A nice, rich, deep green creme that doesn’t ever go into off-black the way a lot of dark polishes can do.
Very opaque, and good formula that self-levels. I thought I might get it in one coat, but my brush technique isn’t quite good enough. That’s all right, though, because the second coat brings out the rich colour fully and smooths into place beautifully.
Very pleased to have this one in my collection. I like it better than almost every other dark green I have.

This is a beautiful grown up green, very elegant. As others have said, its a beautiful dark forest green, its a straight up cream, great for winter, great for whenever you feel the need for a dark vampy nail polish really. I’ll be a bit of a brat and call it a grown up green, the bright greens are fun and bright for summer and weekends, but not always appropriate for every occasion, whereas this dark forest green is something that you could wear on more formal occasions simply because its green, its dark, its not quite black and thus its understated.
The pigmentation on this polish is beautiful, nearly opaque in one coat, but a second coat evens out the colour and deepens the colour. Basecoat, topcoat and you’re good to go. love this polish and will continue to enjoy it for many years to come.

Christmas gone plaid is a very good Opi, and it is perfect for Christmas. The formula is creamy, easy to work with and very opaque. It’s a dark forest green, but it never looks black, which is a good plus in my opinion.

Christmas Gone Plaid is from OPI Gwen Stefani 2014 Holiday Collection. This collection has a total of 18 shades and I pick this one first because the color just caught my eyes. The green is a beautiful deep forest green. It reminds me of Here’s Today…Aragon Tomorrow from OPI Espana 2009 Collection. However Christmas Gone Plaid, the dark green is more noticeable even under natural light than Here’s Today…Aragon Tomorrow. The crème finish is beautiful, very smooth. Reminds me of my Christmas Tree.
Application is very easy. It only takes 2 coats to make it opaque. However, I do suggest a base coat is needed because the pigment can stain your nail bad. Drying time is very quick though. I really love this color as it is very Christmasty but also at the same time, you can wear it during normal night out and it is still an excellent choice.

Christmas Gone Plaid is part of OPI’s Gwen Stefani Holiday 2014 polish collection, and it is a classic forest green creme shade. I love this shade as not only is it festive, but it can also be worn the rest of the year too.
True its not the most original shade out there but the pigmentation and the formula are the best out of all the similar shades that I’ve tried; the polish is really smooth and bubble/streak free to apply, the colour is very rich – it is very nearly a one coater; there are sometimes one or two thin spots with one coat on me, but I’m sure that someone that is better at pointing their nails can get away with just the one coat. Plus the polish dries quickly.
These polishes will last me anywhere between two to four days with only minimal wear. But as I’m a self powered wheelchair user I’m tough on my hands and am always catching my nails, so I can’t really speak for how long lasting the formula is overall.
