I was looking for a hot pink gel polish at Walmart. I saw the Kiss colour gel polish and the bottle was hot pink.. fantastic – exactly what I was looking for. I continued to browse a bit, but didn’t see anything remotely close to this great looking hot pink gel polish. I have a UV lamp, but this Kiss gel polish uses an LED lamp, so i splurged and bought their LED lamp, Kiss base coat and Kiss top coat. I had been using that Sally Hansen Miracle Gel crap.. but ever since they made their top coat thicker than goopy syrup, it never dries right and I was in the market for something new.
$80 later and i was ready to paint my fingernails HOT PINK!
Sadly… after opening up all the packaging, getting my personal nail salon station set up in my living room… doing a round of the base coat.. the nail polish is NOT hot pink.
It’s not even the same color at all, that is advertised on the bottle. My nails are reddish coral and I’m so disappointed that I emailed a complaint to Kiss directly.
You had one job nail polish… be the colour you claim to be 🙁
The worst.

This is my first review on this board. I love doing gel polish manicures and invested in some products quite some time ago. I purchased a UV lamp from eBay and slowly started collecting different polishes. I have used the Red Carpet Manicure from the time I got my lamp and supplies. This works great. I usually use the RCM base and top coat and any gel polish. These have all worked fine together. ( Shellac, RCM, gelish, OPI, sensationail) I recently bought the Kiss Everlasting base and top coat polishes. It’s a pretty big bottle and the price is really good; which is why I decided to try it. These particular products did not work so well for me. I’ve tried a few times now and notice that my nail polish peels off in a day. That usually doesn’t happen with the other brands. I don’t know if it’s because my lamp is a UV lamp and this polish is LED??? Anyway, I have used the RCM base + Kiss gel color + RCM top and have had no problems what so ever. It seems just to be the base and top coat in this brand that does not work for me. The color polish works fine but I won’t be using anymore of the base or top coat in this brand. As I’ve mentioned before, it could be because my lamp is a UV lamp and not an LED lamp. I’m not sure but I won’t be repurchasing anymore base or top in this brand.

I am so in love with this!
At first I was worried that it was going to be time consuming, or hard to use, but it really was dead easy.
I bought the starter kit (mine came with the “punch” colour) as well as the Kiss LED lamp.
The starter kit came with a little bottle of the base coat, the colour, and the top coat, as well as the gel cleaner (which I’m pretty sure is rubbing alcohol) a buffing block, cuticle pusher, file and a pack of lint free wipes.
The base coat and the top coat are available individually in much larger bottles.
The application is straightforward. Prep your nails and clean them.
Apply a layer of the base coat and cure for 30 seconds (the kiss lamp has a built in timer, but you could use any LED nail lamp, just might need to count to 30)
Next the colour, I found that the Punch was opaque enough to only need one coat, some other colours need more than that and each coat has to be cured one at a time. The colour cures for a full minute.
Then the top coat.
I got a little hung up here as after all that my nails still felt tacky. I was worried that my nails had not cured properly. I went online and found that I was supposed to go over them again with the “gel cleaner”. This removed the tacky layer and they were dry and hard.
The finish was still very pretty and glossy afterwards.
The polish lasted a good week and a half. The bottle claims “up to two weeks” I believe it could last that long, but my nails grow faster than that and they were looking grown out.
The removal was dead easy and took no time at all.
I have since added more colours to my collection and love them all. I have the Juicy, which is a really great pinky coral, the Sweet, which is a minty teal, and the galaxy which is silver glitter.
I much prefer the larger bottles to the ones in the starter kit.
This polish is amazing, and really not that expensive. It really does last a long time, and it looks like salon quality on the nails.
