This is beautiful! Bright magenta with blue/purple flash! Awesome for Summer! Shiny with topcoat! Love this!

This is a bright fuchsia polish, with a slightly purple-leaning, hot-pink base, and a strong shimmer that flashes decidedly blue. The formula is okay, though a little thin and a bit runny, and the polish is semi-sheer. This isn’t a huge deal for me, but a lot of people are going to be put off by needing three or more coats to achieve opacity.
Despite being pale and cool-toned, I can sometimes pull off fuchsia polish, but, sadly, not this one. On my hands, this is powerfully overwhelming, makes my hands look extra pale, and the blue flash tends to bring out the blue veins in my hands.
This one has gone in my “give away” box. I think it would work much better on someone with a darker, warmer skintone.

My favourite part of this purple leaning pink shade is blue micro shimmers. Seriously, once you see this shade in the light, you’ll keep on seeking the light so you can admire your nails! No picture of this polish has shown how this stuff looks when it hits the light.
I don’t usually go for girlie reds/pinks with mail colour, I tend to stick with blacks/greys/purples but Raggae to Riches is a perfect compromise and it succeeded in bringing me out of the dark side (well, the dark side of polish..).

Looked great on the pictures but IRL gave me the creeps.
Funny name though…

In the bottle, this is a bright deep fushia/magenta colour with a dual chrome finish. I am hugely disappointed with this particular shade because it does not appear as opaque, rich and most importantly dark as it is in the bottle. I bought it because it seemed unique but its sheer application seemed more like a Revlon n/p which name escapes me now. This is not good enough given the price thought the color is ok. After 2 coats the build up is not opaque enough.
Sorry CG, this does not get a passing grade.

Reggae To Riches (China Glaze), an awesomely bright fuchsia based polish with blue shimmer. I haven’t seen this combo- mostly I’ve come across blues with pink/purple shimmer and purples with pink/blue shimmer- so this was a pleasant addition to the stash.
Application was alright at first with some problems toward the end. At first, the polish is very thin but manages to stay loaded up on the brush which is good but then around the second hand, it gets thick and goopy and needs a kick of thinner to loosen it up. Opacity is okay, but this did take three coats and there is a hint of VNL when the flash hits it. I say this is okay because you really can’t tell, or at least I couldn’t, in normal lighting which is really what counts.
I am curious as to why the island theme when it comes to shimmery fuchsias? Case in point Essie’s Jamaica Me Crazy which has a similar bright fuchsia base to Reggae To Riches.

China Glaze polishes are great. Color selection, color payoff (in general, there are loads of different effects in this line), durability (with gripper base and Seche Vite topcoat especially) and cost are spot-on.
Reggae to Riches is an awesome shade, IMO. A slightly opaque magenta with a blue-purple mica that works on it’s own or over a similar base color. I love dramatic purples and magentas in general, my hair definitely reflects this. 🙂
I love it.

This is a really cool color. I love blue/purple type duochromes like these. Previous reviewers have already described the color very well. It reminds me of Hawaiian orchids – that magenta-purple undertone. I did struggle a bit with application – it took four coats to get depth of color in the bottle and goes on pinker with fewer coats. Even at four coats it could use a purple or pink base to give it that extra “oomph,” so I may try that next time I wear it. However, it is a very sensual, tropical color and I don’t have anything else in my collection quite like it.

Beautiful magenta with definite blue undertones. Unique and long wearing. I am on day 5 with only slight chips and this is after doing dishes several times. (Maybe I should say rinishing dishes for the dishwasher.) The consistency on my bottle was slightly thicker than water so it was somewhat of a challenge to apply. But with careful application it didn’t make a mess and I got full coverage after just two coats. Unfortunately like everything else ChG has gone up in price so I consider it a mid price point, but IMO it is worth the $ for the overall quality, color and wear. I would definitely recommend this polish and the brand overall.

Everyone before me has done a wonderful job of describing this fun color. Love it – it’s a party in a nail polish bottle! I don’t feel it’s too outrageous for fingers, but can’t wait to try it on a pedicure too.
