In My Santa Suit by OPI from the Mariah Carey 2013 Christmas Collection – what a gorgeous shade of red! Red is my favourite nail polish to wear (it’s my favourite colour) and this red is simply stunning. It is perfect for Christmas of course but can be worn year round. Since it was part of a LE it has been discontinued, but can still be found online. I live in Canada and purchased it a month ago from Sparkle Canada dot com. Not only is the colour gorgeous, but the formula and application are a dream. It’s so easy to apply and control the polish. It’s not too runny (doesn’t flood the cuticles) or too thick (doesn’t drag during application), dries fairly quickly and goes precisely where you put it. Until I discovered this colour, OPI I’m Not Really A Waitress was my favourite pearlized red. I still love INRAW, but IMSS has taken over as my favourite pearlized red (OPI Red Hot Rio is still my favourite creme red). I took off one lippy because it wears fairly quickly and needs frequent touch-ups. I am willing to live with this because the colour is so beautiful. As another reviewer said before me, I could keep this polish and throw away all my others – I love it that much!

Shame this isn’t the deep red you see on the bottle – translates more as a golden red very similar to Revlon’s frankly scarlet and OPI’s I’m not really a waitress – just a tad deeper and more gold based – overall not that flattering on my pale yellow undertoned skin. Does dry fast though and applies beautifully – just not the red for my skintone.

This is a deep metallic burgundy-red shade. I’ve head it’s very close to OPI’s I’m not Really a Waitress, but I haven’t had the chance to compare them in person myself.
I wore this over the holidays on my tips and toes and I loved it so much I was thinking of getting rid of all my other nail colors (all 200+) and just wearing this. It is just that beautiful!
The formula was perfect, I used two coats but added a third for extra depth. I said it was metallic, but it has more of a deep shimmery finish. LOVE!

This color is similar to a red foil that reminds me of a cranberry red. The application is really even and smooth. With all OPI polishes, be sure to cap off the nail with each coat due to its proneness to chipping. If you cap, the polish lasts about 6 days including laundry, washing dishes, and baking. Unfortunately it is a limited edition, which means if you fall in love with it, better stock up for the apocalypse. Best place to buy opi is jcp salon, when they often sell them for bogo 50% off and bring coupons.

In My Santa Suit is a perfect, classic red shimmer that’s part of the Mariah Carey Holiday collection. The formula is absolutely superb and I thought that OPI did such a fantastic job with this polish. The application was so effortless and fantastic. It dries really fast as well. In terms of opacity, it can be a one-coater (if you do a somewhat thick coat). I used two coats in order for the shimmer to have a bit more depth and dimension. IMSS is one of the best polishes that I own. I highly recommend!

love this beautiful shade of shimmery red. I’m wearing it for New Years with Pirouette My Whistle over top. <3
Ok it's about a year later and I have to say that In My Santa Suit has become one of my all time favorite red nail polishes. It really is that perfect shade of "santa suit" red. Not too bright or too dark, but just a really nice, deep, shimmery Christmasy red. I'm wearing it with Morgan Taylor's "glitter & gold" on my accent nails (ring fingers).

In My Santa Suit is a brand new release for holiday 2013 Mariah Carey collection. This is a beautiful warm holiday red that is an elegant shimmery red and does not lean magenta or blue at all like a lot of holiday reds tend to do. This is a shimmer finish polish and has gorgeous sparkles within. This polish is opaque in 1 coat, but I did 2 for richness and depth. The formula glides right on and it easily workable without dragging, pooling, streaking, or flooding the cuticles. This is easily one of the best formulas OPI has done. While doing this mani, I was using OPI’s Alpine Snow for accent nails and it was streaky, did not go on evenly and balded when I tried to drag the polish to the sides, so after using that, I picked this up for the red nails and fell in love with this gem right away! Not only is the formula perfect and gives opaque coverage in only 1 coat, but it is also very flattering to my fair skintone and rather than give me lobster hands or make me look pallid this makes my skin look creamy and milky and I love the way this beautiful red looks on me! No wonder it’s sold out in stores so quickly. This is my favorite polish out of all 18 released in this holiday edition. After I could not find this one in stores, all the displays were sold out of this one color, I ended up ordering this online at Amazon and it was 6.60 with free shipping! I would have paid $8 plus tax at the store so even though I came home empty handed and had to wait, I ended up with a better deal in the end. Definitely grab this one before it’s gone, as it is limited edition.
