Mellow yellow is a bright, cream yellow nail polish. It goes well at the application, the brush goes well also.it’s a verry nice summery color! Love it!

I love the color but it’s so streaky and kind of sheer 🙁 I had to apply 3 coats for it to look decent. I’m going to try applying it on a sponge for an ombré and hope that comes out better!

I love this little olive tone and is always the color I know. It stands up to the stiff fleece so I love it. It is a beautiful gray in shades, also long lasting. It also does give a wearable appearance. I would always use this because my skin was not supple enough to apply too much pressure to it so that I could cover my pores without being irritating.

Okay, I haven’t felt this compelled to write a review in years. Years. This nail polish has a beautiful color, but the formula is a disaster. It’s streaky, not opaque, and so so so incredibly liquid-y. I was giving myself a pedicure and this nail polish is so watery that it dripped down onto the skin around my nails. I can already tell that it’s going to take forever to dry. I’m so disappointed because I love the color, but I will not be repurchasing again.
On a similar note, the Xtreme Wear nail polishes are so hit or miss. I have the white one (don’t remember the exact shade name) and it has the complete opposite problem that Mellow Yellow does; it is so goopy and thick that it makes a manicure virtually impossible. All in all I’m disappointed because this line of nail polish has beautiful colors at an affordable price, but at this point I really recommend that you save your money and get an Essie polish. Honestly, Sinful Colors is just as cheap (if not cheaper) and is a thousand times better.

I was looking for a affortable yellow nail polish when I found this one by Sally Hansen.
The color is a perfect true Yellow and look amazing. The main problem I have with this nail polish is that it’s watery and need atleast 3 coats. I was able to get an opac nail polish after I did 3 thin coats, which all dried really quickly. I wore it for a week and it was a little bit chipped on the tip and the corners, but it still looked o.k. Beside I do not think I would buy another bottle when mine will be empty because this polish take a lot of work and time to look good.
I normaly really love Sally Hansen nail polish, but this one is a pass!

Extremely streaky. I had to put 4 coats on for it to look decent. If you’re doing marbling, it works ok against a black background.

I found some original bottles of color xtreme recently and Mellow Yellow is one I picked up. I was excited to find a sunshine yellow, the new hue has more orange in it.
I have to say that the formula was awful. If you try thin layers the streaks are worse. After three heavy layers of trying to smooth this out I added some polish thinner and redid a few toes, no luck. The search for a pretty yellow continues…

Personally I didn’t have a problem with this color. The first coat is streaky but after that everything else goes on smooth. It’s a nice yellow perfect for spring and looks really pretty.

This is probably one of the worst nail polishes I’ve used. I needed three coats for my desired look, and the yellow isn’t that good of a yellow. It also doesn’t stay very well, even with a top and a base coat. Out of all the Xtreme Wear polishes I own (and all of my polishes in general) this is one of my least favorite.

I have the black capped bottle, so this is probably the newer formula. I’m a big fan of this polish line. Mellow Yellow is a medium-bold yellow creme, is not a pastel, but is not quite as bold a color as a New York taxicab. To tone down the bright color, I topped this with 2 coats of Sally Hansen’s Disco Ball glitter polish, which was a perfect complement that softened the look a little. It was a tad on the thick side, and I can see the need for a thinner with future applications. It was easily opaque with the 2nd coat, but it wasn’t quite as good at self-levelling as other cremes from this line, so you have to work carefully and fairly quickly. I used a Revlon top coat. This line wears very well, but I did notice some tip wear and cracking sooner than with other colors, maybe into the 3rd day. I’m spoiled with having this line of polish last a couple days longer, but 3 days isn’t too bad, really. A cheerful spring/summer polish.

I really wanted to like this color because i really wanted a yellow polish for spring and summer but….it was sooo streaky! pretty bummed about it..if it wasnt streaky it would be amazing but unfortunantly this is just a no go =/
