Yet another winner from OPI! I am a red nail polish aficionado and this is among my top 3 ever (along with OPI’s Big Apple Red and Essie’s Fishnet Stockings)
While BAR is so vivid and shiny with its warm undertone and FS is just so rich and sumptuous Love is in my cards has still depth but it’s neither too vibrant for winter nor too dark for summer. Looks neutal against my fair warm toned skin.
Consistency is pretty fantastic. Leaves a creamy finish with no streaking and nearly opaque with one coat. Pure love for this one!

Love Is In My Cards is the creme red released for the holidays in the Starlight collection from OPI. It’s just a red creme and there are lots of red cremes probably just like this out there but this red looks great on me and that is something that the majority of reds do not do. I have fair skin that is pink toned and a lot of reds are too stark of a contrast or make my hands look red or deathly pale. This red looks bright and vibrant in the bottle and looks to be cherry red, but once I got this on it looks darker and less cherry and more warm on me. This is a lovely Christmas red but it’s light enough and not deep and dark so it would work year ’round too. I really didn’t want to remove this once it was time to change mani’s. This polish wore well and I didn’t have any problems with chipping or bad tip wear. I am not a red polish lover at all and red is probably my least worn shade because I never feel comfortable in red polishes and they simply don’t compliment my skin tone. This one did. So now I have 2 reds (both from OPI) that work well for me! The formula on this was really nice and it was almost a 1 coater and it practically self levels. I really enjoyed the application on this and it went on smoothly with no streaking, no dragging, no balding, no patchiness, no flooding the cuticles, pooling, dripping, or running. The formula wasn’t too thin or watery and it wasn’t thick and gloppy either. I really like this polish a lot and for a red that is really saying something. Even though I already wore it all week and just took it off, the bottle is still sitting on my desk and I am so tempted to put this back on. Even though this is vibrant, it is a warm shade and I can’t believe I am gushing and raving over a red polish. I almost didn’t get this one as it’s “just a red”, but it isn’t just a red either. Not the way it looks on me. This isn’t going to look the same on everyone depending on coloring and tone, but it looks fantastic on me and I love it!
