A friend recently gave me a box of her nail polishes because she was moving away and didn’t want to bother taking them. Mikka was one of those nail polishes. It has been one of the more disappointing polishes I’ve tried from Zoya. It applied well, but was a three coater for me and seemed to chip easily. I also don’t love the color. I don’t hate it, but would like it more if it was more purple. On me, it looks very brown with just a hint of purple. Overall, it was a bust.

Mikka is such a gorgeous, deep, shimmery jewel-toned eggplant. It does require two coats, but for the most part it applies evenly. It’s classy meets vampy.

This is the darkest color I have ever tried and I really like it. It’s very deep, yet has a richness to it. As the other reviewer said, it covers well in 2 coats. I will definitely keep using it but won’t repurchase because I had chipping by Day 4.

Zoya Mikka is from the Fall 08 Pulse collection and is a deep, rich metallic purple with threads of silver frost. I would call it cool toned, although the colour is rich enough that I think warm toned people could wear it as well.
This is the perfect shade for vampy nails if you don’t feel like wearing black. Looks great on toes also!
Mikka applied beautifully, and achieved total coverage in two coats (probably could be in one coat if you’re more skilled at application than I am!)
My only complaint with Mikka is that ot doesn’t appear to last as long as some of my other polishes, I had chipping within the first day that I wore it. It seemed to peel a little at the edges, though granted my nails are not too strong.
I’m not sure if I would purchase again considering the plethora of deep purple nailpolishes available, I might find one with slightly better staying power.
