Happy Go Lucky is from the Up & Away spring 2010 collection, and it is a no nonsense bright yellow creme that doesn’t need to be layered over a white polish.
The first coat can be streaky, so it alternates between two and three coats to neaten & level it out, but for such a light & bright shade I think that’s very good. The formula doesn’t seem very thin to me, but it can pool at the shades of the nails, so be careful not to overload your brush whilst applying this polish.
Here’s my usual statement- nail polishes in general will last me anywhere between two to four days with only minimal wear. But as I’m a self powered wheelchair user I’m tough on my hands and am always catching my nails, so I can’t really speak for how long lasting the formula is overall.

I like this color, I don’t know why I’m obsessed with yellow lately but being this my first yellow colored polish (had a huge collection years ago, not sure if yellow was apart of it) I really like it. I think it could have some improvements, the application is quite streaky, the first time I used it I had to do 3 coats. The second time I promised myself I would take more time and only use 2. It took me a while but only 2 coats and it was pretty saturated and no streaks or bald spots. BUT I can’t get it to look perfect like the photos on here or the photos that some of the bloggers have. It dried kinda thick and is subject to chips and peeling so thats not very good. But I think it’s a nice yellow. I want to try other shades of yellow, maybe Sally Hansen Insta dri lightening or maybe some pastel yellows from another brand. I just think this is perfect for summer tho!

I am absolutely not a fan of of this polish – from application to actual color. I call it Donald Duck yellow – somewhere in between road paint and rubber ducky. It does not look good on fair skin. Like other reviewers, I had to apply the polish at least three times to achieve the totally opaque look. To be fair, part of my problem is that I am usually not successful in sitting long enough to let the paint dry before attempting some activity. Would not buy again nor recommend.

I was unsure about how the yellow wold look on my skin tone. But it turned out great. The formula wasn’t goopy for me at all. I did need at least three coats to make it completely opaque. The colour is great. It’s not neon and definitely very bright and summery.

My best yellow like ever!!! It’s opaque after two layers. So happy and bright color, I just love it!

It’s a nice banana yellow. The color looks good with my skin tone and it doesn’t look like nail fungus, which I think a lot of yellow polishes do. It only gets 3 lippies because of the formula though. I could not get it opaque for the life of me! I have all the other polishes from this collection (Up and Away) and I didn’t have any problems with their formula. But this seemed to go on thick and I suffered polish drag no matter what I did! For this reason I’ll have to find another go-to yellow. The formula on this one just drives me crazy!

This is a bright, but not neon, cheery yellow creme polish from China Glaze. This is my first China Glaze polish to try and I am very happy with the product. The formula is smooth, opacity is good (2 coats), and it’s just an awesome color for days you need a little pick-me-up. Even my mother who never cares about nails noticed and complimented me when I wore this. 🙂

I picked this up hoping it’d be an adequate dupe to Essie’s Shorty Pants (which I totally missed out on long, long ago). Based on online swatches, I’d say this yellow isn’t quite there, though that’s not to say it’s a bad color. It’s a warm, sunny yellow that isn’t neon, which is definitely a welcome change.
The formula was a bit tough to work with. While pigmented, it’s thick and goopy, making it difficult to get even coverage. I ended up having to use three coats to cover up bald spots.
I won’t be picking this up again; not because the application was spotty (I’m willing to put up with a lot if I like the color!), but the yellow just doesn’t suit my tastes.

I was so very happily surprised about how beautiful this color was on my nails. The formula was a little goopy for me. I may have to add some thinner to it later but after two coats I was very pleased.
Its a bright and beautiful yellow that sceams of joy and happiness. I received many compliments when I wore this on my hands. I was surprised to be complimented because its a very loud color and does not work for everyone
Chine Glaze is vey affordable. If you like bright colors or want to try a pop of color for spring/summmer this is a must. I’m suprised to be the first one to review it
