This is THE perfect color for fall and the holiday season. This red is. Very deep, almost black cherry in color. It’s got shimmer but isn’t glittery. It’s an amazing, interesting color with depth. I’m so glad I picked it up. It was also the last bottle in this shade, so that in and of itself should say something.
Very flattering on my medium tan skin. I’ll definitely be buying this one again!

This color is gorgeous. I always get compliments when wearing it. One of my favorites from CG.

Now that it’s fall, time to go from crazy brights to vampy dark digits! I was so eager for some fresh paint that I made a trip to Sally’s for the sole purpose of getting Ruby Slippers from China Glaze(to see what all the hype was about). When I got there, the first color I picked up was Heat of Africa and I didnt put it down till I got to the register. Its a dark shimmery(not glittery) red. I think this was the color I ultimately wanted to get. There was a very similar color that was a tad brighter red but I opted for the darker one. The second I got it on my nails, I was in love! The only reason it doesn’t get 5 stars is the quality of the product. Applies well, opaque in even 1 coat but the lasting power sucks! After 4 days, I had to change my color cuz of the chips! I usually change my color every 7-10 days. But for some reason, I couldn’t stand the amount of chipping this nail polish. My skin tone is still dark (med beige) from summer rays so maybe that’s why it looks so good. I hope I still love it when my tan fades! As for now, this will be go to color of the Fall/Winter 2012.

I bought this polish about a year ago at Sally Beauty & never used it. Was in the mood today for a dark polish and this was my choice – hoping it hadn’t dried out & gotten gloopy. It hadn’t!
I like the application with this thinner polish as I can do a much neater job than with thicker polishes. Even with one coat it was very opaque and *gorgeous*!
The color looks very very deep shimmery red/burgandy – except when it looks more brown LOL – just depends on the lighting. I’m not a fan of polishes with brown tones but this color is so beautiful I know it’ll be a fave of mine for fall/winter.
It’s a sophisticated color that looks like it must be a very expensive polish (which it’s not!) so if you’re looking for a polish for a special occasion or just want a pick-me-up via a fab mani, give Heart of Africa a try!

I was told China Glaze nail polishes are the best, so I had to try them. This was the first color I tried. Not only is the color gorgeous, the wear of this polish is second to none. I usually re-do my manicure once a week and this is the first time that I went 7 days without even the slightest chip in sight! I’m very impressed! This polish truly is the best I’ve used. I use Orly Rubberized Base Coat and Orly “In A Snap” top coat, which are miracle products, too. Combined with this polish and I could go longer than a week between manicures. I’ve recently purchased China Glaze White on White (for a french manicure) and Up All Night. Can’t wait to try more.

This is my first China Glaze polish and I am in love with it! It goes on just as good, if not better than OPI or Essie and the color is stunning. It’s like I’m Not Really A Waitress but darker.

My go-to everyday color that as soon as I apply it… Bam! I feel sexy and put together! I used to buy chanel vamp but find this to be very similar for MUCH less money. Love this! Its a dark reddish-raspberry with a very slight shimmer. Great on short nails.

The deep brown metallic color is gorgeous, it has a hint of red but not as much as what other reviewers describe. The application was smooth–this was my first China Glaze purchase and in terms of application and the final look of my at-home manicure I found it superior to OPI by leaps and bounds. Then on day two it started chipping. Big time. So although I love the color and the look, it’s back to old faithful OPI.

This is a gorgeous deep shimmery wine color. Had it put on with a pedicure and its just lovely. I just had family visiting and my favorite cousin told me how much she liked this color on my toes. Makes me feel sophisticated and womanly. Ha! That’s saying a lot of a nail polish. Funny thing was I picked this out of a gazillion shades to have put on and my nail technician then pointed to her own toes and said she was wearing the same thing and that it was her favorite color.

Pretty metallic burgandy! Looks great on anyone, I would think…very sexy. Sadly it chips easily on me, even with muliple top coats & a nice base coat. :o( I would still buy again, b/c I love the color so much!
