It has been over a week since I put this on, and I have mowed, weeded and pruned. It still looks good and shiny and practically as good as new. it is worn in one or two places when I look closely, but I could get away with touching up rather than putting a new coat on. This will be my nail polish of choice forever. The contrast between it and L’Oreal, a brand that I used to love, is astonishing; I don’t know what’s happened to L’Oreal.
The bottle’s a bit plain & utility, but I don’t care about that. It’s well priced and would be worth it at twice the price.

Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme wear. I purchased it with great expectations but I waited for it to dry and I waited and waited and after 30 minutes, it still WASNT DRY. What the heck?? VERY DISAPPOINTED!!

This is not a topcoat. It’s a clear polish for those people who want their nails nice and glossy but don’t want colour. As a clear polish, it’s great. As a topcoat? No! I had a bottle of this that I wanted to use up and after reading the reviews here decided to use my bottle as a topcoat just to get it used and gone. As others have mentioned, it takes forever to dry, this has resulted in many a smudged, sheet marked and rather ordinary mani. Yes it’s shiny, but honestly Sally Hansen make so many great top coats that I don’t know why anyone in their right mind would willingly buy this as a topcoat. Do yourself a favour, only buy this if you like clear polish on your nails, it’s great for that job. If you are looking for a top coat buy one of the products that is sold as a top coat and pass on this. And yes, I’ve finished my bottle and I’m obviously not in my right mind because I persevered with this as a top coat.

This polish adds a lot of shine, seals the color coats to prevent chipping, and dries reasonably quickly. However it is very thick and if you don’t wipe the brush off a lot on the bottle rim to get enough polish off, it will go on thick/goopy and end up drying with bubbles. I prefer the Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Clear polish to this, which dries faster and has never given me problems with bubbles.

This stuff is fantastic! Cheap and does the job well! Especially great for smoothing down glitter polish!
But it has two cons that were frustrating for me to deal with at first: I have to use a thinner about halfway down the bottle, because otherwise it becomes very thick and stringy. But worst of all, I had issues with the polish bubbling every time. I figured out that it was because I used thick coats without realizing it, this occurred due to the brush which holds much more product than you actually need. Beware!
Other than that this is a wonderful product, I’ve already repurchased it at least 5 times in the past year! Recommended!

This is my favorite top coat. I’ve been buying it for ages and will continue to do so. It dries quickly and makes my nails shine! One warning is that the brush holds a lot of polish so you need to take some of it off before applying so you don’t cover all of your finger tips with it!

This is my current top coat and have been using it for a while. I like it, but I don’t like how long it takes to dry. Even after hours of painting my nails, they still smudge. Another thing that I don’t like is that it’s horrible with nail design 🙁 it smears all of my hard work. But after trial & error over the years, I’ve found that if I let the design sit for a few hours (literally) & then put the top coat on, it works out fine.
I love the price & it does a pretty glossy job. I also like the packaging, it’s very easy to fit it in a tight spot in my nail rack. I’ve been using it for years.. I’ve tried so many other top coats & this one ends up out-doing every one of them. Just hate the wait! :/

This is my HG top, bottom and everything in between coat. I wasn’t expecting much for $2.99, but I was pleasantly surprised.
It’s super glossy, super long-wearing, and sooooo cheap! I frequently do white tips and a few coats of this on top and my mani lasts for at least a week which is amazing because I work at a pet store which is super rough on my hands.
I see a lot of past reviewers didn’t like the drying time and found it dented. I would guess why had too thick a coat which is very easy to do with the stupid brush that’s in the bottle.. There’s something about the design of it that holds wayyyyyyyyy too much product. I take about 75% of what’s on the brush off before I apply to my nails and I find the drying time is pretty quick.

This is a pretty good top coat. It makes my manicures last well over a week and sometimes, with the case of nail “stickers” well up to three weeks. The only problem I have with this is that it takes longer than I’d like for it to dry, but I guess that’s the price to pay for nails that last. This is my second bottle…when I went to pick up a new top coat, I stayed with this one because I knew I couldn’t go wrong! No chipping, which is an instant winner in my book.

I can’t stand this product. I was looking for a cheap topcoat that would do the job, and this just isn’t it. It takes forever to dry, an hour at least to achieve a remotely full dryness. And even then, if I touch it it will leave finger prints or some sort of dent. I’m much happier paying $5 for Seche Vite and waiting a minute rather than saving two dollars on a horrid one. I’ve given it a shot multiple times, but it’s just not working. Plus this stuff is a nightmare for nail art, it will smudge it regardless if it’s dry or wet. It may work for others, but this Xtreme wear is just an extreme let down for me. Into the trash it goes.
