This is very flattering on my medium skin tone and is a beautiful garnet color. The formula is good- I did fine with one coat but two coats looked better. I love the name too.

Beautiful maroon colour, not too brown or purple. Great formula and brush too.

We the Female is one of three reds in the OPI Washington D.C. collection and is the darkest of the three. It’s a really beautiful shade of deep wine-red (OPI describes it as garnet, which is pretty accurate). The formula is really good, so it went on easily without any streaking or patchiness, even on the first coat. I think it would suit most skin tones – it’s the shade that Kerry Washington is wearing in the promotional photos and even though my coloring is much lighter than hers, it looks very flattering on me, too.

Berry-marsala color – rich, classy, mysterious! The color I’ve been longing for (since I missed out on the Chicago collection of Mrs. O’Leary’s BBQ). Not sure what marsala is? It’s a mixture of red, brown, and burgundy; warmer than typical a “wine” color. See the color of her dress in this packaging:
In the store, I didn’t see the berry color hidden within. See, I have Lost on Lombard, love it, have a backup of it, since I love it so much. And honestly, in the bottle, it seemed to be a dupe – which is fine by me, *because I love these colors*. But then, you put in on the nail, and viola, there’s the touch of berry.
Side by side, seem like dupes, but they are not. Lost on Lombard is warmer, has that touch of chili/brick red.
You can see the difference when they are upright.
Formula is fabulous, and almost crellish…. like 1/4 jelly, and 3/4 creme. I think I could have had perfect application in one coat, though I always prefer 2+ coats, depending on the formula.
Who would it be good for? Just about everyone, unless you are very fair and like that dark contrast. I have warm skin, and can’t wear Malaga Wine (too vampire-red, plus it is a huge mess to remove anyway). But this one is absolutely perfect!!! (It’s lighter sister, OPI by Popular Vote, is nice too, although quite different. Think Ginger and MaryAnne.)
If you have been wanting a color like this, you will not be disappointed. I would seriously consider buying a backup of this on the next buy 2 get one free sale at either Ulta or Beauty Brands, using the $3.50 off coupon, too, of course (that way, they wind up being about $5 each). Hope this helps!
