This is from Revlon’s Brilliant Strength line, and it’s a creamy off-white. It’s more sheer than I expected, and even three coats was not fully opaque. I do like this polish, but I wish it was less sheer.
I’m actually a bit surprised by how good this looks on me. I have a LOT of trouble with light colours and especially whites and off-whites. Many yellowy polishes likewise look terrible on my pale, cool-toned complexion, but this, despite being clearly on the warm-cream side, looks pretty nice on me. (I’m unlikely to wear it as a full manicure “as is” because I just rarely wear pale/nude/white/cream polishes, but a double coat will make good undies for a number of specialty glitters and top coats I have.)
One thing I can say is that I tried this for tips (shown in photo), and it looks really nice, super natural. Nail tips are not normally stark white, and I actually don’t like the super-white-opaque-tips thing very much. I don’t do French or American manicures often (I tend to find them very boring), but now and then I have reason to wear one, and until now, I’ve used a sheer white (OPI Funny Bunny is my personal fave for this purpose), but from now on, I’ll be using Embody, because the tips look very clean and natural with this polish. One coat of this on the tips, then one coat of Essie Sugar Daddy over the whole nail (including the painted tip), instant “natural nails but so much better”.
I also want to mention that I like the brush in this much better than the standard, skinny brush Revlon uses in their main polish line. This one is flatter, wider, and with a curved tip. Very easy to use. Also should note that this polish is on the thin and viscous side, and like so many other Revlon polishes, it flooded my cuticles the first time I tried to apply it.
So, while I did buy this thinking it would be more opaque (admittedly, I bought it without looking it up online first), I’m not at all unhappy with this purchase, and I think I would buy it again. It’s a versatile polish which is quite flattering on my hands, and makes absolutely excellent off-white tips, and, being sheer, I expect it would be great for a glitter sandwich manicure, as well.
