This shade doesn’t do it for me. Cosmo-Not Tonight Honey is a champagne with a pale golden hue (hence, the Honey), I don’t see any rose or pink in it whatsoever. I have medium yellow-orange skin tone and this polish simply disappears on me. I think someone with a different skin tone (cooler) would probably look better wearing this. A plus, for those who can wear this shade, is that you can get it relatively cheap (for OPI) and it’s available as an Infinite Shine.

This is GORGEOUS! It is an apricot or honey toned champagne pearl. Under some lights at night I pick up more apricot, while in daytime I see more caramel tinged pale pink all with a luster of pearls, but the beigey pink kind of pearls. A neutral nudeish shade with loads of life. This is my new default setting when I want more than the sheer pretty “my nails but better” look of Bubble Bath but I don’t want the heavy creamy nude of Dulce de Leche.
I’ve got it on now, second day, not even showing tip wear let alone any chipping. I’ve been cleaning house, washing and chopping up vegetables, cooking, dishes, typing and dealing with a dry itchy winter skin that I’m scratching a lot so it should at least show tip wear.
(edited to add, day 6, no chips, tiny little tip wear on my thumb where I dug into a cardboard box, been giving this polish a serious workout just waiting to see how long it goes before a fail. I have NOT even put another top coat on! This stuff is AMAZING!)
(Edited AGAIN to add: DAY 8: Finally 2 barely visible tiny chips and a tiny bit of tip wear on 2 more fingers but still really presentable. This stuff is cast iron! It should be called Ever Ready Bunny Honey because it just won’t quit!!!! I am removing it today because my nails are outgrowing the polish, there is a big gap above my cuticles now, and I want another shade. I still haven’t put a second coat of my Sally Hansen top coat the Insta Dri no chip stuff and the shine is still shining on.)
Back to original review:
I have it on over 2 coats of Nail Envy Original, and topped off with Sally Hansen’s Insta Dri Anti Chip top coat that I love.
2 coats. Even with one, it covers.
I rolled on both coats thickly to avoid any streaking because that can happen with a pearlized finish, but this worked well. No brush marks, covers evenly.
As another reviewer said, this covers in one coat, and it just looks a tiny bit nicer with 2, but unlike some pearly or shimmery polishes, IT DOESN”T CHANGE COLOUR from the first coat to the second. What you see the first coat, is what you’ll see with 2 coats only richer.
This is an ideal polish for me, because it’s so neutral but has life to it so I can wear it with anything, no matter what colour, and unlike a nude cream it doesn’t look boring or a little bit dirty.

I’ve had my bottle since it came out in 2007,Its one of those I forgot I had lol
I decided to bust this one out today since I haven’t used it in a few years lol its a very nice neutral honey beige with a pearl finish & it takes about 2 coats for it to be opaque,
I like this one a lot and will have to wear it more because whenever I have worn it I always get complimented on how pretty it is & how nice it looks with my skin tone.

This shade just doesn’t do it for me. I think it might be a personal issue, but it reminds me of the color of nail polish my grandma always used to wear! It’s a like a taupe champagne with not enough pink to it and while it has no shimmer it has a lot of shine – almost too much for the color. I think it would be better with more pink or some discernible shimmer, but for me it just looks “old lady.” It’s also not super flattering against my warm, pale skin. This is more of a cool-toned shade.
The polish formula is that high-quality OPI standard, which goes on smoothly, dries quickly and without bubbles, and lasts nicely. You need three coats to get opaque with this shade.

This polish is a very pearly nude beige, a full on cheap looking frosty color. This is one of those polished that you can see brush marks in when you have applied. I don’t know what possessed me to buy this as it isn’t an attractive color when on, in fact looks very dated. It is opaque in 2 coats but shows every mistake in application. Wouldn’t buy this color again but will mix with other polishes to tone down the pearl effect.

Hate it on my hands. Ugly gold. Love it on my toes hoever. So if you bought it and decide not to like it, still try 2 coats on your toes! Somehow it looks great down there, lol. I sent a bottle to my mom and she almost tossed it out, and I talked her into the toe thing, and she too loves it there. Weird… Lasts a loooong time on toes! 🙂

The color is lovely… a frosty, beige-champagne color… but for some reason, I had problems getting this to apply nice & smooth on my nails. OPI is my favorite nail polish brand for the main reason that most of the ones that I own apply and wear beautifully. But not this one. I actually had to do one nail over 3 times because the polish kept “dragging” on that nail for some reason, and when I tried to fix it, it only made the problem worse. Not sure, maybe I got a bad bottle? I also experienced some bubbling on a few nails, too. Then when I had 2 nails chip and peel after a few days wear, I knew I had to review my experience with this polish. I found it a bit disappointing, especially for an OPI polish. Most of my OPI manicures last up to a week (7 days), unless I am unusually rough on my hands that week. I was actually “lazy” the week I wore Cosmo-Not Tonight Honey, so I will have to blame the poor wear on the polish- and not me- this time. 3 stars.

This is such a sophisticated, classic champagne-pearl. I think I’ve owned some variant of this colour for most of my life (literally…I started painting my nails when I was about 7), but I think I never truly had such a beautiful look until I found it in OPI. I swear by this brand and after trying others, I still return to OPI for its superior quality. The colour is great, the coverage is great, and it is easy to apply OPI nail polishes because of the brush and the non-streakiness. I receive compliments everytime I wear this polish and against my NC40 tan Indian skin, it really brings out the bronze undertones. It’s not meant to be a dramatic stand-out but that’s ok, it’s an understated feminine elegant shade. Any OPI lover knows this brand’s products are investments. I work in hospital administration and this shade is one that I’m comfortable wearing very often because it’s quite office-appropriate without ever going out of style.

I was looking for somthing natural looking that I could carry off when I didnt want any colour – but wanted ‘something’. My sister had this and when I tried it was really taken with it. Looks good in the day and in the evening light too.
Two coats is all I need for a good finish and dries reasonably fast.
I am a soft and cool colouring and this polish falls somewhere between natural beige and shell. If you are a soft and warm then it will also work with light peach.
Great all round – am still looking for a matte natural colour, but until then, this will be the one I use.

While this is a really pretty shimmery nude, I feel that it does not compliment my skin tone at all and just blends in too much. As with most OPI polishes though, the application was fantastic.
