistant (I always wear a topcoat as well). Great mid width brush, not too wide. Looks more costly, perfect Fall shade, big favorite of mine.

Bought this nail polish in a colour called purple dynamite. In the bottle it is a beautiful pinky purple colour but on my nails it turned a red pink colour……just weird. It is very thin and I had to apply 3 coats. The only good thing is that it dried fast and the price is right $2.00. Will not purchase again.

I love Jordana’s “Blush Shimmer!” I have 2 back up bottles of this color — and this is something I almost never do. First, the price can’t be beat. $1.99/bottle! The packaging is a little plain, but it’s the product inside that counts, isn’t it?
When I can’t decide what color to paint my nails, I go for Blush Shimmer. The application is smooth as butter and aside from occasional streaking And rare bubbling (at least in my experience) – you can usually get away with just one coat. If your application turns out a bit streaky and you don’t feel like applying a second coat – just swipe your favorite quick dry topcoat over your nails, and presto! Problem solved!
The polish (as well as the majority of Jordana polishes I own) lasts at least 5 days with no chips. The secret is to use a good topcoat. I use Jordana’s Quick Dry Topcoat (see my review) and also Revlon’s Quick Dry Topcoat. I prefer Jordana’s topcoat, but it is often sold out at my favorite store. It adds a beautiful shine and strengthens your manicure. Trust me, this will make your home manicures last and last!
Blush Shimmer is a lovely pink/nude color with a bit of shimmer for some gorgeous kick. I’ve seen swatches online and they really don’t do the color justice. Neither does the way it looks in the bottle. This is a color you must try and (I hope) you’ll fall in love with it as much as I have. Happy painting!

In a word, terrible. Thin, streaky, and takes forever to dry. Chips easily. just noting good about these. I just have nothing good to say about these, sure they are cheap, but it takes three coats to get coverage, then takes hours to dry. I’m sitting here two hours post polish and its still tacky.

By far my favorite nail polish out there, it’s cheap, the wand doesn’t come off the cap and and the colors are gorgeous, have a great range of tones and textures and cover greatly (at least for the ones that are supposed to).

I love these polishes! I have a set with 20 mini’s and four full sized ones. The brush tapered so it’s so easy to brush on. They dry quickly, don’t bubble or pool. And they last about six days on me. Highly recommend if you can get your paws on them!

I got an 18 piece mini nail polish gift set from Shoppers Drug Mart on clearance for $10 (originally $40!!) so I was very pleased to try out these slightly more expensive nail polishes at a cheaper price.
The back says that the set contains a mixture of creme, shimmer, and sheer polishes though it doesn’t state exactly which polishes belong to each formula or group. It also says to always start with a base coat, apply 2 coats of nail colour, and to always finish with a top coat.
Unfortunently the colour names come on the box but not on the bottom of the actual polishes. I wrote the names on reinforcement stickers (for when the holes on holepunched paper rips) and they fit perfectly on the bottom. I do like the colours but some look a little different once on nails. I do love the packaging as well as the brush.
The 18 colours & brief description of each:
ILLUMINATED AQUA- a shimmery sea blue or celeste type of colour.
SPARKLER – a dark blue marine colour but not sparkly despite it’s name.
TRASH GLAM – very fine green and gold shimmers in sheer green nail polish
FALLING STAR – very fine silver glitter that reflects rainbow colours but mostly just clear polish once applied
WRONG SO RIGHT – one of those chrome colour nail polishes that looks different depending on the angle you’re seeing it at. The colour looks purple and gold in the bottle but on the nail looks like a sheer green/blue colour with fine gold shimmers and purple undertones.
SUGAR COOKIE – looks like your typical pink for a french manicure except with small silver glitters. The pink comes off very sheer and even with 3 coats you mostly get just the glitter and less colour.
FILTHY RICH – has the most colour payoff of all 18 colours!! It’s a beautiful shimmery/metallic gold (more on the silver side than the yellow side) You can honestly get away with 1 sheer coat of this colour when it comes to colour because it’s so opaque!!
TRUST FUND – a shimmery deep almost berry red. Perfect for the transition between fall and the beginning of Christmas season!
CANDY CANE – has a glossy look that kind of reminds you of candy!! It’s a red almost hot pink type of colour but not shimmery whatsoever.
BERRY COBBLER – a dark berry colour that’s kind of vampy! Perfect for fall!
RSVP – a creamy light purple/pink colour with dark purple undertones.
GOLD RUSH SPARKLE – tiny gold sparkle strips with very fine silver glitter. You do get quite a lot in 2 coats.
VELVET RUST – I don’t feel like the velvet part suits the name because it’s a shimmery/metallic copper colour. Very opaque in 2 coats.
VERY VIXEN – similar to berry cobbler but darker and more on the purple side. Looks like an almost-black-purple in the bottle. Opaque in 2 coats.
KALEIDOSCOPE HAZE – looks like a multi-purple glitter colour in the bottle but does not look like that on the nails. Instead it comes out as many small black circles and some silver ones. The clear polish that keeps the glitter together has a slight purple sheen/undertone that is A LOT more visible in the bottle.
SAILORS BLUE – a dark ocean blue that reminds you of the ocean at night. It has sheer purple undertones that are more visible in the bottle and not that visible on your nails.
GET NOTICED – your typical small silver glitter. You get lots in 2 coats.
PURPLE PASSION – a very opaque dark purple with a slight sheen to it.
OVERALL:
I have swatched all colours on white paper but haven’t tried them all on my nails. I will update on each colour description/appearance, and whether or not it’s opaque in 2 coats after I use them on my nails. I always use topcoat on nail polish so I can’t really judge it’s durability unless it exceeds 5 days chip free.

I bought “Infinity and Beyond” last week and was all excited for some festive nails.
It was so thick and goopy that it was basically unusable. In the bottle it was glitter suspended in a light blue base, but on barely any of the glitter showed up. It was almost impossible to get it to look smooth on my nails and I gave up and took it off. I won’t be using it again. It was also pretty expensive, so I am really disappointed.

My cousin gave me a bottle of Filthy Rich – a nice silvery-gold metallic.
I had never tried this brand before and I was very impressed by this nail polish.

Packaging:
The polishes in the line mimic the general design of ORLY polishes. They have a long black rubberized handle with a slight inward curvature. The bottles are clear glass with four distinct edges – these and their corners are rounded off – and there is a bit of roundness to each of the sides. These design features make the bottles very comfortable to hold in my hand while opening and the opening of the bottles is very easy overall. Each polish is labelled with a sticker on the bottom for the colour, and there’s a large white Q stamped on the top of the cap. Where the packaging lacks a bit is in the brush. It works well for me but the brush overall does look a bit cheap in comparison to the rest of the design as the bristles are not cut evenly (some bottles are more pronounced than others in this, but they all seem to have that same unevenness). This doesn’t seem to affect application for me. The brush used is long and slender, but I feel like it’s just slightly too slender for its length and could benefit from a bit of added width, but overall I have no significant issues with the brush with these polishes.
Formula:
I would estimate that I’ve purchased and tried nearly half of the currently available polishes in the line and I’ve been happy with all of them. A few are a bit iffy in the formula but they all produce results I am happy with. I have (and will) reviewed the polishes I currently own and so info on the formula for specific shades can be found in those reviews. The line has a nice mix of colours as well as finishes – creams, metallics, shimmers, glitters, and a few jellies (I’d say that Green Meadows, mentioned below, could be considered a cross between a cream and a jelly, and with two coats it’s 95% opaque, 100% opaque with three). They are also introducing gels, but I’ve never tried those (from any brand) so I can’t really give any thoughts on thsoe. I’m sure many of these are rehashes from the ORLY line itself but Sally’s locations aren’t as numerous or easy to access as Shoppers locations, so I’m fine with buying the Canadian offspring even if its colours aren’t completely unique. Most of the polishes have a thinner consistency that makes spreading easy, and most are opaque in two coats.
Performance:
Aside from a few somewhat iffy bottles the polishes perform very nicely. As mentioned they go on opaque fairly easily and they also spread nicely. I only thinned out two upon purchase, and one was likely only in need of thinning out because it has been used as a tester by others (as evident by a crusty layer around the opening when I opened it at home). Even the somewhat trickier ones I’ve tried still produce an end result that looks smooth and even, only the more metallics tend to go on a bit brush-strokey. All dry down glossy and retain the gloss well. Wear seems about the same as other brands for me, I usually get 4-7 days of wear without chips and only minor tip wear (unless application error on my part or damaged nails).
Bang for your Buck:
14ml/0.48 oz for $10.00CAD at Shoppers Drug Mart, and sometimes they will be on sale for about &8CAD. This is definitely a pricier offering, although most who shop at Shoppers will know that Shopper’s brands are often on the pricier side compared to other drug stores. Seems to be similar in price and product amount as brands such as OPI, so it’s definitely not a big splurge.
Final Thoughts:
Overall Quo by Orly is turning out to be one of my favourite polish brands, and I am eager to give the parent brand a try. Aside from a somewhat lackluster brush it excels in the other areas, of course with a few polishes here and there that aren’t as great as the others, but all are very workable and produce a great finish. Definitely recommended, and hopefully they will extend the colour range further and include some of the seasonal colours as permanent additions.

Got a package of 18 mini-size bottles of Quo polish for $42 at SDM. So far my favorite colors are Purple Daydream (neon cool pink with sheen–so bright and fun), Love Game (burgundy with blue-purple metallic sheen), and Cream Pop (bright coral red creme). Any of these would be great toenail colors. I also like the Steel Heart, a dark metallic grey that’s perfect for a darker fingertip polish that I can wear with my ultra-pale skin without looking Goth.
The 18-pack is a good mix of cream, metallic (subtle to frosty), and drab colors. My only complaint is there are no true purples, only a few with purple tones. The set also includes a matte white and a clear pink for French manicures. There aren’t a lot of
Worst color is Green Meadow (a transparent teal – barely shows even against my ultra-pale skin tone). It’s the only true “dud” in the pack.
Wear: Used these polishes on my toes all summer and they wore well without any base or topcoat, lasting 5-7 days with no chipping, and 2-3 weeks with minor touch-ups. The wear is comparable to Opi polishes.

I got tired of paying so much for gel manicures, and decided to experiment with polish and ditching the nail salon altogether. Although I appreciated how well they shaped my nails, they cut my cuticle most times and frankly I just never felt the experience was worth the money. Plus they never had the light, pinkish white color I wanted. Which brings me to this polish. I actually went to the superstore to get a brand name one, but I was shocked at how expensive that brand was! So I found this for under $2.00. It’s beautiful! I thought the brush was fine, but I don’t know any different. I did use a base coat (Sally Hansen), 3 costs of polish with almost enough patience to mostly dry between coats, then a top coat of that same Sally Hansen product. So far, so good! I have very short nails and I wear gloves if I am working. So I am hoping this lasts several days. My cuticles are not throbbing, the color is much prettier (Satin Ribbon) than any gel I ever got, and this whole deal (polish, base/top coat, nail file) cost less than a drive-through lunch. This is such a much nicer way to go than the salon. I will update this review in a few days to let you know how it wears, but so far, even with my non-existent manicure skills, I really love this polish!

This is the 1st time I’ve used Pure Ice. I’ve seen it forever, they have many glitters and strong colors. I thought Rumors was a welcome surprise in their line.
I purchased #919 Rumors, a crème mauve . Rumors is easy to apply, opacity is great, it covers well in 2 coats. The brush is thin, but it’s easy to control.This polish is thin on the brush, but it’s easy to handle. A top coat of Seche Vite gives it a hard, glossy finish.
The Pure Ice polishes are a true bargain, less expensive than the name brands, but great quality! Made in USA, no parabans, etc. I highly recommend!

I used to be a hard-core believer that if something cost a lot of money, it had to be great! So with that mindset, I would only purchase very exclusive high-end nail polish…..over the years, I have spent a small fortune on my nail polish collection. One day, I was out shopping and I seen a lady wearing the most gorgeous color of nail polish…..I didn’t have a chance to ask her what the color and brand of her polish was, but I committed that color to my memory. From that point on, every where I went, I was on the search for that color. Several months went by with no luck on finding this elusive polish. One day I just happen to run into Walmart for something, and decided to take a look at their nail polishes, and I came to the Pure Ice polishes and BAM…..there it was!!! I had finally found that gorgeous color! I was so happy, I came home and immediately painted my finger and toenails. That was a couple of years ago, and I’m still buying this brand of polish. I make sure to use a good base coat and a few coats of a very good top coat, and my polish lasts anywhere from 7 to 10 days with little to no chipping. The one thing I don’t really like about Pure Ice nail polish is the paint brush…..it’s thin and skimpy. I think they could do a lot better in the brush department. Outside of that, they are great…… but for the price ($1.97) I’m not going to complain too much!

From reading the reviews, it looks like this nail polish is a hit or miss. For me, it was a big hit. First time i used this brand and for 1.97, I was already convinced it was going to be much. I was so wrong. Using mostly high end polish and not having too much success w staying power, this little nottle was a gem for the price. I am on day three with no chips. That’s a long stay for me, using high end polish, much less a 1.97 bottle. I have been cleaning, without gloves, and I cannot believe the staying power. I love reds and I picked up the Wear Red color and was hoping it would end up looking red, as the color even under store lights looked coral. When applied it turned out looking a some what dark coral. Beautiful color and makes my hands look very pretty w my skin tone being medium color. I applied Sally Hansen Complete Care as my base coat, then the color, then I applied Revlon Extra Life No Chip Top Coat, then finished w Sally Hansen Big Kwix Dry Top Coat. Could all this be the magic cocktail for the staying power I am getting in the color? Who knows….I just know that after cleaning and day 3, my polish looks amazing. When I applied the color, I was so surprised that it went on very smooth and the color was rich looking. I could have gotten away w using that one coat, but applied two. I’m telling u, my YSL doesnt stay on this long before chipping sets in. I will definitely be going back for more colors. I was amazed in a good way.

I bought the clear/green glow in the dark polish for Halloween, and even though it looks a ghastly-corpse green yellow clear on the nails when worn by itself, this makes a WONDERFUL top coat.
Seriously, if I apply this over any other nail polish it makes it last a long time on the nails! I really like it so I recommend this one as a perfect top coat.

When possible I purchase a Pure ICE polish. These are mostly wonderful colors. I have not had much issues so far with them, and their SuperStar white polish is my go to for French tips and white backgrounds. I am not too big on the color Scream (a blue/turquoise color) because it has no depth once it dries, but it does make a good color for blends and designs. I also have tried the matte top coat, not expecting much because I really was unsure of the matte finish, and I fell in love. One simple thin layer and you have your matte look. It dries quickly too.

I got this polish in color Nero (black).
It goes on very smooth and truly opaque in one coat. It dries fast, 20 minutes top. The finish is very shiny, good without a topcoat.
The base is the must otherwise your nails will be stained. The staying power is beyond average. I couldn’t make it last for more than 3 days before it starts chipping.
I’m not ready to change my polish every three days, so I won’t buy it again.

GOSH is my favourite brand of Polish. CRUELTY FREE and beautiful coverage and shine. I have Nero, 02 Frosted Gold, 554 Gold, 618 Tilted Blue, 632 Night sky and impressed by them all. The Nero polish is great for stamping and it covers so well in 1 coat. I check the GOSH display every time I go to Shopper’s. On sale lately and the displays don’t always seem to be restocked, so am worried they are going to be discontinued.

I picked up this polish on a whim, despite having no experience with this brand. I was looking for a neutral similar to Essie’s sheer colors, and I chose this one in Silk. Application was super easy and even, and I had to wait only a minute between coats with no dragging. Not a bubble in sight.
Two coats gave me that perfect natural manicure look, and W O W the shine on this stuff! Almost felt like a waste to use a shiny topcoat. Similar lasting power as OPI, if not better. Easily half the price of OPI and Essie where I live. Recommended!

Honestly one of the best nail polishes I have ever tried, and I’ve tried a LOT. From barry M, to essie, gosh nail polish lasts for so long and is so glossy. And the best part is that it dries SO QUICK. Whenever i put one of their nail polishes on, I get so many compliments and everybody thinks I’ve done my nails at the salon! Such a good product.

So first off it has a thin short brush that doesn’t hold very much product and I didn’t find the colour to be very strong. It takes quite a few layers and it seems to dry kinda tacky. I won’t be buying anything else in this series but I don’t hate it enough to throw it out yet.

Just like cactus2342 – I bought the color “Chic Peek” online – and it’s a very old color in the ULTA nail salon glitter line. I saw it on a YouTube video and hunted the color down on ebay. It’s one of my go-to darker nailpolishes because it’s not TOO dark?
Even though the formula is old, the bottle was brand new and the formula is smooth. This color needs 2-3 coats but I still love it. It’s like a light coffee cream color. So pretty. With a top coat – it sets and is good to go. I never rate polishes on wear/chip because I am super rough with my hands and most polishes chip for me after a day and half.

I purchased about 5 or 6 of the Ulta brand “Salon Formula Nail Laquer”. I’ve had them for about five years now and have used most of them up/had them dry out and threw them away except for one. They lasted me for about 3 years before they dried up. I still used them up until a year ago before finally, and sadly, throwing them out. There was one that I hardly ever used and it didn’t dry up at all yet, so I still have it and use it. All in all these last a long time.
I have other brands such as Nicole by OPI, OPI, Essie, and Lechat. I can compare them. The Ulta one’s staying power surpasses OPI and Essie and is tied with Lechat. The Nicole lasts a bit longer. The color payoff of the Ulta nail polish is the same as Nicole, OPI, and Essie. The Lechat is worse, it takes approximately 3 coats for the perfect density of color so you can’t see your nails underneath. All the others take approximately 2 coats. The price of the Ulta nail polish is the best of all of them. I got all my Ulta nail polishes during a sale where they were $2 each. I also used a $3.50 off of $10 coupon and got them even cheaper. I would definitely repurchase them. They are salon quality at a better price.
As a side note, they almost always look twice as good with a clear coat of nail polish over them. Otherwise the appear to be more matte and dull looking.

Some background…I can’t wear nail polish. Or I can, but my nails break super fast with polish. I also work stocking and volunteer with animals and clean a lot a home, so I never have polish that lasts very long anyway. Generally I just do my toes or especially my kids nails. I saw the color in Indigo-go Girl, and though it’s all glittery, it is pretty and I knew the kids would love it. (I love it too). But since I really can’t wear polish I don’t want to spend a lot of money on mine or the kids polish. So I got this while there was a $2 sale also. And I use the store coupons so it’s even less. I picked up Lilac-ing You and Tutu Cute as well.
I tried the Lilac first, and I did find it was a little streaky and a little thick on applicaion even though it seems watery in the bottle. It could be because I mixed a little of another nail polish color in the bottle to make it less pink, or maybe because it’s a lighter color. But it seemed to dry ok, more smooth and even and it even was pretty shiny. It only took two coats. I put the glitter on top of one nail and it looks great. I don’t expect it to last since no polish does on me, so for that I think under $2 is a good deal. I see pretty nail polishes that are $10 and up and I get tempted but I definitely should stick to things like this.
I don’t think I’d pay the full $6 for it. Maybe just because it’s not high on my list of wants, but I also think it’s about Sally Hanson quality, but it costs more normally.
I recently picked up Bam-blue-zled and Vintage Violet as well. 🙂

This review is for the salon formula nail lacquer line. I bought a few because it was on sale for $2. Don’t like the brush. Applies somewhat streaky. Not opaque (especially the yellow one in the color: Sun-Sational). Some of the lighter colors like the yellow and baby pink takes about 3 coats. I don’t mind the 3 coats but it chipped on me within a day. I don’t have that problem with most polishes, so it’s not my top coat. I will not repurchase. I feel like it is a waste of time to apply these polishes, if i have to change it in 3-4 days. I usually like to wear a polish for at least 7 days before changing it. Changing nail polish every 3-4 days can be damaging to the nails.

This is for the color “Chic Peek” which is a sheer brown with silver microglitter. The formula is a bit thick, and I have to wait longer than usual between coats. But it’s a really nice color and I look forward to using up the bottle. Use 3-4 coats to get the bottle color.

Color: Devious. It’s a dark purple. Looks great. Covers in one coat. However it chips like the devil. I tried various brands of top/base coats that I have in my stash and it made no difference. Really a shame because the color is terrific.

Essie Nail Polishes come in a variety of shades and colors with very cute and creative names. However, that’s about the only upside to this nail polish line. I have tried three or four different shades and had the same results with all of them. They go on very streaky with dragging and pulling and require at least three coats to even out color. I love the shape of the bottle, however, the brush was very thin and hard to work with. These polishes, IMO, are highly over-priced (8.50+) for what amounts to a drug store polish result. TBH, I’ve had better results with some cheaper drug store lines. Therefore, I will not be buying Essie again and would not recommend it. For the price I’d recommend OPI or Zoya.

Soooooo,,,,,yeah overpriced and color isn’t what looks like. I was really excited to try out this brand. Super cute packaging and had read wonderful things about cool colors, well they aren’t TRUE. I purchased 2 for 15 during Ulta’s beauty steals and have returned 2 colors as once they dry they look nothing like in the bottle. The polish is very, very thin. Even with 3 coats the colors are meh. The only color I have tried that is good is “British Racing Green.” At $15.00 a pop normally not worth the price. I will stick with Essie and China Glaze.

Wow, seriously this is the worst nail polish i have ever used that was not like 20 years old. I was so disappointed because the color is great, I bought “Thrill Seeker” just today and it is super bright and wonderful, but the awesome color doesn’t matter when it looks like crap. It was so goopy and impossible to apply in an even coat. I’m not wasting my money on this brand again.

I bought this nail polish today for only $2 at Sally’s Beauty Supply. I got it in the color Goth, a shiny black color with tiny specks of gold all over.
The things I really love about this polish:
1) The fact the formula is super liquidy and also very opaque in color. With two coats I obtain full color opacity on my nails.
2) The brush of the applicator is very thin and small, which makes it very easy for me to paint my nails with a few strokes and almost no mess at all.
3) It dries super fast, so I didn’t have to wait much in between coats!
Amazing quality for price, so easy to use. Will definitely repurchase

Orly Nail Polishes are sold in a variety of places (online, Sally Beauty, CVS, Ulta to name a few) and have a very wide range of colors and finishes. Price-wise I have seen them in the $5+ range online all the way up to $7.99 for core colors. I’ve tried several shades and finishes from shimmer to pearl to foil to glitter and have had application problems with most. In some cases the consistency of the polish was very thin and in other cases very gloopy and sticky. I’ve had drying time issues with quite a few where, even with Seche Vite, the polish is dentable several hours later. As to the application process, with most I have tried there has been tip pulling, streaking, bald patches, and cuticle pooling. I think I’ve tried one so far that has applied well. Also, I have noticed that while the finish is very shiny on day #1, by a couple of days later it has dulled significantly even with SV. The Orly brush seems to be a little on the thin side but the rubberized handle is the best thing about this polish. All in all, for the price of these, I would expect a better application and formula so I doubt that I will be adding too many Orlys to my stash.

I’m obsessed with nail polishes and have had a lot of brands (OPI, Bourjois, Catrice, Maybelline…), but this brand is by far the best if you include the price of course. If I put base coat and top coat it lasts up to one week and in most cases even longer. The brush is amazing so it’s very easy to apply. The colours to choose from are numerous and they constantly change them too.

I bought about 7 from the new lines. The ones without the glitter work well. The ones with the glitter are great but after a few months, they become thick and even after using nail polish thinner, they never really work the same.

I’ve sampled pretty widely from the new HC nail polish line (the one that came out about a year ago) and have been very impressed overall with the color selection and formulas. I have particularly fallen in love with the Sprinkles line, and am sad that that they have already discontinued a few from that line to make way for more glitters. These polishes have a thinner formula, but apply very well and last a good while on me. $4 is a little pricey for such a small polish (0.26 oz) but I feel like the unique colors make up for it. I only wish that these were available at other stores rather than being Walmart exclusive :/ I think I have 9 total, but my favorites are Gummy Green, Sugar Rush, Black Tie Optional and Bite of Black. There are still a few more than I would like to get, but I don’t get to Walmart all that often. Hoping these become more widely available!

I love the colors in the ‘Crush on’ line, even colors I don’t normally wear like the yellow. But the formula is very thing, so it takes multiple coats and the wear is awful. There is tip wear almost immediately, and it even peels from the cuticle end of the nail.
I’ve tried it with different base coats and even clear top coats, and the problems persist. I can only hope that they improve it because I am in love with Crush on Lava and some of the others like the hot pink and the fluorescent green.

I got this in 91 – not hot pink, but barbie pink nails with red undertones, the exact shade I was looking for! Canmake has a large range of colors, from minimal shimmer, no shimmer, to glitter and heavy glitters! So many to choose from!
I wasn’t a nail polish regular user but this got me hooked. I can’t stop staring at the pink on my nails lol. Yes this is a bit fast-drying and gets kinda gluey after a while of opening the cap bottle, but I don’t use nail polish often so this should be alright. Plus I prefer small bottles coz nail polishes are likely to dry up – why invest so much on bigger bottles when they will all dry up?
Definitely will get a few more from Canmake!

I purchased 3, 1 in cream, 1 in glitter and the last one in super glitter meant mainly for the nail tips.
They work fantastically well when first purchased, fast drying, does not streak, nice range of colours, not expensive etc. However I noted that they dry up very quickly. If I use them too sparingly, they will thicken up and become quite unusable. Prefer to stick back to other brands.

omg I think I’m in love! I’m not a big nail polish person but after seeing fuzkittie blog about this I went to ichibankao and ordered the 11, 80, and 93. So I got them in the mail yesterday and was so excited to try them out. I love how fast drying they are. I used two coats of 93 and it was such a nice pretty jelly hot pink color; it looks edible like strawberry gloss. Then on top I added a coat of 11 to glitter it up, oh man, now I can’t stop staring at my nails. I also added a clear top coat which sealed everything and made it smooth. I was afraid I was gonna feel the glitter but it is very smooth and can’t tell the glitter is their unless you look. Oh and it hasn’t chipped yet and I’m amazed because usually my polishes chip within the first hour lol.

As of today I own nine of E.LF.’s nail polishes and I must say that I love them all!
Pros:
– Extremely affordable price (especially if you’re lucky enough to find them on sale.)
– Gorgeous shades, who stay true to the bottle.
– Doesn’t chip easily considering the price (they last three to five days without chipping for me, which my more expensive nail polishes do too.)
– The drying time is normal – not fast nor slow.
– Some of the more vibrant shades will only need one coat of polish, if you’re a bit careful while you apply it. Amazing!
Cons:
– The shades shown on the website is not how the polish will look in the bottle and on the nails. If you search for swatches before purchasing that problem is easily sold though.
– Sometimes you can be unlucky and get a bad brush, which has hairs sticking out everywhere and overall doesn’t feel right. This has only happened to me once though.
– Don’t buy the matte topcoat, it’ll only mattify your nails 50% of the time.
Overall I really like these polishes and think they’re great, if you want a wide range of colours, but don’t want to empty your bank account. I’d definitely recommend them!

I LOVE this newly formulated polish!! For reference, I bought Nude, Mango Madness, Flirty Fuschia and Sea Escape. The shades are all true to the bottle and in ONE coat. I love that the new formula is Toluene and Formaldehyde free so there is virtually NO smell while applying or lingering in the air after.
The brush is a nice size and holds just the right amount of polish to do a nail at a time with no streaks. I have not encountered slow drying time at all in my experience with this brand- I actually find it to dry a lot faster than other, more expensive ones. The finish, when dry, is nice and shiny, though I do always use a chip free top coat to make it last longer. There are A LOT of shades to choose from, ranging from trendy to classic. This brand and formula is a great way to build a polish “wardrobe” without breaking the bank. I am very pleased and highly recommend this nail polish.
UPDATE: 6/5/2013: This is my first update where I am removing lippies! :0( For the first week or so, I loved this polish. Now I am finding the more times I use it, the streakier and thicker it gets. I am trying to remedy this by keeping in the door of my fridge, but I haven’t seen much improvement. When I do get it to apply without streaking, the colors and coverage are lovely; it’s getting there that’s the pain. So while I would still repurchase because of the price and shade options, I will be prepared to take twice as long to get good results…errr…

Summation of these polishes: gorgeous pigmented colors, streaky and difficult to apply, chips easily and chips fast. The longest they’ve gone without chipping is one day; the shortest is 10 minutes after (though considering the other reviews about dry time, I probably didn’t wait long enough).
I did buy 3 polishes for 50 cents each at a sale, so you really get what you pay for. Save your money and invest it in a better quality polish.

I’m very impressed with this. I was looking for a bright red for summer, and almost bought Chanel’s “Dragon,” but stumbled across MAC’s “Shirelle” and decided to give it a go. The formula is fantastic — I only needed one coat, it dried extremely quickly and went on smoothly, with no clumps. It looks professionally done, and I have MAC to thank. Easy, beautiful, nice finish — I couldn’t have asked for more. I will definitely be purchasing more MAC nail polishes in the future!
UPDATE: After using this now several times, I’m a little disappointed. The application and color are wonderful, but it chips SUPER fast. Bummer.

I got this for Christmas, and it is extremely lovely! Two coats lasted me two weeks and barely chipped at all, with no topcoat. The color is gorgeous and I’ve gotten tons of compliments on it. I wish they made a sea foam color though, that would be even better. Will repurchase.
Editing to say that this nail polish chips VERY quickly, although is not nearly as bad as Estee Lauder’s polishes.

It lasts for a very long time. It also lasts on my nails for a long time. They come in many different colors, but I chose black. I have every MAC product made. MAC, clinique, and Bare Escenuals is my three favorite brands, oh yeah and the juicy tubes too fomr Lancome, but the MAc naiol polish barely chips,a nd it looks like a professional nail salon has done it. It has this shiny sheer to it.

Aww, give these little guys some credit. They are quick drying (and I mean really quick drying! I swiped some on a finger at Sephora, walked around the store and it was dry!); the colors are super trendy and there’s a huge variety to pick from; and for those in a hurry/don’t have the patience, one coat is really enough to get a strong burst of color!
The one lippie off is for the price, as many have already mentioned. Other than that, no complaints from me!
By the way, my favorite shade is Passion (L09). It’s a deep coral with some hot pink. Hot!

This is a review for the Sephora Couleur Multi-action product. I was given this as a gift, and I got it in the colour Beige. Its a pale whitish-beige colour and while I would like to wear it as a colour itself, thats not actually what I use this product for – I use it as a base coat under whatever other polish I’m wearing. It says that its a strenthener, hardener and smoothing polish, and I completely agree. I ran out of OPI Nail Envy and decided to use this as my base coat and hardener for a while and love it for that purpose. The beige colour provides a good base for other colours, and my nails are harder than ever (without using some type of hardening product my nails break a lot, so this is a big compliment!)

So I have the same polish as pishtosh.
I loved the colour, it is very different and hard to find. This lasted well for me. Maybe it’s the basecoat though.
I do one coat Revlon Nail Trauma, one coat Revlon Fast Dry Base Coat (I think that’s the name, amazing stuff!). Then it took two coats of this polish to make my nails look nice.
I did this…either sunday or monday, and it is now thursday. Up until yesterday, my nails only had minimal wear at the edges. Today they look rough, but I’ve been picking paint off a can. Sigh, my nails.
I gave it a 4, I’m between three and four but I decided to be nice.
Price is 4. The amount of polish you get for $7cdn is just fooey!
Package quality is 3. I like the brush, the bottle is wonky shaped and doesn’t stand up straight. Maybe I got a bad bottle, but it was the last one this colour.
Would I buy again? Maybe, but I said yes. If i get a gift card or something 😉

My favorite cheap nail polish. Huge range of colors. I use 2 coats of Fiberglass Network by Salon Sciences. Followed with 2 coats of a color (this brand works well). Sometimes a sparkly topcoat, depending on the color. With 2 coats of Sally Hansen Hard as Wraps and then 2 coats Seche Vite. My nails are like gel. I’m a nurse, so this has been the only combination I have found that has saved my nails from splitting into the quick. Since that hurts like heck, I’m grateful for nail polish- pretty or no. And for the price, this line is great to experiment with and find pretty combinations. The few that have been ugly (Irreplaceable comes to mind) I’m ok with throwing them out at this price point.

I think this might be one of the only brands of nail polishes I might ever use! I love how the formula isn’t really gel-like, which I find that those just become a sticky mess. Anyway, when I don’t feel as comitted to one color, I don’t use a base coat. I find that without a base coat, it only takes about two days until it chips, depending on how much your work your hands. But the price is really nice for this quality polish. Maybe it’s just the stores I go to get this [two different Walmarts] but they dont have a lot of color varieties. As for drying, It can dry quick, with a coat of nail dryer.
I conclude, this is probably a great nail polish for people on a budget, and change their nails often so they don’t mind quick chipping.

I really want to like Pure Ice but they just don’t work for me. They have so many cute colors but the formulas are often awful to work with. They also chip super fast even with top/base coat. They’re cheap so I occasionally buy one that catches my eye but there are better nail colors out there for the same price that work a lot better.
