Very attractive and flattering in the summer. Hot hot pink with a slight blue/purple shimmer. The shimmer is subtle and just adds a bit of glow.

La Paz-itively Hot is a well-known, classic shade from OPI. It is a bright shade of hot, Barbie pink – cool toned and medium pink – with a blue reflect when it hits certain lights. The reflect gives the polish an amazing glow from within and makes the shade even more vibrant. It really pops on the nails. This shade looks amazing as a pedicure, and amazing against a suntan – though I think all skintones could pull off this shade. To me, this is the ultimate Barbie shade of nail polish – super girly, bright and fun. It has a great formula, fully opaque in two coats and easy to apply. It has great staying power, lasting for around 5 days when paired with base and top coat – in line with my other OPIs. I highly recommend this shade, it’s one of my top OPIs.

La Pazitively Hot first appeared in the summer 2002 South America collection, and is now part of the core line. It is a Barbie pink shade, with a very subtle blue/violet shimmer. This is a great all-rounder; it looks good on all skintones, is wearable all seasons, and all occasions. I’ve removed one lippie as the shimmer is a lot more muted on the nails, than what the polish in the bottle promised…
The reason that the second lippie removal and why I wouldn’t rebuy this shade is because the formula is thin [but not watery] and straddles the line between being a creme and a jelly; I can still see vnl after applying 3 coats, but the formula doesn’t have the same look of ‘squishiness’ that a true jelly gives. I don’t mind vnl so usually just wear two coats when I wear this polish, but overall I doubt I’ll rebuy this polish due to the not-sure-which-way-to-go formula – for a 3+ coater I’d much rather have a full on jelly polish, rather then a middle-of-the-road one. Nail polishes will last me anywhere between two to four days with only minimal wear. But as I’m a self powered wheelchair user I’m tough on my hands and am always catching my nails, so I can’t really speak for how long lasting the formula is overall.
Ciate Cupcake Queen is extremely similar to this, but has a better formula.

Gorgeous! This is a hot fuschia pink with the prettiest purple flash. It’s a dreamy shade.

My niece (13 years older than me buy the way- but thats another story) bought this last summer but I never used it. A couple weeks ago I found it again and its good I really like it.

One of OPI’s most underrated polishes — along with Hot & Spicy.

OPI La Paz-itively Hot originally came out in the 2002 South American collection. A matte version came out later but this review is for the original.
It is a shiny hot pink with a subtle flash of violet to make it more interesting.
The formula is runny as others have stated, but I got bottle color in two coats, with the pro wide brush. The wear was very good.
I’m giving this 3 lippies for the formula. I wish it was a true duo-chrome like the fantastic Kinky In Helsinki. OPI has retired many great shades and I’m bored with the ones they come out with and most of the classic line but La Paz is worth checking out for the color.

Love this pink! This color is energizing! Beautiful for spring and summer. Looks great on fair or tan skin.

This is one of my favorite hot pink polishes. It is a bright fuschia with purple micro-shimmer. The purple in this shade makes it stand out from other bright pink shades. It has a thinner consistancy, and it takes three coats to become opaque. It’s really pretty against my fair skin, and I wear it on both my fingers and toes.
