Lael is a beautiful warm-toned purple polish. Like most Zoya polishes, this one is opaque, although I did have to do two coats to make sure it was just right. This could be user error from applying more than one coat, but I did find the color to be almost black, which I did not expect. This might be a turn-off for some who do not like colors that are so dark. The color is long-lasting and took a long time to chip. I would definitely repurchase Lael.

While I do prefer shimmery or glittery polishes, I do enjoy a good, rich cream polish from time to time. Lael is a nice warm plummy cream. I usually do two coats just to get the best coverage, but people who are better polishers than I am might be able to get away with one coat. Zoya’s creams don’t wear as well as some of their shimmery polishes on me, but they do still perform better than most brands’ cream polishes. This is a great fall color, and I highly recommend it, especially if you like vampy or semi-vampy colors.

Lael is a pretty plum purple with red undertones. Zoya describes Lael a warm toned polish with a shiny creme finish. I would agree with that assessment.
Lael is opaque in one coat. As I was using this as undies for another polish I only used one coat and that was enough. It is densely and richly pigmented and applies smoothly without streaking or being patchy. Texture and consistency are perfect with no running or flooding of the cuticles.
It comes in the standard Zoya polish bottle with the standard Zoya brush. There is nothing innovative about the packaging but it works well.
Zoya polishes run $10 per bottle and they are well worth that price, but Zoya frequently has sales so that is the best time to buy. All of the Zoya polishes I have tried are high quality, well pigmenated, and long lasting and as such it is one of my favorite mainstream brands. I would definitely buy Lael again.
I will update in a few days on wear and whether or not I get staining as a result of the intense pigmentation.
UPDATE 12/07/2016 – Got great wear from this polish and there was a no staining despite the dense pigmentation.

Lael is hot, hot, HOT!! I adore this shade, probably one of my most fav Zoya’s (Yasmeen ranking numero uno!).
This is the perfect transitional shade during cooler months (fall, or end of winter before spring calls for brighter shades). It’s vampy without being *too* vampy. It’s a deep rich saturated plum in a cream finish. Lighter than OPI’s LPAD. What I love about this is the richness of the shade, and that it doesn’t go “blackened” after a couple of coats. this looks fantastic, gives great shine, exceptional pigmentation and applies smoothly. Definitely a great shade that I can see just about anyone being able to pull off. It’s classic and trendy, yet the shade is timeless. Another Zoya hit in my stash!

This was my first Zoya purchase (I got a few colors) and I tried this out first. I love it! Goes on nicely, dried to a gorgeous plummy color. I put on the sparkle topcoat over it however, which I wish I hadn’t done – I think this color would love much nicer with a clear topcoat. Next time I’ll skip the sparkle… but it’s a great color. It looks a little dark when not in direct light, but the plum really pops out in sunlight. I uploaded a few pictures to my profile.

I finally found the perfect vampy purple for me! I’m cool toned and pale and this never looks black on me! It is a wonderful eggplant creme. I only needed two coats. I used Zoya’s base coat and Poshe as a top coat. I’m on day two with no tipwear and no chips. I love Zoya polish!

I had been wanting this for a long time by the time I got it. Somehow it wasn’t what I thought. It also was very thick. I believe it has a red undertone, which perhaps isn’t suiting me.

First off, I like Zoya. I think they have some great colors, but I find it really hard to pay their prices when they aren’t on sale (especially when I can get OPI for cheaper and it’s more expensive retail) and the staying power is not so great unless you buy their top/base coat.
Aside from that, this is a nice color. It’s a very true eggplant purple. I like a creme, but this is a vampy creme, so sometimes it can show every possible mistake you make. But I like it, just not crazy about it. I will keep it for now, because I don’t have anything like it, but I have a feeling this may go up for swap. Again, I like it, just not crazy for it.

I got this in a swap and will definitely keep it since it isn’t like any other polish I have, including OPI’s LPAM which is deeper and inkier than this. In most light, this looks like a true eggplant. In the bottle, it looks brighter and plummier and in some instances can look more plum. It’s completely matte, which is a feature I’m not crazy about, but it’s still a nice formula and gives great opaque application with two coats. This also doesn’t have the blackened effect which so many OPI shades have.
For whatever reason, this shade looks much darker and like that true eggplant I mentioned than it does on rocketqueen. In her pictures, there’s a fair amount of red in the shade, but I don’t get that when I wear it…
