This is the PERFECT sheer pinky nude nail polish. It is shiny, non-streaky and overall very easy to apply. I say this because even if you mess up with the painting, it won’t show because it’s difficult to see where the polish begins and ends. I’m not saying this is a bad thing though. I love the sheerness of it. It’s ALMOST like a top coat but not quite because of the slight milky pink tint it has. This is a very classy, my-nails-but-better colour. I decided to remove my gel nails and use this instead. It makes my hands look so pretty and girly. Same with my toes. It’s pricy, but so worth it.

A very subtle colour which I can wear during the day even when not glammed up. It does require at least three coats to get any real depth, and it seems very thin compared to the many other OPI polishes I have used, having said that it stil goes on with the ease that one expects from OPI. Would I buy again? yes I think so unless someone can recommend a better day time subtle polish for a TV to wear during the day.

This is the nail polish colour for wasps and stepford wives. You know those ladies who want to look understated yet elegant. Who have nice nails but not in wild shades preferred by bikie chicks and wild young things.
Its sheer. With a hint of pink. Its the polish that a ballerina would wear, the ballerina must be feminine and elegant and everything understated.
this is that nail polish.
I like it as a nice work neutral. I also like it for when my nails are short oddly shaped because of tears and I don’t want to bring attention to them. If I was at school, this would be the polish I wear so that my teachers didn’t realise I was wearing polish.
As others have said, its a cow of a thing to apply if you want opacity. If you are happy for a sheer top coat with a pinkish sheen its great, but trying to get three perfect layers to achieve the beautiful jelly tones that some bloggers have achieved with this – beyond my skills.
I will persevere with this polish, but I won’t repurchase.
It is a good dupe of Sally Hansen’s Pink Whisper, however appears to have similar formula issues.

I asked my manicurist for a sheer pink and they applied this color. It is a perfect sheer pink and I am on the hunt to buy a bottle for my line up. (I like Chanel Ballerina, as well as Essi Ballerina Slippers, and London Butter Hen Party) With just one coat it really dresses my nails up.

it is a lovely colour in the bottle, but is so incredibly sheer. the reason why i gave this a 3 and why it isn’t lower is because OPI’s formula makes it super easy to layer, however, even with a good 4 layers you can still see the white of your fingernail. in Australia, the retail price is $20 which is just too much for a sheer colour, where you could get a much more pigmented colour for less. OPI’s formula is always lovely though, in the sense that it doesn’t chip, dries quickly and you don’t need a top coat.

Twin sister of Bubble Bath, except it dries like forever.Maybe I got the bad batch?
I really -seriously- really can’t spot the difference between the two of them.
Tried Bubble Bath on 1 nail, Barre My Soul on the other, and there, they both are identical.
On the bottle, Barre My Soul is slightly yellow-y than Bubble Bath that is definitely pink, but on my nail, they both look exactly the same.
Read a review somewhere that said that Barre My Soul is ‘jelly-like’, and that got me, but no, BMS ain’t like jelly at all.
Had to apply 3 coats to get the right color -unlike Bubble Bath that only took 2 coats-, and 20 minutes later, it peeled off when I was trying to zip my jeans.
so disappointing. never going to buy this again.

Barre My Soul is a sheer beige with pink undertones, belonging to OPI’s 2012 soft shades collection. One coat is your nails only better, and two coats is your nails perfected. This is a soft shade, and not meant to be opaque. You can’t hide an imperfect nail behind it. You must apply it in very thin coats or it will streak, so it does take some practice to achieve that fluffy quality.

Honestly, It’s a pretty dull colour. The first coat applies beautifully but is so sheer there’s little difference between it and a cleat polish. If you try to build up the layers it is very, very easy to streak. If you do manage to get a couple of coats on without it looking dreadful it is a nice, understated pink perfect for work. I would have given it a three but to be honest at this price I want a better behaved polish and you could pick up a dupe from any drugstore brand that would perform just as well if not better.

I honestly really like this color, but I don’t like the sheer-ness of it. Its a great nude-light pink color, great for a base for French manicures. But I need at least 3 coats to get a remotely opaque application. And with that many coats, it smears very easily. I got this for the normal price of OPI, but I don’t think I will be buying this color again

After I saw swatches of OPI’s NYC Ballet collection, I just knew I had to have at least one. Since they are sheers, I couldn’t justify getting all 6 (they’d look quite similar once on), but I think I made a good choice with Barre My Soul.
Firstly I love the colour, the light pinky-beige looks so natural with my skin tone. Second is that it’s incredibly easy to apply, I can get extremely thin coats. In fact I’ve been wearing it over a flakies polish (Essie – Shine of the Times) to get an opal-like effect.
Worn it’s own, it looks like I have perfect natural nails – so natural looking it’s as though I just slapped a clear coat on it. It looks effortless (and it is), beautiful, elegant, and simple. It’s something you could wear to work without any worries. I actually think it’ll be great for a super natural looking french manicure too, can’t wait to get a white polish and give that a go.
