Femme Fatale is an Australian indi brand. I bought mine through their UK stockist. And although this way the polishes seem more expensive, at least you don’t have to worry about oversees shipment charge and the Duty charge thereafter.
Time Lapse is created exclusively for Rainbow Connection (UK indi polish stockist). It contains glitter, shimmer and flakies (purple, blue and green) all set in a purple jelly. You can probably use this polish by itself, but I used China Glaze Mix and Mingle as a base colour. I think changing the base colour will change the look of this polish. I will be trying lighter base colour next time, as with my current choice it looks too dark for day time wear. Usually I love vampy polishes, but I felt this one with all that shiny glitter was a step too far.
So, I used a base coat, 2 coats of CG Mix and Mingle, 2 coats of Time Lapse and 2 coats of top coat (as with the flakies I struggle to achieve smooth finish), with so many coats it looked thick on the nail. The removal was a challenge, as can be expected with any glitter polish.
I bought it for its novelty value, but I don’t love it as much as I thought I would. I would not be repurchasing, but it is a nice polish to add to my swelling collection.
