Chrome Green is from Models Own liquid metals range. It’s a light green, metallic polish.
The bottles are metallic too for this range, which means you won’t be able to see how much of the polish is left in the bottle. I like Models Own medium size brush.
The formula? Where do I start? First of all, when I unscrewed the polish for the first time I could see that the polish separated into the silver, metallic base and green colour. I rolled it in my hands for about 10 mins to combine the colours, which helped, but still my first coat went on stripy. I carried on rolling the bottle and by the time I went to apply the 2nd coat, the polish was well mixed.
It was very brushstroke-y on the 1st coat. Even though I left 10 minutes between the coats, when I went to apply the 2nd coat it would drag the first coat off. The only positive about Chrome Green is that it dries in seconds.
The finished mani was an uneven, brushstroke-y mess. I was considering to remove it straight after I applied it, but I decided to stamp over it instead, which has covered the imperfections.
It is fair to say that I will not be repurchasing Chrome Green or any other polishes from this line.
