Black with sparkle. Good quality polish like all of opi. It comes off easily too…you dont have to scrub all kinds of glitter. But it looks a little dull on, needs a shiny topcoat.

My Private Jet is a brown-grey base loaded with holo micro-glitter. The holo effect is only visible is direct, bright light, otherwise it just looks like a silver shimmer polish.
When it originally came out (OPI Brights Collection 2007) the holo was much more pronounced, but I understand that the formula was a lot thinner, so you needed 3-4 coats to build up the opacity. With the new version I only needed 2 coats. There was a rumour that the Infinite Shine version (the more expensive OPI with a silver cap) is a lot more like the original version, but having read sprite26 review it doesn’t seem to be the case.
I must say I quite like this polish as it is. Would I run out to repurchase it? Not sure, but I am glad I’ve bought it.

Hidden, scattered holographic within a browned grey shimmer, or maybe the brown is actually just iridescent. (I think the main picture for this polish above is pretty true to life.) It’s a neutral, but with interesting appeal. Very office friendly, because it’s mainly a quiet grey indoors and in the shade. But in the sun….oooooooh pretty! Sparkle sparkle. To amp up that sparkle, you can always layer a holographic top coat over it.

Formula is similar to the Designer Series. Really, really nice. I use 2-3 coats for density.
This polish is very controversial because of the multiple versions out there. I got this version a few years ago at Beauty Brands. Some people think it’s an icky color. The grey is not flattering on all skintones. But it looks really nice on some. I, too, wish I had the original version, but I’m glad I have this fun little polish.
I don’t see the brown on my nail like I do in the bottle (and I love brown). But that’s ok. It’s fun to wear. And I always like to wear it in winter, when I go to the park on a sunny day. I prefer to wear it with light neutrals, or grey, brown, and black.

I am aware of the fact that there are several versions of this polish out there. Mine is the older version as I have had this in my stash, untried, for about 6 years. I rediscovered it while doing an inventory of my polishes and my only question is, why did I wait so long to try this out?
This is a lovely polish with a chocolate brown base and it is loaded with halo micro glitter of various colors including pink, purple, yellow, gold and green. In indirect light it looks like a pretty chocolate brown but in brighter lights is when the magic really happens as the micro glitter really shines and adds another element to this polish.
The formula is nice, even after sitting in my stash for the last 6 years. It was just the right consistency, not too thick or too runny. The texture was great, applying very smoothly without clumping or bubbling. The first coat was slighly streaky but after the 2nd coat is smoothed out and gave full coverage.
This comes in the standard OPI bottle with their Pro-Wide brush. I do like this type of brush as you can apply your polish with less strokes thus helping to ensure fewer mistakes and brush marks. (There are no brush marks with this polish as the finish is very smooth,)
The prices of the OPI polishes can be a bit more compared to a drugstore polish, but you can find them on sale at various places and times to make them a bit more affordable.
I am unsure about the wear on this one and will update when I have more information in this area.
I would definitely repurchase this one as it is quite lovely.
UPDATE: I am updating on the wear of this polish. I would say that it is pretty good for me. I got about 4.5 days of wear. There were a few chips but nothing really noticable. I am removing this because I am ready to change colors but I could get another couple of days of wear if I really wanted to.

I bought this polish yesterday and I did some research. I can tell that it’s obviously very different from the previous versions. They have gone cheap with the formula by removing the holo effect from the polish. I must say it’s like missing the boom or wow factor.
The nail polish is brown black with stardust kinda shimmer. It would have been better if it was blue black or purple black, which I suppose the holo effect in the previous version was suppose to be. the polish is actually pretty sheer with 1 coat but it didn’t smell strong so that’s a plus. 2 coats it gave me the perfect coverage and it was easy to apply. I do like the color Andi dries quickly. I applied the polish without top coat or base coat because I want to see how long it will last before it starts chipping. I will definitely post an update.
UPDATE: 4th day on the polish starts to grind off from the edges. so I suppose you can get at least 5 days to a week with top coat before it gives in. Not bad.
although I still do like this polish I wouldn’t repurchase since I want to find dupe for the original version. It’s just missing something. It went from an amazing polish to a good or average polish.
Sneaky opi how dare u keep the same name and product number when the polish is completely different.

I have a newer bottle of this and didn’t get the older one where it was much more holo. This is a pretty taupe brown color that reflects the light nicely but the formula is kinda patchy and I had a few bald spots no matter what I did.
Other than the color I am not sure I would buy this again simply because of that fact. It also chipped pretty fast for OPI, within 3 days.

OPI are my favorite polishes, but this one isn’t my favorite. It’s a dark grey/brown color with multi colored shimmer. I got it at a beauty supply store, and I saw it on one of the SA. It looked really good on her, but not so much on my fair skin. I probably wouldn’t repurchase this shade.

Bonniherself’s review got this spot on. I have had this in my stash for a year but have not used until now. I bought it because it looked exciting in the bottle. I now know that there have been a couple of versions. I have the latest version and it is just a boring dull dark brown/grey on the nails, the colour in the bottle is not replicated on nails. Applied well, one coat only and fully opaque. Very smooth to put on. It looks very shiny particularly with a Seche Vite topping. I cannot comment on its durability. I put this on last night and I will be taking it off tonight. I like to look at my nails and get a little thrill (sad I know) but this kind of depresses me. I am a fan of dark polishes ( well all polishes really, I am kind of addicted….,) but this one leaves me cold.

First, I knew they’d changed the formula, and that the polish I was buying was not the original holographic glitter version, which I’m told is gorgeous. I still liked the look of the polish, though, as I like brown polishes and I like glitter/shimmer. In the bottle, this looks like a rich, warm, dark brown with warm shimmer, exactly the sort of thing I enjoy wearing. On the nails, though, it’s a different story, and not a happy one.
The colour is rather muddy, a dark grey-brown. If it was one or the other, it would be better, but it’s just this muddy in between colour. Bleah. The glitter is well-suspended and definitely present, but it’s extremely fine and barely there, more of a subtle shimmer than anything else. The shimmery particles appear to be… gold? Silver? I don’t know, maybe they’re actually prismatic? All of the above? Impossible to tell, unfortunately, no matter what light I use. Top coat improves the appearance of the glitter somewhat, but only a little.
The formula on this is really nice, I must say, and it’s easy to work with. Also easy to remove, no glitter hassles.
I tried this polish a couple of times, trying to see if it would grow on me, but I just find the muddy grey-brown to be really unappealing. I put this in my “give away” bin.

With all of the disappointment I saw over this color…I was plesantly surprised when I got my bottle home. I have the ‘new generation’ and it is a very distinctive color that I really like. If you had the holo version I can see how you would not like this…but if you nver had the holo, this one is still a great color.
