I got the lux colors set and I’m really digging the one-coat polishes. I have been doing my own gels for awhile and usually use a sensationail lamp and have played with opi products (love) gelish products (just ok) and ibd polishes (great for cheap colors haven’t played with the base or topcoat). What I like about these polishes is that they go on much more similar to regular polish (they look very goopy in the bottle but do not go on that way) and it’s much quicker when you get to skip the steps. I’ve only had mine on for a few days so I’m not sure if they wear as long but no tip wear or lifting after 3 days so it’s a great start and a friendly price point. I used the melodysusie lamp but I’m going to try the polishes with my sensationail lamp as well for science.
I do wish the packaging gave you a better idea of which polishes were which color so you didn’t have to open the bottle to figure out the colors you are using but there are small stickers on the cap and it does prevent the product from being exposed to light.
I like using gel as a base for nail art b/c you can just wipe off biffs without starting from square one. These seem like a great way to skip several steps.

As someone new to the world of do it at home Gel Polishes, I liked the idea of a one-step gel. I also liked the idea of buying six gel polishes in a pack for a reasonable price as a starter kit.
I already had decided to get the MelodySusie LED UV Lamp, so getting the one step gel polishes was a no brainer.
There’s a lot of technique to Gel Polishes, and I’m still learning, so these are great. This is a pack of six really pretty pastel spring summer colours so they are fun and wearable. Using the LED lamp they take about 30 seconds to dry, 2 coats to be opaque.
What i like about these is how forgiving they are. While I’m learning and making mistakes they are a bit half way between a normal polish and a gel. If my Nail isn’t completely clean and dry, if I don’t keep the coats very thin and cap my tip, i get a finish that looks really pretty and shiny and professional, but that doesn’t last as long and is so easy to remove. I hate how gel polishes trash your nails by requiring hours to remove, not this stuff. Scour the top with your nail file, dip you finger into some acetone, and it just lifts right off.
I’ve been talking to another MUA nail boarder who says she gets at least 10 days wear out of these, she is using a base coat and a top coat and is more experienced at application than I am. However, I easily get a few days wear out of these, they look great, they are quick to remove and because of that 30 second dry time, super easy to reapply (no waiting around for your polish to set like a normal polish).
Conclusion, I’m looking forward to continuing to use these, i really like them, i think they are a great Gel option for a beginner like myself, I get compliments on the manicure from friends and work colleagues, they are easy to apply, easy to remove and are great to learn with. The colours are really pretty and this set of six is cheaper than buying one bottle of mainstream gel polish.
UPDATE: I’ve got better at this. I used a basecoat and a topcoat (gel, another brand, but any brand would work. The wear time is fantastic now – 7 days and it looks just as it good when i first did it, shiny, no tip or base wear, no peels, chips, perfect manicure. Performing exactly the same as any other gel polish. I think it could easily go for another 7 days. If you want to extend the wear time, just watch several of the multitude of soak off gel polish tutorials on youtube, prep your nails by cleaning and pushing the cuticles back, dry off with rubbing alcohol, use a gel basecoat, two layers of this one step polish, then gel topcoat, rubbing alcohol to wipe off the sticky residue and you are good to go for a few weeks.
